Reki is training to prepare himself to skate against Adam, with some of the other's helping and worrying over the consequences of his beef.
Tropes:
- Badass Boast: When Tadashi informs Adam he may need to take a different plane just to make his meeting tomorrow, Adam simply says there's no need to rebook his flight since this race would only take about fifteen minutes.
- Blackmail: Miya threatens to tell on Shadow's boss about his S persona, forcing him to drive the teens to Crazy Rock for Reki to practice.
- Casual Danger Dialog: Adam calmly talks about the course as if he's reading a map off to Reki who is terrified out of his mind from feeling like he's going to crash to being pinned to the ground as they're moving.
- How Is That Even Possible?: Miya talks to the others about Adam's rumored ability to be able to "skate uphill". The others brush it off as mere rumors with Langa even attempting it and failing. During his race, Reki and the others soon find out that Adam being able to skate uphill, is very real.
- Hypocritical Humor: Reki asks why Langa wants to skate against Adam with Langa firing back that Reki challenged Miya for little reason besides the fact that the kid pissed him off and is using that same reason to have a beef with Adam.
- It's Personal: Cherry's main reason for wanting to have a beef against Adam is for an unspecified grudge he's held onto for the past several years.
- Oh, Crap!: Reki's reaction when Adam starts coming at him with his Love Hug. He's so terrified he ends up bailing hard enough he needs to be sent to the hospital.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Miya is still a bit gruff around Reki, but it's clear he wants Reki to do well, or at the very least not get sent to the hospital.
- Just Toying with Them: Throughout the first part of their race, Adam is simply messing with Reki from giving him a head start so he can have a smoke break, getting into his space and pinning him to the ground. It's only when Reki passes him does he flick away his cigarette and starts skating more seriously and performs his Love Hug.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: Adam tosses his cigarette away when he decides he's had enough of playing around with Reki and performs his Love Hug, causing Reki to hit the ground hard enough his head is bleeding.
- No Sense of Personal Space: Adam pulling Reki close despite the teenager trying to get away and pinning him to the ground.
- Picky Eater: Miya nearly scratches Reki's face off when the other shoves a hamburger in his mouth after seeing Miya's food was basically just a protein drink for his own personal training.
- Wall Pin of Love: Adam doing this to Reki as they turn into a curve, which terrifies Reki.
- Wolf Whistle: Joe gives one in appreciation for Reki managing Miya's Rail-Slide trick and getting ahead of Adam.
