Normally it's too many cooks who spoil the broth, but it seems to be just one today.

“Dearest Mamo-chan, I bet you're starting to worry that all the boys at school are trying to ask me out because I'm too cute. But don't you worry about a thing. You'll always be the one and only person I love in this whole universe. Miss you lots.”
Usagi Tsukino

Taiki catches a glimpse of Makoto's food cuisine talent and asks her to take part in an upcoming cooking special with him. To bad for everyone that Usagi volunteers herself as her assistant to help out.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Taiki can't help but laugh after hearing Usagi admit that she has no interest in London if it doesn't have snacks to appease her.
  • Blatant Lies: Usagi lies to Haruka and Michiru about her situation with Mamoru out of fear of worrying them. Though when alone, they can tell something is wrong with her.
  • Book Dumb: Usagi has no idea about who romantic poet William Blake is nor where London is.
  • Book Ends: The episode starts with Haruka and Michiru catching Usagi in the library. And then it ends with them by the oceanside contemplating an upcoming catastrophe.
  • Continuity Nod: Makoto managed to join the Cooking Club just like she initially wanted.
  • Dramatic Irony: Taiki believes that Sailor Moon is an idealistic dunce for believing such nonsense while never experiencing the brutality of war.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Two more Sailor Animamates, one with red eyes and wings and another with blue eyes and long hair, appear to see Sailor Galaxia.
  • Evil Chef: Sailor Chef turns into a hyperviolent robot that uses knives and culinary tools to attack the Sailor Guardians. He can also conjure any food of his choosing.
  • Face Framed in Shadow: The new villains show up covered completely in darkness.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Rei and Minako are jealous that not only would Makoto get to be on TV with Taiki while using their strawberries. But it gets worse when they learn that Usagi is there too.
  • The Klutz: Usagi's clumsy side takes full effect during her time on the cooking special. From ruining the baking batter with how she handled the ingredients to her using baking powder which explodes everywhere on set.
  • Mood Whiplash: The penultimate scene has Usagi being comically forced to pay for a strawberry shortcake so her friends can enjoy it. But then it cuts to a somber scene featuring the Outer Guardians sensing a magnificent threat that's about to strike the Earth.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Discussed. The normally serious Taiki has never laughed or displayed much positive emotions. It isn't until he spends time with someone special like Usagi does he actually laugh which he finds peculiar.
  • The Reveal: The audience learns what type of person the Starlights are looking for.
  • Wham Line: Seiya makes this observation about Sailor Moon that sheds light on their special someone.
Seiya: I feel like... there are moments when she kinda resembles our princess. Weird right?
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Taiki is offended that Seiya would compare Sailor Moon to their princess.
    • Played for Laughs when Rei and Minako discover that Makoto will be using the strawberries to make a cake with Taiki instead of using them for a dessert she promised them earlier.
  • You Remind Me of X: Seiya thinks out loud how Sailor Moon reminds him of their princess.
