Recap / The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh S 4 E8a Piglets Poohetry

Go To

Piglet takes an interest in poetry only for Tigger to grow bored of it and mock his work. Piglet manages to turn the tables during his next poetry session, however...

This Episode contains examples of...

  • Beware the Nice Ones: One of very few times Piglet gets irritated enough to initiate a comeuppance onto anyone (namely Tigger). And boy is it a Cool and Unusual one.
  • Bizarro Episode: This episode is VERY odd. The poetry seems to be imaginary, but all the characters also experience it? To say it's out there is an understatement.
  • Cardboard Prison: Piglet tries to create something to protect himself from Tigger coming in to hear his poetry after what happened last time. However, right as he's starting, Tigger easily saws through his roof to join in.
  • Continuity Nod: Piglet is likely also getting payback for when Tigger hijacked his not-so-scary story in "The Monster Frankenpooh".
  • The Dog Bites Back: Piglet gets revenge on Tigger ruining his poem by making him go through a comedic combination of the entire premise of The Incredible Shrinking Man and Humiliation Conga.
  • Have a Gay Old Time: [Tigger shrinking away to nothing] "I feel a little queer!"
  • Homage: Possibly to all comedic poetic forms.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: This is Piglet’s punishment for Tigger.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Unlike in "The Monster Frankenpooh", Piglet does not stand for Tigger hijacking his storytelling this time.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After one too many hijacked rewrites, Piglet pretty much makes Tigger suffer in his poetic fantasies, which is completely deserved at this point.
  • Put on a Bus: Downplayed, but as Eeyore doesn't appear in the following episode, this is his last appearance in the series.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Most of the dialogue, to go with the "poetry" theme of the episode.
  • Swallowed Whole: Tigger falls into Pooh's honey pot, and Pooh loses track of him and eats him with the rest of his honey.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Pooh, of all people, doesn't let Tigger get away with rudely declining to hear Piglet's poetry and forces him to sit down and listen.
