    Season 1 
  1. "Prototype": George Lopez, a worker at an aviation factory for 20 years, gets promoted to manager. Meanwhile, he deals with his daughter Carmen faking her period to get out of swim class and the fact that he may have to fire his alcoholic mother Benny.
  2. "Curious George": After Carmen brings a boy home for the first time, Benny convinces George to spy on the new relationship.
  3. "Happy Birthdays": George never had a birthday party, so Max doesn't want one either, which results in Angie deciding to throw George his first party.
  4. "Max's Big Adventure": George believes that Max is not ready to walk to school by himself, so he and his friends put on a fake "stranger danger" situation to prove it.

    Season 2 
  1. "Who's Your Daddy?": George meets his aunt at the store and discovers that his father, whom Benny told him had died long ago, is actually alive.
  2. "Token of Unappreciation": George gets tempted to work at a rival factory, while Carmen must choose between her old friend and the in-crowd.
  3. "The Show Dyslexic": George is in denial when Max is diagnosed with dyslexia and Angie suspects that he may have it as well. Meanwhile, Ernie moves out of his home and takes care of his girlfriends' kids.
  4. "Halloween Cheer": Carmen becomes depressed after her friend moves away, which results in Geirge, Angie and Benny catching her about to smoke. Meanwhile, George has to fire an employee with too much emotional baggage.
  5. "The Unnatural": George pushes Max to be great at baseball after the coach tells him to put Max on the bench for the next game, but Max's efforts to be better lead him to accidentally ruin George's baseball signed by Steve Garvey.
  6. "No Free Launch": The infamous "Accident" Amy becomes the new PTA secretary and is keeping track of candy sales to raise money for her daughter's class to go to Florida to see a space shuttle launch, and since Max is in the same class, George and Amy get competitive in the sales.
  7. "The Wedding Dance": Angie is determined to get George to dance with her at an upcoming wedding, but a few too many drinks blank out the memory.
  8. "Love Bites": George and Angie worry about Carmen's sex life when her breasts develop and comes home with a hickey on her neck.
  9. "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Honey": George finds an employee who Benny slept with 35 years ago and thinks he might be his father.
  10. "Charity": Angie begins to take up too many charity causes and drives everyone nuts.
  11. Meet the Cuban Parents: Angie's parents Vic and Emelina come down for Christmas, and Vic gets into a war with George to see who can throw the best holiday.
  12. "This Old Casa": George decides to fix up Benny's bathroom in hopes she'll finally be appreciative of him.
  13. "Super Bowl": When Benny's estranges brother Joe is in his final hours, she goes to the hospital to say goodbye — so she can get his Super Bowl tickets.
  14. "The Valentine's Day Massacre": Angie discovers that George's didn't really paint the high school mural that made her fall in love with him, which causes George to try and find a way to prove that he really loves her.
  15. "Girl Fight": Carmen's boyfriend spreads nasty rumors after she breaks up with him, promoting George and Angie to fight back. Meanwhile, George discovers the school counselor is his old bully from elementary school.
  16. "George vs George": When George and Angie try to take out a loan to get Carmen into a private school (following the events of "Girl Fight"), George discovers that his father Manny had another son that shares his name.
  17. "A Kiss is Just a Kiss": George invites Angie's father Vic and her sister Gloria over for her birthday, but Gloria, depressed about her upcoming divorce and jealous of Angie's happy marriage, tries to make a sexual advance on George — which Max witnesses.
  18. "Profiles in Courage": George's ethics are put to the test when he is told to demote an employee because of his background after the factory is offered a government contract.
  19. "Secrets and Lies": Benny fakes an injury at work to get a huge financial compensation.
  20. "Girls Night Out": Angie invites Carmen's friend Marisol to stay with the family when her ex-boyfriend harasses her, but regrets it when the two girls sneak out to confront him.
  21. "I Only Have Eyes for You": After Carmen's prank on Max lands him in the hospital, George questions his relationship with his daughter.
  22. "Team Leader": George helps Ernie with his work to keep him from getting fired, but he gets stuck doing both jobs when Ernie is elected team leader.
  23. "George Has Two Mommies": After Max and his friend Ricky accidentally set fire to the garage and George is unable to take out a loan, Benny decides to go to her ex-husband Manny's current wife for financial help.
  24. "Long Time No See": When Manny sends George $20,000 to pay off his debt, he decides to go to Phoenix and meet his long-lost father, with his family tagging along for the ride.

    Season 3 
  1. "Dubya, Dad and Dating (Part 1)": Everything becomes a mess when President George W. Bush comes to speak at the factory; Benny begins dating a new younger boyfriend, Carmen protests at the ceremony and George steals the speech, which results in the Secret Service paying him a visit,
  2. "Dubya, Dad and Dating (Part 2)" After George is thrown in jail (for punching out his father in "Long Time No See"), Manny bails him out to clear their air between them, so George invites him over for dinner — on the same night Benny brings her new boyfriend Randy over to meet George.
  3. "The Cuban Missus Crisis": Vic comes over to tell George that he and his wife are getting a divorce, which causes George to fear that his marriage may be in danger. Meanwhile, Carmen has a sleepover and Angie joins a girls night out.
  4. "Feel the Burn": Benny gets diagnosed with gonorrhea and George finds out that he has a long-long sister. Meanwhile, Angie tries to get her parents to reconcile.
  5. "Carmen's Dating": Carmen tells her parents that she wants to start dating and brings home a cool boy named Jason. The problem is that they don't want to be seen in public together.
  6. "Split Decision": George lets slip a secret that causes the Powers brothers to split up the company, and both want George to work for them.
  7. "No One Gets Out Alive": The factory comes under inspection when a plane made with their landing gear crashes.
  8. "Bringing Home the Bacon": With his job in jeopardy, George wants to cancel Carmen's expensive Quinceañera, but Angie's cosmetics business is picking up, so she controls the finances now.
  9. "Fishing Cubans": George and Vic travel to the coast of Florida to help Vic's brother Octavio escape from Cuba and surprise Angie on their anniversary. Meanwhile, Max teams with Benny to throw a fake birthday party to get free gifts.
  10. "Would You Like a Drumstick or a Kidney?": George invites Manny and his family to come over for Thanksgiving, but finds out that Manny's having kidney problems and that he's the only match for a transplant.
  11. "Mementos": While preparing to donate his kidney, George gets into deep trouble with Angie when he absent-mindedly throws away her old family mementos, but both their priorities shift when Benny delivers the bad news: Manny has died.
  12. "Christmas Punch": Max doubts his belief in Santa Claus when he hears his parents planning to buy him the gifts he asked for. George wants Max to continue believing, even when Max gets punched by a bully for doing so.
  13. "Why You Crying?": George and Angie are outraged when Benny slaps Max for disrespecting her. Afterward, they find that Max is covering up his failures at school.
  14. "The Trouble with Ricky": Angie wants to take Ricky in with the family despite George's wishes, but after Ricky and Max crash the car through the house, George takes him home to his mother, where he finds out about Ricky's living conditions.
  15. "God Needles George": The family adopts a sick dog named Mr. Needles who has a cancerous tumor. George considers putting him down, while Max prays for a miracle.
  16. "Benny and Randy": After George interferes with Benny and Randy's relationship and they break up, George tries to get them back together.
  17. "Weekend at Benny's": While Angie is away on business, George sends the kids to Benny's house for the weekend when they misbehave.
  18. "Jason Tutors Max": When Jason starts to tutor Max in algebra and ignores his relationship with Carmen, she delivers an ultimatum: tutor her brother or break up.
  19. "Angie Gets Tanked": After a revealing picture of Angie getting dunked in a water tank at a school carnival is posted online, George sets out to find the culprit — who turns out to be Jason's wheelchair-bound little brother.
  20. "The Art of Boxing": George and Vic enroll Max in a boxing class with Laila Ali (guest-starring as herself) behind Angie's back, but they have to come clean when Max comes home with a black eye.
  21. "George's House of Cards": The Lopez family is on the verge of collapse when Vic refuses to pay George the fifty dollars he won from him in a poker game.
  22. "Dance Fever": George wants to learn how to dance so he can make it up to Angie for not dancing with her at their wedding.
  23. "She Drives Me Crazy": George believes that Carmen's growing up too fast when she demands a drivers' license and wants to spend prom night in a motel with Jason.
  24. "George Goes to Disneyland": George refuses to go to Disneyland with Max because it reminds him of his deprived childhood, but guilt sets in and he sneaks along for the fun.
  25. "Bachelor Party": When Benny and Randy prepare to get married, a blinded Accident Amy returns from the hospital to take him back.
  26. "Wrecking Ball": The morning after Benny finds out that her co-workers made a pool on whether her relationship with Randy will last, the factory is vandalized and she is the prime suspect.
  27. "What George Doesn't Noah...": George and Angie suspect that Carmen's new boyfriend Noah is cheating on her, but they soon discover that Noah is gay and that Carmen's been using him as a cover to see Mel Powers' delinquent son Zack behind her parents' backs.
  28. "Now George Noahs Ex-Zack-ly what Happened": George and Angie forbid Carmen from seeing Zack, and after George privately confronts Zakc about his intentions with Carmen, the girl runs away.

    Season 4 
  1. "George Searches for a Needle in a Haight-stack": George and Vic travel to the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco to search for Carmen and find that she's now a groupie for rapper Chingy (guest-starring as himself).
  2. "Landlord Almighty": After George decides to make Carmen pay rent so she can feel what it's like to be a grown-up, she gets a roommate to live with her, but she ends up having to do twice as much work.
  3. "George of the Rings": When George forgets his wedding anniversary and fails at getting Angie a nice ring, he proposes to Angie to renew their wedding vows.
  4. "Home Sweet Homeschool": After Carmen is denied entry into her private school for the next semester, Angie decides to home-school her.
  5. "Leave It to Lopez": George feels guilty about not getting life insurance and becomes worries about his mortality, so he dozes off and dreams himself and his family as various classic TV families.
  6. "Sk8erboyz": Max makes friends with a gang of skateboarders and gets into trouble with the law.
  7. "The Simple Life": George gets a job opportunity in a small Colorado town, and he and Angie consider moving there to give their kids a better life.
  8. "Trouble in Paradise": Carmen and Max get into trouble while in Colorado.
  9. "E.I.? E.I. OH": Powers Aviation merges with another company and George must share his space with a new female upstart.
  10. "A Clear and Presentless Danger": George accuses his mother of being a Scrooge at Christmas, but soon, he's the one who has to eat humble holiday pie.
  11. "Prescription for Trouble": When Carmen wishes to start using birth control, George and Angie consider compromising with her to keep her relationship with Jason down to Earth.
  12. "Friends Don't Let Friends Marry Drunks": George puts his friendship with Ernie on the line when he tries to stop him from marrying a troubled woman.
  13. "George to the Third Power": George gets into a fight with Max's dentist (Michael Clarke Duncan) about the company's dental plan.
  14. "George Gets Assisterance": To get Max additional help in school, George tells the school superintendent that he is her long-lost sister.
  15. "Sabes Quake": After an earthquake hits the area, George relives repressed childhood memories and sets up camp with Carmen in the backyard.
  16. "George Takes a Stroll Down Memory Pain": When Benny demands that George give her money for a box of old childhood memories, he learns that she helped him and Angie start up a new life and kept hidden lots of money that could have been useful.
  17. "George Buys a Vow": George hatches a plan to give Angie her dream wedding.
  18. "George Watcha's Out for Jason": George allows Jason to move in with the family so he can finish the baseball season when his parents move away.
  19. "George's Grand Slam": When George starts to like Jason more than Carmen, a feminist writer (Hilary Duff) challenges him to see his daughter's potential in poetry.
  20. "George Needs Anchor Management": George fears that Angie is having an affair when she begins seeing an old boyfriend who's now a news anchor.
  21. "George's Relatively Bad Idea": George allows Vic to date his sister, but he soon learns that she isn't the only Lopez he kissed.
  22. "George's Extreme Makeover: Holmes Edition": George turns the newly-fixed garage into workspace for Angie, but runs into trouble when the garage is inspected.
  23. "George Stare-oids Down Jason": When George and Angie find out that Jason is getting intimate with Carmen, they consider asking him to leave.
  24. "George Negoti-ate It": George acts as Jason's sports agent when the NFL wants to draft him.

    Season 5 
  1. "George Gets a Pain in the Ash": When Benny's house burns down along with her life savings, George reluctantly takes her in. Meanwhile, after her supposed pregnancy was a lie, Carmen is determined to marry Jason and have a baby with him, which causes him to run off, never to return.
  2. "You Dropped a Mom on Me": George gets Benny an advance on her paycheck so she can look for apartments, but she gambles it all away and moves into her car...which burns down as well.
  3. "George's Dog Days of Bummer": George impersonates the Mayor of Los Angeles to bully a biker into releasing a dog Benny's grown to love, but soon finds himself in hot water when the real Mayor (Antonio Villaraigosa as himself) visits the house.
  4. "George Drives the Batmobile": In spite of Benny's pleas to buys her a new car, George and Angie drive her around town to get her out of the house.
  5. "Trick or Treat Me Right": George gets fed up with his mother's abusive behavior and decides that as long as Benny lives in his house, he won't be.
  6. "George Takes a Sentimental Ernie": George moves in with Ernie at his parents' house and convinces him to get his own place.
  7. "George Finds Therapy Benny-ficial": When Max goes to the school psychologist after witnessing a shooting, it is discovered that Max's trauma is actually from George moving out of the house. George then realizes that he needs to reconcile with his mother for Max's sake.
  8. "George Tries to Write a Wrong": George takes a peek at an 10-year-old unopened letter from Angie that both of them end up wishing was never opened.
  9. "George Discovers Benny's Sili-Con Job": After George pokes fun at Benny's age, she decides to take drastic measures and get breast implants.
  10. "George Says I Do...More in This Marriage": George and Angie get into a fight over who does more in their marriage and challenge ash other for dominance.
  11. "George is Being Elfish and Christ-misses His Family": George tells a white lie to Angie so he wouldn't have to spend Christmas with her family, but he regrets it when he finds himself spending the holidays alone.
  12. "George Enrolls Like That": George decides to enroll into college to set an example for Max after he catches the boy playing hooky.
  13. "George Keeps Truant to Himself": George drops out of college, but has trouble keeping it from his family when his professor arrives to check up on him.
  14. "The Kidney Stays in the Picture": Max develops a bed-wetting problem, but it's soon found out that Max has kidney disease and is in need of surgery.
  15. "A Funeral Brings George to His Niece": Angie's sister-in-law dies and she leaves George in charge of her spoiled daughter Veronica and her large inheritance.
  16. "George Gets Caught in a Powers Play": George decides to teach Veronica the value of hard work by getting her a job at the factory, where Mel becomes smitten with her.
  17. "George Doesn't Trustee Angie's Brother": Angie's brother Ray returns to ask Veronica to invest in a new company, but George suspects that he's after her multi-million dollar inheritance.
  18. "George Helps Ernie See the Cellu-Light": George is told to fire Ernie after his weight causes problems at the factory, so he helps Ernie shed some pounds so he can keep his job.
  19. "George Gets Cross Over Freddie": In the first part of a crossover with fellow ABC series Freddie, George poses as Max online when he starts chatting with a girl in Chicago thinking she's a predator, unaware that Freddie is doing the same thing with his daughter Zoey.
  20. "George Vows to Make Some Matri-Money": George takes over planning the wedding of one of Angie's clients, but she ends up driving him crazy with all her details.
  21. "George Discovers How Mescal-ed Up His Life Would Have Been Without the Benny-Fits": George rigs a productivity contest that Benny won as revenge for all the times she screwed him over. When Angie defends Benny, a stubborn George goes drinking with Ernie and has a hallucination that they switch lives.
  22. "It's a Cliffhanger, By George": Ernie tells George that the company is moving to Mexico, while the police question Benny about an old robbery.

    Season 6 
  1. "George's Mom Faces Hard Tambien": Lots of things are going on: Carmen has left for college, Angie believes that she's pregnant, Max has a hangover, Vic considers betting engaged to a 27-year-old and Benny faces jail for a 30-year-old crime.
  2. "George's House Has Two Empty Wombs": Angie tries to keep her false alarm pregnancy a secret to ease George's pain of losing Carmen, and Vic introduces the family to his new fiancee.
  3. "George Nieces a New Media Room": Veronica moves in after her trust fund is frozen and brings her college professor boyfriend with her, but she regrets it when he becomes too hot to handle.
  4. "George Testi-Lies for Benny": After her mother (Rita Moreno) and lawyer (Adam West) turn on her, George becomes Benny's last hope for freedom.
  5. "Sabes Gay, It's George's Fantasy Episode": After getting humiliated at work, George drinks tequila with the worm (again) and hallucinates that he and Ernie are a gay couple.
  6. "George Thinks Vic's Fiancee is Lion About Being a Cheetah": George believes that Vic's finance is a gold-digger and gets a reality TV show to expose her infidelity,
  7. "George Helps Angie's Wha-Positive Self Image by Saying, 'You 'sta Loca Good'": George keeps putting his foot in his mouth when Angie becomes self-conscious about her looks.
  8. "George's Grave Mistake Sends Him to a Funeral, Holmes": When Angie's mother dies, George realizes that he forgot to buy burial plots for the two of them and can't fulfill her wishes.
  9. "George Joins the Neighborhood Wha-tcha and Raises the Vigil-ante": George and Angie are up in arms when a sexual predator moves into the neighborhood and find they have to give Max "The Talk".
  10. "George is Maid to Be Ruth-less": George and Angie hire a maid (Barbara Eden) and George finds she is a better caretaker to him than Benny ever was.
  11. "George is Lie-able for Benny's Unhappiness": George tries to keep an old flame of Benny's (Jerry Springer) away from his her.
  12. "George Uses His Vato Power to Save Dinero Que La": George and Angie get into a fierce competition over who can spend the least money for living.
  13. "George Rocks to the Max and Gets Diss-Band-ed": George buys Max an electric guitar, but is left out in the cold when Max joins a band,
  14. "George Gets Smoking Mad at Benny and Develops an Órale Fixation": Benny goes crazy when her the company's new health plan requires her to stop smoking.
  15. "George Can't Let Sleeping Mexicans Lie": George becomes enraged when a neighbor puts an offensive display, a sleeping Mexican figure, on his lawn.
  16. "George's Bogey-ous Relationship with Vic Is Putt to the Test": George is happy to spend Father's Day with Vic, but is crushed when he finds that Vic is having pose as his son to challenge his rival at a father-son golf game.
  17. George Thinks Max's Future is On the Line: After Max breaks the computer, George puts him to work at the factory for a week, but he likes it so much, he wants to skip college and work there forever.
  18. "George Decides to Sta-Local Where It's Familia": In the series finale, the company gets bought out and the new owner gives George a lucrative offer.
