Holden tries to convince Fred Johnson to destroy the last sample of protomolecule. Naomi gets an important lead to her son. On Luna, Avasarala begins to hunt for Marco Inaros.

- Have You Told Anyone Else?: After the U.N.S Hasami is boarded by the OPA, they beg not to be killed as they are only unarmed scientists. The leader of the party, Filip, hurriedly asks the scientists what they know about the asteroid they witnessed and if they have informed anyone else. After the scientists have informed Filip that they hadn't told anyone and show him the location of their data core, they are killed by the OPA to hide the existence of the stealth asteroids.
- Infodump: A relatively minor one when Avasarala tells Amos that she's been appointed to Luna to help accelerate emigration to the Earth's new colonies.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: The four main crew members of the Rocinante all split up to address personal business:
- Alex is on Mars to try to reunite with his family.
- Amos is heading towards Baltimore to take care of the affairs of a recently deceased friend.
- By the end of the episode, Naomi leaves to look for Filip.
- Holden sticks around on the Rocinante to supervise repairs.
- Off the Record: Discussed. Monica tells Holden that he is off the record when attempting to gain information on the protomolecule. He doesn't bite, and she is shown to be lying when it's revealed she has a camera implanted in her eye.
- Rejected Apology: Alex tries to apologize to his ex-wife Talissa for leaving her and their child, but he's rebuffed.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Talissa gives a subdued but still biting one to Alex for leaving her and their son:Talissa: I say we're fine, and you're off the hook. You don't have to feel guilty about abandoning us because we're fine. Or I say we're all broken up about it, and you get to feel loved and missed. So which one are you looking for? Here's the answer. You don't get to know. You're not a part of our lives anymore. We don't owe you any closure.
