  • An Aesop:
    • You shouldn't overwork yourself to make others happy; it's important to let other people help you.
    • Don't take someone's efforts for granted.
  • Bottle Episode: The episode takes place in Molly's house, with the backyard as the only outside location.
  • Butt-Monkey: Molly tries to recreate Sunnyland at home, only for her family and Libby, caught up in all the excitement, end up walking all over her.
  • Food as Bribe: To get Scratch to help her run her version of Sunnyland, Molly makes the endless sundae buffet for employees only.
Scratch: Y'know, the thing about bribery is...it works!
  • Incessant Music Madness: Molly has to play the Sunnyland theme song as part of her recreation of the park, which becomes another thing wearing on her as she works herself to exhaustion.
  • Jerkass Realization: After Molly freaks out and accidentally wrecks the wading pool attraction, Scratch, Libby, and the rest of the McGees look guilty as they realize Molly has been wearing herself out for their sake and they've been taking her efforts for granted.
  • Oh, Crap!: Molly after she's run herself ragged entertaining the rest of the family and then realizes she has to do it all again the next day, and five more days after that.
  • Only Sane Man: Scratch was the first to notice Molly struggling to stay awake and keeping the staycation maintained.
  • Sanity Slippage: Molly is shown going crazy from overworking herself pandering to her family's needs while an increasingly sped-up version of the Sunnyland theme song plays.
  • Souvenir Land: Sunnyland is a fictional theme park that's basically a weather-themed version of Disneyland.
  • Trauma Button Ending: When the McGees and Libby ride on a cardboard box at the end of the episode, Pete starts to sing the "It's Always Sunny in Sunnyland" song, but Molly stops him from doing so due to the song still haunting her after being replayed so many times.
Molly: Please don't. (extreme close-up) I can still hear it in my sleep.
  • Unplanned Staycation: After Sunnyland is closed, Molly makes her own version of the theme park at the house.
