When Rembrandt receives a psychic message from the long-lost Wade, the Sliders follow her trail to a Kromagg compound, where they find the Kromaggs are using human brains as part of a plan to launch an attack on Kromagg Prime.

Tropes present in the episode:

  • Back for the Dead: Wade returns in this episode, only to end up sacrificing her life to save the others and stop the Kromaggs.
  • Big "NO!": Wade, after she sees what the Kromaggs did to her.
  • Body Horror: Wade was basically turned into a head in a jar.
  • Cerebus Retcon: Rembrandt said in "Genesis" that he tried to fight off Kromaggs taking Wade away and got clobbered. He reveals that was a lie and that he didn't try to help her—something he's felt guilty about ever since.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Maggie is completely broken when she thinks she's lost Rembrandt.
"Everyone's gone now... the Professor, Wade, Quinn, Colin, Remmy. Here. [offers Mallory and Diana the timer] You guys go on without me. I'm through. I've come to the end."
  • Flashback: To "Dragonslide"—particularly the scene about Rembrandt talking about his friendship with Wade.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Wade sacrifices herself to save the Sliders and thwart the Kromaggs' plan.
  • Human Resources: The Kromaggs use human brains as computers for their ships.
  • My Greatest Failure: Rembrandt reveals he ignored Wade's pleas for help while in Kromagg prison, thinking it was just a trick. He realized too late he was wrong and carried the guilt around ever since.
  • Not Quite Dead: According to this episode, the group had come to accept that Wade was already dead.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The writers were unsure if they could get Sabrina Lloyd to appear, due to both her leaving the show on bad terms and money matters. They deliberately crafted plots that could keep Wade off-screen as much as possible if need be.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Not counting Kyra (who was only half-Kromagg), Kesh is the first female Kromagg to appear on the show.
  • Take Over the World: The Kromaggs' grand plan is to use Human Resources to bypass the Slidecage and conquer Kromagg Prime.
