WOWIE ZOWIE Mario eats a wonder flower and things get a lil weird.
Fresh out of jail for the whole notebook debacle, Mario stumbles upon a Wonder Flower in the castle, which he eats in one bite. Suddenly, the world around him takes a turn for the crazy: why are SMGs 3 and 4 suddenly Eggdog and Beeg SMG4's pets? Why do his friends look... weird? There's only one way out of the craziness: a Wonder Seed. But can Mario find one amid all the chaos around him?
- Butt-Monkey: Luigi is one of the few unaffected mentally by the Wonder Flower but he's stuck to the ceiling with an inflated head so all that does is make him miserable.
- Call-Back: During the scene where Mario confronts Fishy Boopkins for swiping the Wonder Seed over a cliff, the latter morphs into his very first redesign as he taunts Mario with a Your Mom joke.
- Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail shows Mario's Elephant form using the canon model from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but in the episode proper only a brief silhouette of the canon form is shown before Mario turns into a realistic elephant instead.
- Didn't Think This Through: Mario tumbles off a cliff after failing to jump after Bowser, so he eats the elephant fruit to slow him down... and since elephants are naturally very heavy, he ends up plummeting to the ground even faster.
- Later-Installment Weirdness: This is the first "SMG4-ified" adaptation of a Mario game to not follow the "Stupid Mario" naming scheme.
- Me's a Crowd: Meggy is transformed into 4 "Leggys" who try to keep the flagpole away from Mario.
- Not Quite Back to Normal: Mario eats the Wonder Seed which gets rid of all the craziness... except Boopkins is still on fire.
- Only Sane Man: By virtue of being one of the very rare people unaffected by the Wonder Flower's crazy effects, Mario finds himself as this, even initially lamenting he fell off. Luigi may also qualify, as he's one of the very few people shown to be aware of the changes and is clearly unhappy with the state that he's in.
- Revenge: Mario accidentally breaks Yoshi's legs in his elephant form. In retaliation, Yoshi messes with a gravity-controlling machine and has a Spike version of Swagmaster drop a gigantic spiked ball, which he uses to crush Mario repeatedly by controlling the machine.
- Running Gag: The talking flower wishing to be stepped on.
- Russian Reversal: SMG4 and SMG3's pets swap roles with their owners.
- Snap Back: Despite WOTFI 2023 ending with Mario in prison alongside Marty, in this episode he's back with the gang with no one questioning it. According to
Word of God, he got let off the hook after pleading "oopsie daisy".
