Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 084

Go To

Hahari presents the girls with a fresh batch of onesies, with Kusuri presenting fresh batches of her baby transformation drug. Everyone quickly catches onto this being a rerun of Chapter 28, with Kishika accidentally unleashing the drug on herself and all the girls who weren't affected the first time around. After getting all the babified girls into onesies, Rentarou and the remaining girls take up the task of looking after them while they wait for the safe time to administer the antidote.

Hakari and Yamame get along well, while Momiji starts groping Yaku's backside. Iku has Mei smack her backside, while Meme marvels at Mimimi, who in turn marvels at Hahari's necklace and then Nano. Chiyo gets upsets at Iku getting smacked around, which prompts Iku to sit on her face. Kishika intervenes to break up the fight, and Kusuri's rewarding headpats causes her to melt. The only one not doing anything is Naddy, whom Rentarou encourages to ride on his back like a horse while chasing Iku to the roof edge. Shizuka struggles to stop Yamame from climbing a nearby ladder, forcing Nano to intervene. Kusuri tries to teach Yaku how to use a smartphone, but the latter uses it as a menko card. Shizuka gives Meme a teddy baby, causing the latter to disappear into the former's hair. Hakari and Karane end up kissing, and Kurumi almost tries to eat Momiji.

The fun times don't last long, however, as Chiyo catches sight of her glasses and starts crying for her mom. Kusuri's attempt to calm her only cause the other babies to cry for their mom as well. Mei stops crying when ordered, but none of the other babies can be comforted. Frustrated at his powerlessness in this situation, Rentarou breaks down in tears, prompting the baby girls to comfort him. The chapter ends with a footnote stating that everyone safely returned to normal an hour later.

Tropes:

  • Baby Morph Episode: The second one in the series.
  • Contrived Coincidence: The damage Kishika does to the test tube containing Kusuri's babyfier drug turns Kishika and everyone else who was standing nearby into babies, and it just so happens that Hakari and all the girlfriends from Mei onwards were standing near her.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Kurumi has to remind herself that babies aren't food.
  • Mass Transformation: The baby transformation drug ends up affecting Hakari and all the girls who joined the harem after the previous Baby Morph Episode; 11 girls in total.
  • Rule of Three: The phrase "this lifeform would perish" appears three times; twice thought by Nano if nobody protected it, and then the ending tag if nobody comforted it.
  • Self-Deprecation: The girlfriends wonder why they're doing a Baby Morph Episode again, with Nano suggesting the manuscript was late and Hakari commenting that a weekly series with 18 main characters was always going to be too much for the author.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: When Chiyo loses her glasses and starts crying for her mother, adult Kusuri puts the glasses on so she can pretend to be Chiyo's mother. However, the prescription doesn't match, so she ends up falling over.
