Spot Returns

When Plankton's pet amoeba gives birth to amoeba puppies, Plankton trains them to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula with a clueless SpongeBob's help.
"Spot Returns" contains examples of:
- Banana Peel: Comic Relief Puppy slips on one.
- The Bus Came Back: Spot reappears in this episode after being absent from season 10. "Spot Returns" seems to indicate Spot's permanent return, as he has reappeared infrequently since.
- Cuteness Proximity: Karen is so happy to see Spot's new puppies that she experiences an overload and spends most of the episode undergoing a system reboot. Once she's back online, she's quite pleased to see even more amoeba puppies.
- Here We Go Again!: At the end, the puppies end up giving birth to more amoeba puppies.
- Pain to the Ass: When Plankton shows an amoeba puppy to a customer coming out of the Barg'N'Mart, the customer says it looks more like a speck of dirt. Plankton then blasts him in the butt with a laser gun.
- Pie in the Face: Comic Relief Puppy throws a pie in his face.
- Sequel Episode: To "Plankton's Pet".
- Shout-Out: Karen's rebooting sound effect sounds like one of the old Macintosh sound effects.
- Surprise Litter of Puppies: Spot gives birth to millions of amoeba puppies after Plankton and Karen find out through X-Ray that Spot is pregnant.
- Unfolding Plan Montage: Parodied. Plankton explains his plan over clips of the puppies doing it. SpongeBob doubts that it'll work, until Plankton tells him it's what they were doing the whole time he was explaining it.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: The people who originally adopted the amoeba puppies are never seen again. We don't even find out Mrs. Puff's reaction to returning home and finding her living room destroyed.
- Your Tomcat Is Pregnant: Plankton is surprised to discover that Spot is pregnant since he assumed Spot was a boy, until Karen reveals that amoebas can produce asexually.
The Check-Up

Mr. Krabs needs to get his physical or else the Krusty Krab will be shut down, but he's too afraid to take it.
"The Check-Up" contains examples of:
- Afraid of Doctors: Mr. Krabs, which keeps him from wanting to get a physical.
- Butt-Monkey: Mr. Krabs suffers a lot during his weekend "physical", which literally breaks him, including losing his teeth, his shell, well, the interity of his body.
- Cartoon Throbbing: Mr. Krabs is tricked into pinching his other claw, which cracks and reveals his skin throbbing underneath.
- Department of Redundancy Department: The tailor shop Mr. Krabs goes into is called "Tailor Tom's Tailor Shop".
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Squidward being told to give an ink sample is treated the same as giving a urine sample.
- The Inspector Is Coming: Squidward and SpongeBob have to give Mr. Krabs a physical before the nurse returns to the Krusty Krab.
- Oh, Crap!: After SpongeBob realizes he set the X-ray machine to take 25,000 pictures of Mr. Krabs.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Mr. Krabs does this rather than take a physical and again to get out of paying Larry. After he molted.
- Shadow Discretion Shot: Done at the beginning while SpongeBob is getting a physical done behind a curtain, freaking out Mr. Krabs. Not helped by SpongeBob's screams of excitement.
- Shout-Out: SpongeBob telling Squidward that he's going to make Mr. Krabs an "offer he can't resist" is a reference to The Godfather.
- Sickly Green Glow: Happens to Mr. Krabs after the X-ray machine overloads.
- Totem Pole Trench: SpongeBob and Squidward do this while disguised as a tailor.
