After Gabriel leaves (Elizabeth and Philip discuss Gabriel's comment to Philip that Paige shouldn't have been recruited in the first place), Claudia is back as their handler. She tells Elizabeth and Philip to continue with Strobert and Deirdre for a little while longer, though Elizabeth decides not to go see Strobert for the time being, and when Philip calls Deirdre, she breaks up with him for not being assertive enough. The two also continue the operation involving Evgheniya, who tells Elizabeth things have been easier at home since she started working as a translator for the CIA. However, while following her, Elizabeth discovers Evgheniya is having an affair with another man, whom Claudia reveals is the man likely to become the CIA station chief in Moscow, which makes their wish to get Evgheniya and her family back in the Soviet Union more urgent. Along those lines, Tuan tells Elizabeth and Philip he has a plan to have bullies at school target Pascha to make him so miserable Evgheniya would have no choice but to take them all back.
Stan and Aderholt meet with Sofia again, who promises to work for them if they can arrange to get her teeth fixed, which they agree to. They also teach her how to arrange meetings with them to avoid suspicion, and they try to get a safe house where the three of them can meet. Back in Moscow, Oleg is investigated by Directorate K, who search his room at his father's house. Oleg tells Colonel Victorovich about it.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth continues to teach Paige self-defense, and we see Henry's new friend Chris (Mavis Simpson-Ernst).
