After his failure to free Uli by himself, Puss reluctantly agrees to seek assistance, and he turns to his old mentor El Guante Blanco but he is busy training a new mentor, the Ugly Duckling.
Tropes:
- Art Evolution: When last seen, El Guante Blanco's eponymous "White Glove" was a light bit of white at the tip of his right paw. Now his entire right paw is white, covering it like an actual glove.
- Berserk Button: You can call her The Ugly Duckling, or just Duckling, but don't call her ugly.
- The Bus Came Back: Toby's brothers are the opponents for the Duckling's fight.
- Chekhov's Boomerang: Dulcinea uses the Silver Dowsing Rod of Akhenaten to help track down El Guante Blanco.
- Hard Truth Aesop: As summarized by a bandit, "Let this be a lesson to you all. Fighting solves everything!"
- Immediate Sequel: The episode opens up immediately after the end of Sullen Earth to the point that when Puss decides to try to assault the Kingdom again, Pajuna points out he just tried that a few minutes prior.
- Insistent Terminology: Puss will not ask for help. Dulcinea suggests other words that simply mean the same thing; Puss eventually settles on "advice".
- Killer Rabbit: The Duckling is extremely powerful for how it looks, which catches Puss off guard.
- Toilet Humor: Duckling humiliates Puss by pooping in his boots. Later she confesses that it was really just mud. Mostly.
