Mario tries to acquire some DRIP
The Mushroom Kingdom fashion awards ceremony is around the corner, which drives Mario into looking for good enough clothing for the ceremony. But when it's clear that he has no fashion sense, the crew rallies to find him an award-winning outfit for the night.
Tropes:
- Accidental Hero: Mario fends off two bullies who were making fun of Goku for his style, but only because the bullies were bugging the crap out of him. This later pays off when Goku restores Mario's self-confidence when Mario finds himself in the same boat.
- Battle in the Center of the Mind: How Mario vs. "Had to do it to 'em" Mario plays out.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: Early in the video, Mario helps out Goku against a pair of bullies who are mocking his fashion style. Goku later returns the favor later on by teaching the Fat Italian An Aesop on fashion.
- Brick Joke: Heavy Squid reveals that Meggy must pay a $400,000 dollar bill for Mario's clothes, so Meggy pawns it off to Bob. Later during his performance, Bob is not happy when learns about it.
- Call-Back: The episode reminds us that Mario only owns one set of clothes, as stated in "Mario Does His Laundry".
- Naked People Are Funny: Boopkins realizes that he has no clothes, so he can't find decent getup for Mario. Unfortunately, the plumber misinterprets it as a choice article, so he rips off his clothes and runs off to show off. Needless to say, people don't like the sight.
- Pet the Dog: When Mario sees Luigi sad after accidentally ruining an expensive suit Luigi bought, he genuinely feels bad and apologizes.
- Shockingly Expensive Bill: Apparently, the suit Squid-Heavy got Mario on Meggy's behalf is $400,000.Meggy: ...give the bill to Bob.
