With Adam at his lowest, Langa prepares for his beef against him which doesn't happen at Crazy Rock, but an abandoned area that used to be the S course that was then deemed too dangerous for skaters.

Tropes:

  • Book Ends: The episode ends with Langa talking to the viewer about what he considers his happiness, paralleling to Reki's first introduction where he discussed what others defined as "happiness" before saying he already had his. Langa also says he knows what his "happiness" is as the camera then goes over to Reki.
  • Call-Back: Reki writing the word "Fun" on Langa's new skateboard, the word he taught him in the prior episode.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Adam starts destroying the roof of the course where the stalactites hang in an attempt to hurt Langa, who manages to dodge them.
  • Dramatic Unmask: Adam's mask breaks as Langa offers him to skate for the fun of it and not be too worried over what others think.
  • Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: As Langa gets into the zone with Adam, his eyes start dulling out, looking similar to the time when his father had died and he lost all his passion for snowboarding.
  • Evil Costume Switch: Adam is tailored a new heart-shaped backless grim reaper themed outfit for his beef against Langa.
  • The Glomp: Langa delivers this to Reki once he sees him at the finish line.
  • Group Hug: The skate crew give one to Langa after he crosses the finish line and tell him how happy they are that he won.
  • Implied Love Interest: Langa talking about his "happiness" with the camera going over to Reki and slowly panning up to his face.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite everything that Adam had done throughout the series, he manages to get away with barely a slap on his wrist and even gets his own version of a happy ending.
  • Public Domain Soundtrack: The episode begins with Ludwig van Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement".
  • Riding into the Sunset: For Reki and Langa, it's more like "Riding off into the sunrise".
  • Say My Name: Both Reki and Tadashi get a moment when calling out their respective person.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Adam appears at the party after jumping out of his helicopter, everyone but Langa and Reki make a break for it.
  • Happiness in Slavery: Adam telling Tadashi he's his "dog" until the end of their lives, Tadashi happily smiles at this.
  • Lonely at the Top: Langa wonders if the reason Adam may be skating is partly because he feels alone.
  • What You Are in the Dark: When Adam finds himself alone in the zone without Langa there, he starts panicking and screaming about how everyone leaves him alone in the end.
  • Where Are They Now:
    • Langa and his mother visit Canada again and are talking to Oliver's gravestone. Langa even brought his skateboard over and is likely talking about how much fun he's having with his mother smiling fondly at him.
    • Reki starts teaching his siblings how to skate, with Koyomi seemingly having a knack for it just like her brother.
    • Shadow has finally gotten up the nerve to ask his boss out on a date... Too bad the next shot shows she already has a boyfriend, leading Shadow brokenhearted as he screams and cries during his next race at S.
    • Joe has a few dates that see a signing that they decide to go to, and it just so happens to be Cherry. Cherry writes "To little Kojiro: Dimwit" leading Joe to attempt to pick a fight while Cherry draws on his face.
    • Miya is back at school and passing by his old friend. They say something to him that actually brightens Miya's face as he happily runs off.
    • Adam has fixed up his problem with Kiriko, having her sent away and promoted. Tadashi wonders why Adam didn't go with his original plan on making him the scapegoat with Adam explaining he would only look more suspicious if he didn't take some of the blame for the scandal. He also adds that Tadashi is his "dog" forever, which Tadashi happily smiles at.
  • You Are Not Alone: What Langa tells Adam as he pulls him out of the zone and tells him to come back to reality.
