Film: Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)
This review contains examples of:
- Previously on…: Since the Nostalgia Critic skips out the even-numbered Star Trek movies, as most people consider them superior to the odd-numbered ones, he does a recap in the style of the 1960's Batman series, in this case, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
- Running Gag: The alien dealer saying "Genesis?!".
- Shout-Out: "Any time you need to use the word 'tiny,' just use the word 'Takei' instead."
- So Okay, It's Average: In-Universe, he thinks the film isn't anything special, but doesn't deserve to be lumped into the "odd numbers are bad" rule.
- Take That!: The Critic begins his review by saying that a new toy called Genesis creates new life but still can't create a good Sonic game in years.
- Too Dumb to Live: The Critic calls Scotty on this, after he says he didn't expect them to enter combat."Yes, because stealing a starship and being hunted by the entire Federation would never put you in a situation where you needed to defend yourself!"
"Genesis?!"
