SMG4 finds some crappy games disposed by Shigeru Miyamoto, and witnesses first hand what they have for him and his brain.
This episode of SMG4 provides examples of:
- Back from the Dead: The Kongs performed a dark ritual to resurrect Chunky Kong at Taco Bell.
- Call-Back:
- Mario hasn't forgotten his pingas getting stuck to the door.
- Waluigi almost uses his power of rejection. And just like in War On Smash Bros Ultimate, Wario stops him from doing so.
- Cut-and-Paste Note: The title screen and most of the games are made out of other game titles.
- Embarrassing Browser History: Whimpu goes through Luigi's browsing history, before the screen shows his face snap to being shocked and horrified. Whimpu then says the FBI should be there any minute, and they immediately arrive and beat up Whimpu for having the phone.
- G-Rated Drug: To recap the episode: SMG4 finds memes in an alleyway dumpster, uses them, sees several very weird experiences, and then dies of meme overdose. Does This Remind You of Anything?
- Jaw Drop: Whimpu has one upon seeing Luigi's Embarrassing Browser History, though what he's seeing isn't shown to the audience.
- Mood Whiplash:
- Skits go from "Mario and Luigi get drafted into the Vietnam War", to "Kirby does his taxes 2" to "Toad shoves a green shell up Luigi’s ass and Luigi enjoys it at 7:59am".
- In "Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi Diagnose Sonic and Knuckles with The Thousand Year Gay", after Knuckles wonders what the titular disease entails, Luigi says that it means it's time to party. Cue a Dance Party Ending… which gets cut short when Mario points out Sonic and Knuckles only have a week left to live.
- Murder by Mistake: The FBI arrive and beat up Whimpu for the horrible things in the search history of the phone he's holding, with no idea that the phone actually belongs to Luigi.
- Nested Story Reveal: The whole episode turns out to be the trailer for New Super SMG4 OD's On Crappy Meme Games Miyamoto Dumped Deluxe, watched by Mario on his Switch. He calls it shit.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: During "Donkey Kong Brings Communism To Canada", the Canadian prime ministernote is labelled as just "Prime Minister" and depicted as G-Man.
- Non-Indicative Name: The Thousand-Year Gay kills you in a week.
- Not Hyperbole: Upon getting a look at Luigi's search history, Whimpu comments that the FBI should be knocking the door down at any minute. Guess what happens less than a second later.
- Random Events Plot: This episode's "plot" is nothing more than a bunch of skits based around the theme of rejected Nintendo games.
- Summon Bigger Fish: In Shrek Generations, Shrek and a bunch of ogres summon a Giant Shrek to kill Eggman.
- Take Our Word for It: It isn't shown to the audience what is in Luigi's Embarrassing Browser History, only that it's enough to elicit a Jaw Drop from Whimpu and to summon the FBI to dispose of Luigi's phone.
