Chibi-usa: What did you call the Sailor Guardians a bunch of pipsqueaks?!
Usagi: How dare you call my friends pipsqueaks you-you-pipsqueak!
Chibi-usa: What?! Now you're saying we're nothing without Pegasus to help us?
Usagi: Woah! That's really crossing the line! You're so gonna pay for that! In the Name of the Moon
Both: We'll punish you!

(CWi Episode: "Kicking into High Gear")

It looks like Pegasus has gone rogue and begins attacking random civilians which tarnishes his reputation with the Sailor Guardians. But after Moon and Chibi Moon find themselves trapped in a barrier made by Fish Eye, the Inner Guardians will have no choice but to look the gift horse in the mouth and accept his help.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Barrier Warrior: Mawashitaro's special ability allows him to create a dark force field that can keep Pegasus from interfering while also making Sailor Moon unable to use her Finishing Move.
  • Change the Uncomfortable Subject: After realizing that she said too much about her potential crush to the Inners, Chibi-Usa tries to distract everyone by stealing some of Usagi's food.
  • Dude Magnet: Chibi-Usa's school girl friends applaud her for getting Robert's attention and theorize that Kyuusuke is also interested in her.
  • Epic Fail:
    • Moon and Chibi Moon use a special Sailor Kick on Fish Eye only for him to move to the side without injury.
    • Then he prepares himself to attack using his magic knives. Thankfully he sucks at knife throwing.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite their reputations as shameless predators, Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye are genuinely creeped out that Fish Eye plans to target a little boy.
  • Evil Knockoff: Mawashitaro is a Lemures who dresses in a pegasus costume and was assigned to wreak havoc across the city to lure out the Sailor Guardians.
  • Foreign Exchange Student: It's implied that the Victim of the Week is a foreign exchange student given his Western name, blonde hair and blue eyes.
  • Foreshadowing: In the end, Rei suggests that she and her friends go to the beach to look for potential dates. The next episode would have the beach as the main location.
  • Forgot About Her Powers: Even though they can't rely on Pegasus to use their Finishing Move against Mawashitaro, Sailor Moon doesn't think to use Moon Tiara Action to weaken him first.
  • Frame-Up: Fish Eye has been trying to lure out the Sailor Guardians by using a Pegasus imposter to attack random civilians. They don't fall for it but this does lead to all of Juuban having a negative impression of the horse.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Rei boasts to Chibi-Usa that she, Minako and Makoto are experts at love and how she can call on them for professional advice. Usagi bursts her bubble by reminding them that she's the only one with a boyfriend.
  • Mood Whiplash: The Inner girls are disheartened to learn that Pegasus is a rogue monster who may actually be their enemy. It then shows Usagi who's eating a big lunch right next to them.
  • Next Tier Power-Up: The Inner Guardians accept Pegasus' power which allows them to achieve their Super forms.
  • I Resemble That Remark!: After Rei insists to Ami that they're not nosy for spying on Chibi-Usa, Minako supports her claim by saying that they're worried about her and they're nosy.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After criticizing Fish Eye for being a creep who doesn't have any adult friends to bother, Robert makes the responsible choice and walks away from him.
  • Skewed Priorities: As soon as Chibi-Usa shows up at Fruits Parlor Crown, Makoto steers the conversation about the horse to Chibi-Usa being asked out by Robert.
  • Surprise Car Crash: The episode starts with a truck driver being forced to crash his truck because of a horrible flying monster that charged into him.
