Haruka and Michiru bring the reborn Hotaru to Soichi, who is recovering in hospital from injuries and amnesia but is okay to be with his child. From there, they challenge Sailor Moon to a fight as they see her actions in the recent conflict as nearly causing the apocalypse.
Tropes in this episode include:
- The Bus Came Back: Momoko, one of Chibi-usa's first friends from Season 2, returns to play with her.
- But Now I Must Go: Now that the world is saved and that their business with Sailor Moon is wrapped up, the cool lesbians leave town to dress up and travel together.
- Call-Back: Chibi-usa is shown with the rabbit backpack her parents bought her. Later she loses her hat which finds it's way to Baby!Hotaru.
- Continuity Nod: While driving, Haruka thinks back to how she first met Michiru along with discovering the Talismans within themselves.
- Heroic Self-Deprecation: Usagi admits to her friends that she is a naïve crybaby.
- A House Divided: The Outers express their disdain for Usagi's compassion as it almost plunged the planet into ruin, they even go as far as to say that she's unfit to be the future queen. The Inners step in having had enough of their stubborn coldness and are willing to fight them.
- I Regret Nothing: While Usagi would love for their to be peace between her group and the Outers, she openly professes that she doesn't regret saving Hotaru.
- In Medias Res: The episode picks up with Sailor Moon entering Pharoah 90's dimension and returning with Hotaru who's become a baby.
- Internal Reveal:
- Chibiusa learns about Sailor Pluto's death along with Hotaru being possessed by Mistress 9. She also learns that Hotaru was reborn as a baby and meets her again by chance.
- Haruka and Michiru reveal to Usagi and the remaining Guardians that Hotaru is alive.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Because of a head injury along with experiencing severe psychological trauma, Soichi has forgotten everything from his involvement with the Death Busters.

- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Uranus and Neptune show no mercy as they take on Sailor Moon in a final showdown.

- Stepford Smiler: Even though Chibi-usa tries to put on a happy face for everyone, she's still upset as she doesn't know what became of her best friend forever.
- So Proud of You: Pluto's first words are saying she's proud of Chibi-usa's development.

- Haruka and Michiru view Usagi jeopardizing the safety of the world to protect it's destroyer to be an unforgivable act in their eyes.
- Venus points out that while she and her friends don't hate the Outers, they won't forgive the two for badmouthing Usagi after everything she's done.
