Prisoners of the Triceratons, the Turtles must escape before they're shipped off to 'The Games'.

This episode provides examples of

  • All Atmospheres Are Equal: Despite being played straight on D'Hoonib, it's actually averted on the Triceratons' ships and homeworld, where they breathe a hearty mixture of nitrogen and sulfur. The Turtles start to suffocate before they're given atmospheric converters.
  • Animation Bump: This episode has noticeably more fluid animation than others.
  • Broomstick Quarterstaff: Don's improvised weapon.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The floor wax that Mike accidentally ate and threw up after realizing what it actually was is used again to make it look like he is genuinely sick.
  • Conveniently Cellmates: The four turtles get a cell together when they get captured by the Triceratons. When Raphael get in a fight in the cafeteria, he is however moved to another cell alone, so the others have to free him when they escape.
  • Great Escape
  • Handy Feet: Don refuses to grab the key card that Mike had hidden inside his mouth and coughed up, using his foot to pick it up and operating instead.
Don: I'm not touching that key card. At least not any more than I have to.
  • I Ate WHAT?!: A starving Mike gets something from a nearby dispensing machine and stuffs his mouth, only to find out it was the floor wax dispenser.
Sleeg: (points farther down the line) Uh, those are the desserts over there. (Points at the machine Mike just used) That's the floor-wax dispenser.
Mike: Floor wax?! (Leans into a cart and throwing up the floor wax)
Don: Not off to a good start, are we?
Sleeg: It will get worse when they realize your friend just hurled in the salad bar.
  • Improvised Weapon: The Turtles used a set of cleaning supplies as weapons.
  • Person of Holding: After Leo and Don make Mike pretend to be sick and throw up on the Triceraton guard, both Leo and Don realize that neither of them actually swiped his key card. Mike then coughs up the key card he managed to swipe and hide in his mouth.
    Mike: Raph better appreciate this.
  • Playing Sick: The Turtles pretend Mikey is sick to attract the attention of the wardens and steal their key card. They get him to really throw up to be convincing.
  • Prison Episode
  • Shout-Out: Raphael's battle cry is "Spooooooons!"
  • Verbal Backspace: Played for laughs. The Triceraton Prime Leader, Zanramon, is trying to appear friendly and peaceful to convince the Fugitoid to build his device, but Honeycutt humbly refuses. Zanramon bellows “YOU WILL BE CRUSHED INTO SUBMISSION!” before hastily taking a breath and trying to assure Honeycutt his intentions are peaceful.
