Identity Unknown! A Mysterious Foe Appears
While Sakura gives Klara a tour of the Grand Imperial Theater and introduces her to the Flower Division, a mysterious warrior named the Black Cape strikes Tokyo and kidnaps Klara. The division has to stop the Black Cape, gaining an unexpected ally in the process...
This episode provides examples of:
- Big "WHAT?!": Hatsuho yells "What?!" when she discovers the White Cape's latest whereabouts.
- Call-Back:
- In the 2019 Sakura Wars, Sakura gives Kamiyama a tour of the theater and introduces him to the Flower Division and its fellow staff members. In this episode, she does the exact same thing with Klara.
- When Klara and Sakura enter the bath, they discover a naked Reiji and Sakura whacks him in the head just like she did with Kamiyama if he ever saw the Flower Division member taking a bath there.
- Musical Nod:
- The romance music from the 2019 Sakura Wars is heard once again when Kamiyama tries to romance Sakura in her dream, only for him to disappear.
- Anastasia performs the song she sang with Sakura in the first episode on the piano just before Sakura introduces Klara to Anastasia.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: Hakushu specifically leaves out the fact that she might be the White Cape when asked about the latter's whereabouts.
- This Is Unforgivable!: Claris says "Unforgivable!" to the Black Cape for trying to kidnap Klara.
- Unwanted Assistance: When Anastasia uses her pistol to thwart the Black Cape's attack, Hatsuho immediately tells her not to interfere. Anastasia, on the other hand, is unfazed.
