- Gilligan Cut: The Framing Device is Jubilee asking the Critic (who has done various commercial reviews in the past) to critique a commercial she shot for Xavier's School for Gifted Children, featuring staff and students proclaiming how the school has improved them...before a shift in the timeline changes them into blatantly contradicting the last thing they just said.
- Gory Discretion Shot: When Wolverine transforms from a mentor figure to a bloodthirsty maniac, all we see is blood literally flying out of the Critic's screen.
