Its Lord Crispintine's day in San Lorenzo and love is in the air. And so are trouble making imps from the Netherworld.
Tropes:
- Berserk Button: Puss stops being civil to the imps when they call him "old man."
- Call-Back: When Puss kicks the imps back through the portal to the Netherworld, Dulcinea reminds him that Artepius said the portal was only supposed to work one way, and that the effects of going the wrong way are unknown.
- Cooking Duel: Toby challenges the lead imp to a "knit-off".
- Love Triangle: The Toby-Vina-Cleevil triangle comes into play here.
- Mood Whiplash: Nothing about the story of Lord Crispintine really seems to have anything at all to do with a holiday dedicated to romance.
- Ship Tease: Puss wants Dulcinea to be his Crispintine, but he gets too nervous whenever he tries, which turns out to be what Dulcinea has been trying to do as well.
- Valentine's Day Episode
- Watching the Sunset: At the end of Crispintine's Day, Puss and Dulcinea finally exchange Crispintine roses and then watch the sunset together.
- Wham Episode: After most of the season dealing with just random threats from the Netherworld portal, a Big Bad comes into play: The Blind King, ruler of the Netherworld.
- What Have I Done: Toby when he realizes he unwittingly agreed to help the imps destroy San Lorenzo.
- You Mean "Xmas": Lord Crispintine's Day is the show's version of Saint Valentine's Day.
