"The Big Haggle Hassle": Rodney spends Andy's money and must get a job to get back a ceramic angry clown figure for Mr. Johnson's collection.

"Rolling Blunder": Rodney and Mr. Johnson teach Andy melon-cart racing, but the two soon forget about practicing, and become obsessed with winning a race.

"The Big Haggle Hassle" contains examples of:

  • Adults Are Useless: The security guard fails to take action against Rodney stealing the clown statue.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Just as Andy is about to go find Rodney, he gets distracted by a stand of Clash of the Planetoids VHS tapes, and wastes his time by recapping the premise of each episode.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Mr. J's reaction to a record having a giant scratch in it sounds at first like he's dissatisfied, but he's not.
Mr. J: This record has a giant scratch... I'll take it!
  • Big Eater: Rodney eats a whole plate of beef jerky samples.
  • Big "NO!": Andy and Rodney's reaction to the clown statue about to fall to the ground. Let out in a slow, low-pitched variety.
  • Bittersweet Ending: After the "Angey" clown statue was shattered much to Mr. J's sadness, and after Andy reveals to him that he wanted to buy the clown statue for his collection, it may have been a happy ending. That is, not before the angry flea market merchants looked at either of them and Rodney to blame for all the damage the latter had caused. Things get much worse when they were forced to repair the clown statue and pay for $1,000,000 in damages by helping out with the flea market, and Rodney accidentally knocks over and breaks Mr. J's entire clown collection and causing him to run out of the flea market in fright, due to hallucinating Mr. J as the "Angey" clown statue.
Rodney: (to Mr. J, after he was proud of Andy) Could you ask for a happier ending?
  • Blame Game: The flea market merchants at the end were angry at Rodney, Andy, and Mr. J for the former causing mayhem and destruction to several of their stores, looking for someone to blame whose responsibility for it was.
Boss: Somebody has got to pay for that clown!
Merchant 1: (joining in) Along with my shoe stand he destroyed!
Merchant 2: (joining in too) And my dress shop!
Merchant 3: (joins in as well) And my big floppy hat and OUTRAGEOUSLY large sunglasses emporium!
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Andy believes that he must have clean hands before making a purchase, referring to it as an "ancient" ritual he had "just" found.
  • Companion Cube: Mr. J and his relationship with his clown statues, all bearing different expressions.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The security guard makes a snarky remark to his boss when told to stop Rodney.
Security guard: Well that's what you get for not hiring me when I applied.
  • Do You Want to Haggle?:
    • Parodied. Instead of haggling for less, Rodney haggles for more. This is exemplified at the beginning, where he pays a guy five dollars to gain admission to the flea market instead of two that are required.
    • Happens again near the end when Rodney prepares to haggle with the flea market merchants in order to fix the 'mess' he made when trying to give the clown statue to Andy earlier, only to make things worse for him, Andy, and Mr. J in the process.
  • Failure Is the Only Option: While left in a conflict of either having to sell Mr. J the clown statue or face the consequences, Rodney runs off with it to protect it from being sold to anyone but Andy (who wants to buy it for his dad).
Boss: What are you doing?! You sell that man that clown this instant!
Rodney: No, he's a gentleman. I'm sure this can be resolved! (beat) Bye! (runs off)
  • Flat Character: Rodney, using a gas mask, roleplays as an OC named "Bugatron", who lacks a developed character.
  • Geek: Andy exhibits his obsession with The Clash of the Planetoids by recapping the premise of each episode.
  • Hallucinations: Happens at the end when Rodney saw the angry Mr. J with the "Angey" clown statue as his head, causing Rodney to freak out (also mimicking the "Panicky" clown statue), running out of the flea market in fear.
  • Here We Go Again!: Just as the "Angey" clown statue is repaired, Rodney accidentally knocks Mr. J's entire case of clown statues off the table, creating an even bigger conflict.
  • Idiot Ball: Andy lets Rodney of all people hold on to his dollar while he goes off to the bathroom, and the plot goes downhill from that point on.
  • Lame Pun Reaction:
    • When Andy attempts to be funny by claiming he's got a "hat made out of bird", the joke falls flat based on how he doesn't think twice about putting the hat on. Rodney even lampshades it.
Andy: Look at me! I've got a head made out of bird!
Rodney: Eh, it's funnier if you actually put it on.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Rodney is forced to repair the "Angey" clown statue before he, Andy, and Mr. J can go home, along with an owing of $1,000,000.00 for accidentally destroying many shops in the flea market.
  • Lost in Transmission:
    • Happens twice near the end of the episode. The first time is when Rodney was about to make a suggestion to Andy before the clown statue breaks.
Rodney: (after the slo-mo Big "NO!" moment, to Andy) Hey look, maybe we should- (the clown statue falls to the ground, shattered)
    • The second time happens when Rodney was suggesting to Mr. J before the angry merchants catch up with them.
Rodney: Now, why don't we- (the boss of the shop Rodney worked in caught up with him, Andy and Mr. J)
  • Nap-Inducing Speak: Mr. J explaining the concept of records to Rodney and Andy causes the two to snore out of boredom.
  • Neat Freak: Andy must have clean hands before making a purchase at the flea market.
  • Overly Long Gag: "And this is the one where X, and this is the one where Y. And this is the one where..."
  • Running Gag: Rodney haggling.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Rodney is intimidated by Mr. J's immense level of anger—even hallucinating him as the "Angey" clown statue—so he shortly mimics the "Panicky" clown statue, before he runs out of the flea market out of fear overtaking him.
  • The Klutz: Rodney, when he accidentally knocks over all of Mr. J's entire clown statue collection in the end.
