Recap / The Angry Beavers E 1 Beaver Fever

Go To

In this episode, Norb and Dag perform a disco song called "Beaver Fever", and become famous disco stars.

Tropes used:

  • Bigger Than Jesus: Parodied, when Dag's statement that they are bigger than sliced bread causes a moral outrage.
  • Creator Cameo: Not only does series creator Mitch Schauer voice Ted Browman and Norb's Lawyer, a caricature of Mitch is seen playing the keyboard in the recording booth
  • Disco Dan: The outfits Norb and Dag wear.
  • Exact Words:
    • Dag just barely manages to stop the outrage caused by his comment by saying he meant they were physically bigger than a slice of bread.
    • Norb and Dag decide to give their audience more "Beaver Fever" by simply adding the word "more" to the lyrics of the song and presenting it as a new version. It bombs.
  • Here We Go Again!: After Norb and Dag's fame comes to an end...it's Barry's turn.
  • Shout-Out: There are many references to The Beatles in this episode, particularly when Norb and Dag get famous and start acting like them, especially when Dag stirs up controversy claiming they're bigger than sliced bread.
