Episode 3:
Tokyo Trembles! The New Moscow Combat Revue!
It turns out the Moscow Combat Revue has survived the crash in Petrograd. With Valery Kaminski as its new leader, he decides to have Leyla retrieve Klara. However, Sakura and the others aren't ready to hand her over just yet...
This episode provides examples of:
- Call-Back: When the heroines are dispatched to thwart yet another demon invasion, the dust chute sequence plays out in the exact same manner as the 2019 Sakura Wars game. Makes sense since Sanzigen was involved in both the game and the anime.
- The Cavalry: With the Imperial Combat Revue unable to stop the demon on the Kachidoki Bridge, the Moscow Combat Revue shows up with a massive squadron of spiricle strikers to kill it in their place.
- Heroic BSoD: Hatsuho falls into one after the battle on the Kachidoki Bridge results in her Mugen getting critically damaged.
- Hope Spot: Hatsuho uses her Ceremonial Hammer attack on the demon to knock it out. Unfortunately, her victory is short lived as the demon gets back up and knocks her hammer into Tokyo Bay.
- Laughing Mad: At the end of the episode, Kaminski breaks out into insane laughter.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Hatsuho charges recklessly at the demon against Sakura's orders. Predictably, this ends up getting her Mugen trashed.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: During their brief battle in the theater, Leyla's eyes glow red as she tries to overpower Hatsuho.
- Skyward Scream: Hatsuho screams "Damn it all!" as her Mugen gets taken in for repairs in the aftermath of the battle on the Kachidoki Bridge.
- Something about a Rose: When Kaminski first introduces himself to the Imperial Combat Revue, he holds out a single rose as a greeting. Later, he gives Sumire a bouquet of roses as a sign of appreciation.
- Wham Line: When Kaminski drops by to visit the Imperial Combat Revue after the battle on the Kachidoki Bridge, he gives an ominous warning:Kaminski: The demons will return. As long as Klara is here in Tokyo.
