This episode has examples of

  • Evil Gloating: In the scene where Uncle Deadly reveals himself to be real.
  • Extreme Omnivore: In the News Flash sketch, Twiggy plays a woman who eats anything metal, even the microphone she's being interviewed with. Probably a dig at her notorious role in promoting an unrealistically slender beauty standard during her modeling career.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: During the Ballroom Dance sketch, Sam the Eagle's dancing partner asks him to explain the difference between immoral and illegal. Sam responds that immoral is doing bad things, while "ill eagle" is him with a tummy ache. As they both look disgusted, Sam points out, "I didn't write it."
  • Mood Whiplash: A goofy sketch of Twiggy taking reporters' questions abruptly turns into an entirely serious and poignant cover of "In My Life" by The Beatles.
  • On Second Thought: Twiggy does this during the closing.
Twiggy: I've really had a lovely time, Kermit. [Points to Uncle Deadly.] I even liked him.
    Uncle Deadly: [touched] Ohhhh...!
Kermit: Hey, you like him, you can have him.
Twiggy: Oh, well... not that much.
  • Real After All: At one point, it seems like the Phantom sightings was George the Janitor messing around, but it turns out that Uncle Deadly is real.

Statler: You know, every week this show looks better to me.
Waldorf: Every week your eyesight gets worse!
