SCP-800 - An Eastern History

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eagle_painting_6.jpg
The latest iteration of 800.
SCP-800 is an East Asian paper scroll painting of variable style and subject matter. At the current time of writing, the scroll displays an ink painting of two Korean warriors placed above one another, the upper warrior armed with a bow and the lower warrior armed with a saingeom-style sword. According to information gained from previous custodians, the scene depicted on 800 has been observed to spontaneously take on 12 distinct forms since the beginning of the 20th century. The mechanism by which the scroll's image changes is unknown, and no changes have been recorded electronically, despite the constant surveillance since the scroll entered Foundation custody.

SCP-801 - Seven Furs

SCP-801 consists of seven articles of fur clothing, each of which will begin a rapid change in a human subject if worn. Subjects have described the change as "excruciating", before they soon both coherent speech and the ability to stand upright. The subject's vocalizations begin to become less human and more animalistic as the external changes become apparent, according to which article of clothing is worn. After 5 minutes, the subject will be fully transformed into a hybrid of a human being and the animal whose fur was made to make the respective article worn by the subject. Transformed subjects behave in a highly aggressive and feral manner, and will demonstrate a strong resistance to pain.

SCP-802 - Musical Tank

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/425_5.jpg
An archived photo of 802 in active duty.
SCP-802 is a heavily damaged World War II era Renault Char B1 medium battle tank which, unlike regular tanks, is able to operate on its own. 802 routinely "patrols" an area of roughly six square kilometers in the French countryside. Within this territory are the remains of a village that was determined via historical records to have been mysteriously abandoned in the early 20th century. Upon arrival into the tank's area of influence, intruders will immediately be shadowed and stalked by the vehicle, which will begin attacking and harass them in any way possible. 802 has also been observed to have had music emenaring from within its hull, which can occasionally be heard echoing throughout the containment area at night. While the music broadcasted stutters constantly, as if played on a damaged record plaer, over 19 distinct songs dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries have been identified, though a definite cause of the music's source has yet been determined.
  • The Alleged Car: 802 is missing its turret, is run through with rust, and bears several battle scars.
  • Sapient Tank: The file notes that the Foundation isn't sure whether or not 802 is actually sapient. While it does patrol the village and responds to threats, no one knows if this is from "instinct" or because it recognizes trespassers.
  • My Greatest Failure: Implied; the tank patrols the ruins of a long-abandoned French village lost during WWII.
  • Tank Goodness: Beaten up and lacking a lot of what made it dangerous, but still a fearsome weapon of war.

SCP-803 - Predatory Parasols

SCP-803 is a currently undetermined number of small, autonomous machines that resemble umbrellas. A large amount of medical equipment is visible on the underside of the canopy of every 803 instance. SCP-803-2, instances producing a greater wingspan and possess rows of metal hooks in lieu of medical equipment, serve as carriers for swarms of 803. The primary function of 803 appears to be the capture, experimentation, and occasional vivisection of medium to large mammals using the aforesaid apparatuses, often involving the removal and/or transplantation of organs, blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid. Surviving subjects report being fully conscious during these experiments, as well experiencing feelings of intense pain and panic throughout the process.

SCP-804 - World Without Man

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ice_ball_new_0.jpg
World Without Man, currently inactive.
SCP-804 is the remains of an art installation titled "World Without Man," constructed by the defunct artists' group Unelmat Paremmasta Maailmasta. According to retrieved documentation, 804 was originally a large, clear globe of Earth, with several smaller globes and video equipment within. While the globes within 804 rotate, all man-made artifacts within approximately 100 meters of the sculpture begin rapidly deteriorating. The effect applies to anything ranging from machinery to buildings, clothing, plastics, synthetic chemical compounds, and any tool more complex than a sharpened stick of wood. Human tissue is also affected, but at a slower rate of decay, causing victims to become emaciated as they lose body mass, leading up to collapse of the skeletal structure and death, with the body swiftly breaking down into component matter shortly thereafter.
  • Cryo-Prison: SCP-804 remains at its original location in Alaska, where the cold, frozen environment stops it from rotating and prevents its destructive effect. It is guarded at all times to ensure that no one attempts to activate it.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: The globe's effect is to destroy everything man-made in the area. However, the globe itself is also man-made, so it damages itself every time it rotates. When it was activated, it also wiped out the artists' collective that created it, as well as all of their work.
  • Mad Artist: SCP-804 was created by an artists' group that intended to use it to scrub all traces of humanity from the Earth and return it to a pristine, pastoral state.
  • Misanthrope Supreme: Its creators attempted to use it to Kill All Humans.
  • Not Brainwashed: When the globe was discovered, being rotated by a large crowd of people who continued to operate it even as it destroyed them, it was believed that the object had memetic properties compelling them to turn it. They were found to be turning the globe of their own free will, and had every intention of wiping all human life off the planet.
  • World-Wrecking Wave: When the globe is turned, it causes all man-made objects in the immediate area to completely disintegrate, with the affected area becoming larger the longer the globe continues to rotate.

SCP-805 - Poison Wood Foal

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/805_8.jpg
805 in the wild.
SCP-805 is an animate assortment of branches and roots twisted into the shape of a young horse. The interior is lacking in organs and completely hollow. In spite of this, the object is mobile, mimicking the movements and instincts of a typical foal. Upon contact with 805, human skin will show signs of irritation not unlike that caused by poison oak, turning red and beginning to itch as small red bumps erupt from the flesh. 2 to 3 days after the rash appears, the irritation will flare and spread rapidly until the entire surface of the skin is covered. Subjects have reported excruciating pain both internal and external, with the skin beginning to change color between pale brown or green. As the internal body pressure rises, blood will be forced out the orifices of the subject, including their eyes and fingernails. Bone width increases, and muscle is absorbed into the widening bones which thicken rapidly, transforming the subject into an immobile, but still conscious, mass of branches similar to 805 itself.
  • And I Must Scream: It is theorized that the victims are still alive after being converted to wood, due to them creaking and groaning as if attempting to move.
  • Bloody Horror: While the victims are being converted to wood, their blood is forced out of their various orifices, such as their eyes and fingernails.
  • Body Horror: Anyone who touches it has their body converted to wood over the course of 3 to 8 hours, and the process is described as extremely painful.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: It's a foal composed of wood of a species similar to poison oak.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: While SCP-805 is dangerous, it is not cruel. In fact, it is actually friendly, and seems to wish it could interact with humans normally. When a photo of it was taken using SCP-978 ("The Desire Camera"):
Photo Result: Being patted and hugged by smiling humans, one of whom is astride its back.

SCP-806 - Resurrection Projection

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/806_projector_6.jpg
806 on discovery.
SCP-806 is a modified film projector, originally built circa 1900. When active, 806 creates biological material through an unknown process, which will arrange itself in a manner that recreates an instance of SCP-806-1, a nude "copy" of a deceased subject in the open space before the screen, which will appear as they were at the time of the latest recording used. Finalized instances of 806-1 lack any color pigment, appearing as if in monochrome. Complete instances will usually retain most memories of their past life, and initially will believe that they are the original individual.

SCP-807 - Heart Attack On A Plate

SCP-807 is a salmon-colored ceramic dinner plate with the words "Last Chance Diner" printed in white on the edges. 807 transmutates any food served upon it into a variation of its original form with high concentrations of fat, sodium, and cholesterol. Once altered, the desire to consume said food becomes nearly irresistible. Anyone who does consume said food will undergo cardiac arrest within five minutes of finishing the meal, due to a sudden and massive buildup of fat cells in the major arteries.
  • High-Pressure Blood: One attempt to kill 682 was to feed it multiple instances of food that had been altered by 807. Upon reviving from a heart attack after eating the first "682 special", on eating a second one 682's blood pressure had skyrocketed to the point it was erupting from his body like a high-pressure fire hose.
  • Impossibly Delicious Food: Any food changed by 807 will have its smell and taste enhanced to the nth degree, to the point that it becomes physically impossible to resist eating it.
  • Noodle Incident: They put an already unhealthy Luther Burger on the plate, which turned into such a Nutritional Nightmare that testing was suspended due to the high number of casualties.
  • Nutritional Nightmare: The SCP is a plate that turns any food placed on it into a grossly unhealthy variation of itself with such high amounts of fat and cholesterol that anyone who eats it will have a heart attack within five minutes due to an almost instant buildup of fat building up around the arteries, and that's after eating something that was healthy prior to its transmutation. Food that's already bad for you before to being placed on the SCP had such a bad result that the information on it was redacted.

SCP-808 - Mechanical Choir

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/808_2.png
The humanoid portion of 808.
SCP-808 is a mechanical construct standing approximately 16m tall. The uppermost portion of 808 is constructed in a somewhat humanoid form possessing four limbs, the upper limbs appearing somewhat vestigial and the lower limbs apparently taken from a mannequin. The face seems to be replaced with a speaker system, possibly constructed of copper. While 808 runs, a high-pitched whine is emitted from the humanoid construct. As the construct's structure degrades or is tampered with (usually through attempts to disassemble the object, or through application of force), the noise's volume will increase dramatically. Direct damage to the humanoid construct has caused it to emit a "scream", capable of deafening and even killing personnel on-site, as well as causing extensive property damage. No further attempts to deconstruct or destroy 808 are to be taken for this reason, with the exception of extreme emergencies.
  • Hell Is That Noise: If it requires maintenance or if someone tries to disassemble it, it will emit a loud shriek. It can become so loud that is resonates nearby metal and can kill (or severely deafen) any close-by humans. Aside from that, the noise itself is non-anomalous.
  • Humongous Mecha: The entire thing stands as tall as sixteen (16) meters tall, with a base approximately five by six meters (30 m2).
  • Ominous Music Box Tune: It was built to act as a robotic musician to celebrate the return of the Broken God, essentially being a glorified music box dancer.

SCP-809 - Combat Boots

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/809_6.jpg
The boots in containment.
SCP-809 is a heavily stained and worn pair of leather boots. Forensic analysis of the boots confirms that the stains are composed of soil and human blood. The boots' anomalous property is activated by a subject donning them and closing their eyes for five to ten seconds. Upon activation, subjects experience a vision from the point of view of a French infantryman being stabbed repeatedly through the abdomen by the bayonet of a German soldier, followed by approximately seven hours of the soldier lying in the bottom of a trench before expiring from blood loss and trauma to various internal organs. The boots have been confirmed to induce severe post-traumatic stress disorder the majority of subjects, the probability increasing with each new use of the boots.

SCP-810 - The Never-want Lamp

SCP-810 is a standard oil lamp dating back 1000 to 2000 thousand years. When touched by a human, an inscription appears in Aramaic, roughly translated "Ask what you will, and you shall never want for it." If the holder of the lamp expresses any of their desires verbally, the lamp will vibrate briefly. The holder will, from then on, have no desire for what they wished for. The effect appears to include overriding basic instinctual needs. Once a person has been granted a "wish" by 810, it has no effect on them for at least 4 years.

SCP-811 - Swamp Woman

SCP-811 is a feminine creature that identifies itself as "Ae". She is shaped similarly to a human female, with disproportionally long limbs and a slightly-bloated abdominal region. Ae's skin has slight abrasive properties, and a mottled green coloration that serves to camouflage her among the reeds in her natural habitat. Her sweat has similarly been observed to act as a mild skin irritant. The palmoplantar surfaces of her skin constantly secrete a clear, green-tinted mucus with minor adhesive properties. Any other organic matter that Ae comes into physical contact with begins to rapidly decompose through processes not fully understood, reducing the matter into a slightly viscous black liquid. Ae can then absorb said liquid through her skin and directly into the circulatory system. While she typically displays the mindset of a feral, predatory creature, Ae displays self-awareness about her condition, as well as geniality and cheerfulness toward Foundation personnel, usually cooperating with them when she doesn't percieve them as threats.
  • Big Eater: She apparently likes bovine prey since she requested regular delivery of them.
  • Bizarre Human Biology: She has an incomplete digestive tract, absorbs nutrients through her skin, and has liquid rot for blood. Furthermore, her only method of voiding waste is to vomit. She also uses this to hunt.
  • Bloody Murder: The aforementioned liquid rot in her veins is pretty toxic, although she doesn't deliberately use it as a weapon.
  • Body Horror: Aside from the obvious (read: everything else in her entry that isn't creepily cute), her personal account of how she became what she is now was apparently quite painful and involved vomiting up all the blood in her system.
  • Cute Monster Girl: In an ugly cute sorta way, due to her mannerisms in her interview log. She also likes turtles.
  • Eloquent in My Native Tongue: Doesn't have a "native tongue", per se, but it's apparent that she has complex thoughts and is frustrated by her inability to express them well.
  • The Grotesque: Her description makes her sound like a hideous and repulsive creature who's very presence is a hazard to your health, but her docile nature, child-like demeanor, and tragic past make you want to risk contracting gangrene just to give her a hug.
  • Make Them Rot: Constantly secretes a mucus that does this out of the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet.
    • The Foundation even tried to use it to melt SCP-682. They didn't put her in the chamber with him, for obvious reasons; instead, they just scraped some of it off of her hands and feet over a period of time so they could spray it on him. Naturally, it didn't work.
    • Walking Wasteland: The plants in her enclosure are not immune to this; they are just very good at growing back afterward, and she's smart enough to give them time to heal.
  • Manchild: Seems to be this due to her mode of speech.
  • Mercy Kill:
"Prognosis for personnel who have had contact with SCP-811's waste through a mucous membrane or open wound is good if broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy is begun in the first three hours, but then rapidly declines. Personnel who are D-Class or have gone 12 hours without getting treatment may request termination."
  • Non-Malicious Monster:
    • Most of the time. Despite her predatory nature, she's rather genial, cooperative, and even somewhat cheerful with Foundation personnel, likely because they feed her and look after her.
    • She also likes turtles and asked for one as a pet. It was denied, although turtles were removed from her dietary rotation.
  • Poisonous Person: Her digestive mucus, which she secretes from her palms and feet, rapidly reduces organic tissue into black liquid, her vomit is full of deadly bacteria, and surgery cannot be safely performed on her because it's impossible to maintain a sterile operating environment. Even her sweat is a "mild skin irritant".
  • Super Spit: SCP-811 can spit a toxic substance at a target while hunting. The target dies from either asphyxiation from having its breathing blocked or a devastating bacterial infection.
  • Swamp Monster: She is a woman mutated into a grotesque form who is implied to have lived alone in a swamp from a very young age. Most notably, she has an extremely strange physiology that has turned her into a Poisonous Person — she has an incomplete digestive tract, secretes digestive mucus from the palms of her hands and soles of her feet that rapidly reduces organic tissue into black liquid (which she then absorbs into her skin for nourishment), voids waste by vomiting a black tar containing various infectious bacteria that she can spit at a target while hunting, and has liquid rot for blood. However, despite her predatory nature, she is rather docile and child-like.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Kind of. While she's by no means a Girly Girl, for obvious reasons, she does seem to have feminine personality traits, such as a fondness for flowers (as evidenced by her asking for a specific type of flower for her enclosure) and cares about her hair (as evidenced by her asking for a hair brush and someone to wash her hair every other day). According to SCP-978, her preferred clothing would be a sundress, and she would like to braid ribbons into her hair.
  • The Tooth Hurts: Due to her regularly vomiting to void waste, she suffered from chronic tooth pain and requested to be relieved of it. The Foundation complied by removing all of her teeth and supplying her with dentures.
  • Tragic Monster: Her backstory is every bit as sad as it is nauseating.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: See Bizarre Human Biology above. Poor Research Assistant Watchel gets one, too.
  • Was Once a Man: Well, a little girl. She explains (in her own way) that she's this in her interview log.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She doesn't like crocodiles as food and requested they be taken off of her dietary rotor. Perhaps she didn't like that they bite back.
  • Wild Child: She has the mentality of a predatory animal. As long as she isn't frightened, threatened, or hungry, she's quite docile and safe to deal with.
  • You Are Number 6: A slight variation. Personnel are allowed to refer to her by the nickname "Aé" — like "eight-eleven", but pronounced as two monosyllables — due to her method of speech.
  • You No Take Candle: "Dockty. What want?"

SCP-812 - A Big Box of River

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/container.jpg
812 on a railroad track.
SCP-812 is a nondescript cargo container of corrugated steel. When the side door is opened, the interior of the container is completely filled with running water, flowing rapidly in the direction of the double doors, parallel to the long sides. The water seems to somehow be contained entirely within the object and does not pass through the side door, which is entirely permeable. Solid matter can pass through easily and can be used to draw out the water. In the event that both sets of doors are opened at once, all of the water passing through 812 will flow out the double doors. This will quickly fill any space in which the object is stored, at which point the pressure will be neutralized and normal flow will resume, passing through the object and vanishing where the double doors would ordinarily be.

SCP-813 - Glass Shard

SCP-813 is a glass sphere which has been revealed to house a microscopic system of seemingly metallic clockwork machinery. This machinery is continuously active, though the means by which it accumulates or generates power is unknown. If the sphere is shattered, the fragments produced (now designated SCP-813-1) will become capable of movement, including the ability to leap at velocities of 131 kph. 813-1 will then seek out the nearest human target, at which point they will invade the subject's eye and embed themselves into the optic nerve. Following this, the shards will extend several microscopic wires of an unidentified substance into the subject's brain, where they will remain until the subject expires.

SCP-814 - Pure Tones

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/phonograph_new.jpg
SCP-814.
SCP-814 is an ornate mahogany cabinet housing an antique wax-cylinder phonograph of unique design. The manufacturer's mark "SYNCOPE" is etched on several of the phonograph's components. SCP-814-2 is a set of four phonograph cylinders recovered from 814's four cylinder slots. Each cylinder has the phrase "PURE TONE" engraved on each end, followed by a number indicating the frequency of a tone produced by playing the cylinder. Humans exposed to the tones produced when 814-2 is played describe subtle but pervasive feelings of harmony, correctness and well-being, and the effect is found to be moderatley addictive.

SCP-815 - Snake Nut Can

SCP-815 is an anomalous variation of the novelty "snake nut can", particularly consisting of a small canister labeled "Salted Mixed Nuts," which houses four cloth-covered springs that fly out upon opening. Upon opening, the "snakes" housed within the can instantaneously vanish and violently burst from the nearest person's face. High-speed video footage reveals that the "snakes" appear to emerge largely from the lower sinuses, typically shattering the nose, cheekbones and upper jaw upon exiting. As a result, subjects often remain alive until termination or death from shock and/or blood loss. The can will re-seal itself and produce a new collection of "snakes" within 15 seconds of the victim's death.

SCP-816 - Darwin's Erector Set

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp_ecosystem.jpg
An instance of 816.
SCP-816 is a collection of small automatons residing in the basement of a house in Switzerland. At the core of each 816 instance is a rudimentary processor which varies very slightly between species. While no aspect of 816 violates known principles of science as of yet, they are still precisely designed to a degree which is not humanly possible. Several distinct species of 816 have been observed, though many more are likely to exist. The basic ecosystem that has evolved has followed two species of 816: "assimilators" and "collectors". Most species prey upon assimilators and collectors for energy and parts, each of them filling an ecological niche.

SCP-817 - Random Metamorphism

SCP-817 is a humanoid of indeterminate gender and variable physical features, formely identified as a young Asian male through genetic testing. 817 periodically undergoes radical metamorphic alterations to its physiology. These shifts and the physiological abnormalities produced cause 817 agonizing pain, though it seems to suffer no actual damage to its internal systems. 817 also seems to be incapable of deliberately injuring itself. 817 displays severe symptoms of psychosis and mental instability. It suffers psychotic episodes roughly 30% of its waking hours, which will always be triggered by its metamorphic shifts. Because of this, 817 is extremely hostile and will attempt to breach containment and attack personnel at any opportunity.

SCP-818 - An Abandoned Project

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp818.jpg
818 asleep in bed.
SCP-818 is a young male approximately seven to twelve years of age, who displays all the signs and behaviors consistent with low-functioning nonverbal autism. 818 possesses reaility-warping abilities, and is potentially capable of altering the universe on a fundamental level, but these abilities are severely hampered by his impairment. The changes are hypothesized to be attempts by 818 to force the order of the world as he percieves it. Because of this, pigmentation in all objects have a tendency to shift and flow, utensils and tools take on strange shapes, and sounds will emanate from no discernible source.

SCP-819 - Vital Suckers

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp819.jpg
819 spilling out of their box, logo redacted.
SCP-819 is a large box of seemingly normal lollipops, consisting of six flavors individually wrapped and on looped safety sticks, classified as SCP-819-A to F. The candies appear normal physically and chemically, and can be destroyed and consumed like any other lollipop, but experimental testing has found that each flavor affects a different bodily fluid. The affected fluid is drained while the lollipop is actively consumed, though fluid levels will return to normal as per typical generation by the body.
  • Eye Scream: When a blue SCP-819 is consumed, the liquids in the eater's eyes are sucked out (causing permanent blindness) and transferred to the eyes of another person. The recipient's eyes burst from the increased pressure and may become dislodged from the eye socket.
  • Rainbow Motif: When consumed, these lollipops drain liquid from the victim's body. The type of liquid consumed depends on the lollipop's color: red (blood), orange (gastric acid), yellow (urine), green (phlegm), blue (aqueous and vitreous humors), and purple (cerebrospinal fluid).

SCP-820 - Las Langostas Pintadas

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_l5elwkrw2e1qz6jrko1_500.jpg
A single 820 locust.
SCP-820 is a periodically manifesting swarm of grasshoppers that appears in certain areas of Peru, colloquially known as "the painted locusts" by locals. In addition to the crop and property damage as to be expected from a locust swarm, the vicinities visited by 820 experience heightened rates of accidental death, due to an as yet unexplained effect theorized to be a pseudo-hypnotic mental state induced by the color and constant motion of the swarm. Victims of the effect experience a strong sense that they are somehow protected, repeating the phrase "Everything is perfectly fine. You're totally safe, and nothing bad can happen." This will often lead to vastly increased recklessness and a dramatic drop in self preservation in affected subjects.

SCP-821 - Dixie Funland

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/821_new.jpg
The derelict ruins of 821.
SCP-821 is a structure located within the former town of Esheville, Florida. The structure's interior contains a varying number of mechanical devices intended for children that would display anomalous properties, such as a carousel whose animals engaged in autonamous movement, a variety of midway games that would emit vocalizations from no defined source, and a stage housing an animatronic band capable of engaging children in basic conversation when not performing. Maintenance and operation of these machines would be performed by humanoid automatons composed of painted copper within 821, formerly known as SCP-821-1. Following a particular incident, all instances of 821-1 were apparently destroyed or otherwise removed, and 821 began to exhibit rapid structural deterioration, eventually leading to the site being classified as Neutralized.

SCP-822 - Landmine Cacti

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp822.jpg
A specimen of 822.
SCP-822 is a species of cactus similar in appearance to Peyote. As 822 instances near maturity, a large sac forms within the center of the plant. This sac is filled with several volatile gasses and substances unique to 822. Whenever a living creature of sufficient mass approaches within 3 meters of 822, the central portion containing the gas sac violently detonates through an unknown mechanism, causing shrapnel-like shards of the cactus' skin to fly through the air. These fragments are capable of embedding themselves into the skin and flesh of any living creatures near the cactus, which carry the seeds of the plant away. Living creatures struck by these fragments that do not die from physical trauma, but they will succumb to a potent neurotoxin synthesized by the fragments within 3 to 6 hours.

SCP-823 - Carnival of Horrors

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/823_005.jpg
The ferris wheel within 823, after nature began overtaking the park.
SCP-823 is one of the most deadly and mysterious anomalies in Foundation custody. It's a decrepit amusement park that was abandoned on the day infamously referred to as "Bloody Sunday", wherein the park's attractions mysteriously gained sudden and lethal anomalous properties, resulting in the violent deaths of 231 park attendees, while another 7 were injured or maimed. Foundation agents keeping watch over the park's permiter are assigned to take extremely cautionary measures when investigating the grounds, with especially strong emphasis on ear protection.
  • Ambiguous Situation: It's not known what is killing people inside the park, how it does it, or even why.
  • Amusement Park of Doom: It's a haunted amusement park that's killed over 200 people.
  • Arc Number: 231.
  • Body Horror: Most deaths in the park involve some degree of mutilation.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The majority of the deaths in this park are horrifically violent. Some examples include a mascot found dead of suffocation, a group of people found decapitated on the roller coaster, a couple fused together in the tunnel of love, and a mutilated man found in the Hall of Mirrors.
    • Members of MTF Rho-71 suffered these as well. Examples include fatal brain trauma as a result of sexual penetration of the left eye, one with the entire contents of his gun's propellant found in his stomach and intestines, and one with a broken jaw and lung lacerations caused by his own teeth. All were ruled as suicides.
  • Forbidden Zone: An area within the park has been designated as the Red Zone. Nobody, Foundation or civilian, is allowed to enter and anyone who tries will be terminated by sniper fire. If music or piping is heard emanating from within the Red Zone, personnel are to immediately put on ear protection and withdraw to a 2 km perimeter.
  • Scenery Gorn: The park has been allowed to decay and become flooded with overgrowth since it was contained. Not that it's really seemed to change anything.

SCP-824 - Active Weed Control

SCP-824 is a species of tree characterized by significant mobility. While 824 specimens superficially resemble members of the Ginkgoaceae family, they are radically different from any known species of plant. 824's branches will move at random until they come into contact with living or recently deceased plant matter. Should this occur, branches and roots of 824 will wrap tightly around the matter in question, then retract in an attempt to pull the plant in its entirety to 824. The roots will then grind the acquired matter into a fine powder, from which 824 derives nutrition and sustenance.

SCP-825 - Helmet of Disturbing Visions

SCP-825 is a standard-sized helmet of medieval design. Upon application, the subject wearing the helmet will be unable to move any part of their body below the neck until 825 is removed. During this time, the subject will be unable to see, feel, or otherwise sense their surroundings, with the exception of muted and/or distant sounds. The subject will also experience highly convincing visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, tactile, and nociceptive hallucinations. The form and nature of the hallucinations vary depending on subject, but the only common element is the disturbing and unpleasant nature of the hallucinations, as they tend to focus on the subject's phobias and neuroses.

SCP-826 - Draws You into the Book

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp826.jpg
The bookends.
SCP-826 is a 20cm x 15cm pair of bookends, molded in the shape of two outward-facing dragon heads. When a subject places a book between 826 in a way that it touches both ends, 826 will instantaneously convert the interior of whatever room it is currently located in into the setting of the contained book. Any form of entry into the room will instead open into a random location within the book's setting. Additionally, the subject will find themselves at a random temporal location in the book's plot, ranging from the beginning to the end of the book. If the subject does not find 826 within the setting before the "end" of the book, the bookends will "reset" the setting, starting the book's plot over.
  • Portal Book: SCP-826 is two bookends. When a book is placed between them, the room it's in will change into the setting of the book. Anyone who enters the room will enter a random location in the book's setting. Any actions the explorer takes will be reflected in the book after they leave it.
  • Theory of Narrative Causality: Averted, testing has shown there is nothing stopping those who enter the stories from radically altering their outcome. Attempts to exploit this trope by placing SCP-682 in the 12-page The Generally Nice, Friendly Thing That Can And Will Kill SCP-682 Permanently if it So Much As Spots That Damn Lizard resulted in the 209-page The Generally Nice, Friendly Thing That Tried To Kill SCP-682 Permanently But Failed.
  • Year Inside, Hour Outside: A person can spend hours inside the book while only minutes pass outside.

SCP-827 - The Soup

SCP-827 is a semi-solid mass of biologically active human stem cells. 827 is capable of self-renewal and is totipotent, with cells replacing themselves at a rate of approximately 200,000 mitosis cycles per day, with roughly the same amount dying off per day. When a sample of human organ tissue is introduced to the mass, 827 will break the tissue down and assimilate it into the mass witha unique enzyme. Following this, 827's cells will enter an active state, generating copies of the organs from which the tissue originated. These organs, designated SCP-827-A, differ from their original purpose in drastic ways, such as muscular systems developing and attempting to escape 827, and a plant-like structure with branches made from malformed jaws. While organic material is assimilated, 827 will outright reject all liquid samples.
  • And I Must Scream: It's implied that that 827 is still at least partly conscious and sapient despite his transformation into a hideous blob monster, as it has attempted to communicate - but couldn't manage much more than writing the letter "G".
  • Body Horror: It was born from a desperate attempt to cure cancer and resulted in a human body regenerating itself in nightmarish proportions; body horror is a given.
  • Blob Monster: What Dr. George Farrow turned himself into while trying to cure his cancer with stem cell therapy.
  • Healing Factor: Thanks to its insane cell replication, it's capable of regenerating from almost anything, but never in its original form. In Farrow's final entry, he notes that he went so far as to cut his arm off in order to stop the uncontrollable Body Horror, only to find the arm growing back with "too many toes."

SCP-828 - ᖃᓪᓗᐱᓪᓗᐃᑦ

SCP-828 is a humanoid organism with white, pupilless eyes and long "hair" composed of kelp-like stipes of Alaria esculenta. The entity's skin resembles that of fish of the Myoxophalus genus. 828 is amphibious, but cannot remain out of water for more than 10 minutes without suffering from dehydration. The hands and feet are webbed to facilitate swimming, and medical examination of the "hair" has revealed that it is permeated by extensive vasculature indicating, that it is used for gaseous exchange. SCP-828-2 is a heavily water-damaged amauti that 828 was wearing prior to containment. The garment is made of materials traditionally associated with Inuit clothing, such as seal fur, caribou hide, and woolen duffel. When 828 places a child into the carrying pouch of the garment, the child is unaffected by cold temperatures or hyperbaric ambient pressure, and does display the need to breathe.

SCP-829 - Supersonic Can Opener

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/concorde_sm.png
Flight 3075.
SCP-829 is a temporal event that occurred on British Airways Flight 3075 on March 2nd, 1993. SCP-829-A is the plane itself, an FA/BAC Concorde supersonic airliner which is considered anomalous by proxy. SCP-829-B is a viscous non-Newtonian fluid created from a composition of water, amino acids, and various other organic compounds which has been discovered to absorb and assimilate any living being that touches it.

SCP-830 - Inky Quicksand

SCP-830 is a shifting pool that appears to be composed of a mixture of oil and sand. Any human subject who comes into physical contact with 830 are drawn into the pool itself, where they are presumably drowned. The faces of those consumed by 830 will often form upon the pool's surface; distorted, but recognizable. Chief characteristics of these faces include remorse or regret for the actions directly leading to their consumption by 830, as well as complaints of excruciating pain. It has been noted to be extremely difficult to change the subject when communicating with a face of 830.

SCP-831 - Tinkerbug

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/termite_new.jpg
A colony of 831.
SCP-831 is a species of insect which superficially resemble worker-caste termites. The insects appear to be capable of feeding on most organic material, with a particular preference for cellulose and sugars. Unlike true termites, 831 do not appear to be divided into castes with distinct morphology. All specimens are essentially "workers", and all females are capable of breeding with an extremely short gestation period. Colonies of 831 will spend most of their time constructing and using tools from nearly any available materials, rapidly bootstrapping from simpler tools to more complex tools.

SCP-832 - Accountant's Coin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1966_kennedy_half_dollar.png
SCP-832.
SCP-832 is a US half dollar minted in 1966. When a subject comes into direct physical contact with the coin, they suddenly gain the ability to recite exactly how much money they currently have at any given time, even if asked for the amount in a form that they are not storing it in. The subject also becomes more cautiousl with their assets, attempting to reduce their expenses and maximize their income wherever possible. In addition, they are shown to become more emotionally sensitive to changes in their financial status, positive and negative.

SCP-833 - Charity Worms

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp_833.jpg
A microscopic scan of an 833 instance.
SCP-833 is a parasitic nematode of the genus Trichinella, which is only capable of infesting humans. Infestation by 833 will result in affected subjects developing symptoms similar to mild trichinosis. What sets 833 apart from more mundane members of its genus is that in all cases of infection, a small proportion of the worms colonize the central nervous system. The larvae encysted inside the CNS secrete a compound that leads to a marked increase in altruism. Victims of 833 are generally described as becoming kinder and notably more generous. Victims of the nematodes also gain the conviction that their tissues are extremely delicious and nutritious. Due to the increase in altruism, hosts will try to "help" others by feeding them pieces of their own flesh.

SCP-834 - Marked

SCP-834 is a set of four markers, each of which bears only a "The Factory" logo, and no other distinguishing characteristics. The only effect of these markers is that they write permanently on human skin, resulting in tattoo-like markings. Testing has proven the ink sinks below the surface of the skin, and is only removable via laser dermabrasion, or similar tattoo removal procedures. Six months after a drawing is made on a human body with 834, it will become animate and seek to attack the person it is drawn on.
  • Animated Tattoo: Approximately 6 months after a SCP-834 marker is used to draw something on a human body, the drawing animates and attacks the victim.
  • Chest Burster: A researcher used a SCP-834 marker to draw reptilian scales on their chest. Six months later, their internal organs were converted into a reptile-like monster and burst out of their chest.
  • Logical Weakness: The things that are created by a SCP-834 marker's ink can be destroyed by water (or water-containing substances like blood) because the ink that creates them is water-soluble.

SCP-835 - Expunged Data Released

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flbalanus_new.jpg
A captured image of 835's exterior.
SCP-835 is a large mass of coral-like polyps. Individual polyps are larger than any known species of coral, growing to more than one meter in diameter in some cases. The central mass is roughly oval-shaped, with a very large polyp at each "end". 835 is incapable of locomotion, appearing to anchor itself with large tentacles projected from its polyps. These tentacles are also used in feeding, are coated with a sticky adhesive substance, and are strong enough to damage plate steel. 835 also grows at a very accelerated rate, capable of adding 50 pounds of mass every day. 835 emits a large mass of semi-liquid waste material several times a day from its polyps. This mass also houses several viruses, bacteria, and parasites, many of which have been found only within 835. Coupled with its extremely hard external "shell", 835 presents a major obstacle in neutralization. Any force capable of "cracking" it open would also cause the waste inside to spread, causing a high risk of infection.
  • And I Must Scream: The fate of the victims "consumed" by SCP-835. The uncensored after-action report has the agents encountering screaming faces inside begging to be killed.
  • Ascended Fridge Horror: Confirms just how horrifying expunged and censored content can be. Makes more of its own once one realizes that their choosing this of all entries to un-censor implies that this is the least worst stuff.
  • Body Horror: Vertebrates mutate into another instance of SCP-835 when they contact 835-I5. A symptom was the formation of polyps on the skin.
  • Boom, Headshot!: The writer of the after-action report emptied her gun's magazine into the face of an infected human. It barely flinched.
  • Censor Box: Averted. You can read everything expunged or redacted in the article.
  • Combat Tentacles: SCP-835 has tentacles that it uses to grab victims and pull them into itself for conversion.
  • Evil Is Visceral: 835 is violently hazardous to human life, and it's a mass of flesh, tentacles, teeth, and bone, which are all human tissue. The creature actually forms its body from the people it consumes, and can also create new instances of itself by infecting people. Said mutated people try to infect other humans violently and forcefully. There's a very good reason 835 is Keter-class.
  • Forced Transformation: It can turn you into another instance of itself.
  • Rape as Drama: Subverted; the writer of the after-action report had only her bare skin touched by her partner's tentacles. Double-subverted, as that was enough to infect her with 835-I5.
  • Retcon: Related to the above mentioned Rape as Drama. The original article had the same after-action report detailing a Near-Rape Experience. The expunged information revealed it was more than near and the hole it made in the suit went unnoticed by others, with the writer hoping she had remained uninfected. Now it's merely near rape and contamination is caused by a small cut in the wrist of the suit. As with the former version, symptoms manifest at the end of the incubation period and she mutates.
  • Samus Is a Girl: One of the smaller surprises revealed in the unexpunged version is that the operative writing the after-action report is female. This somewhat alters the implications of her interactions with the rookie trapped inside 835 with her.
  • Sex Is Evil: 835's main biological function is to attempt reproduction. Pretty much its entire body system is optimized to infect people. The results are grade-A horror petrol.
  • Spawn Broodling: People infected by 835 turn into miniature versions of it and immediately and violently try to infect others. Yes, they become rape zombies.
  • Starfish Alien: Borderline Eldritch Abomination.
  • The Virus: The bacterium 835-I5 inside it, which it uses to mutate vertebrates for reproduction.
  • Was Once a Man: SCP-835 is made up of grotesquely mutated human tissue. All of it is once human. ALL OF IT. The main Wham Line of the story hinges on this trope being completely expunged in the censored version.

SCP-836 - Structural Cancer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/building.jpg
An 836-infected building.
SCP-836 is a condition that occurs within clay, bricks, or concrete, though secondary propagation can affect most known structural materials. Should 836 come into contact with live wiring, it enters a growth stage, which initially manifests in what appears to be a metallic mesh growing on the surface of the deformation and connecting to the wiring. The deformations often superficially mimic the surrounding environment at this point, resulting in an external resemblance to structural features. Once 836 specimens come into contact with a source of flowing water, they tend to enter a proliferation stage. At this point, outer layers of the deformation crumble and enter the water flow. On first contact with most solids, a growth similar to initial phase will occur. In this manner, 836 is able to propagate rapidly.

SCP-837 - Multiplying Clay

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clay_81.jpg
A block of 837.
SCP-837 is a mass of brown clay that neither releases nor absorbs moisture. Exposures to heat or water have not materially altered the clay's composition, retaining its level of ductility, malleability, and texture. 837 also demonstrates unusual reactions when pieces of it are separated and combined. When combined, the resulting quantity is both larger and heavier than individual pieces. When separated, the resulting quantities are much smaller and lighter than they should be.

SCP-838 - The Dream Job

SCP-838 is a series of job ads appearing in newspapers printed in Chicago, as well as the unknown agency that publishes them. The job offered varies between instances, and has included positions in accounting, management, and janitorial work, among others. The are entirely mundane, but will produce anomalous properties once responded to. Should a person who has responded to 838 fall asleep, they immediately enter REM sleep. Upon awakening, the affected individuals report experiencing extremely vivid dreams of attending an interview for the advertised job, in a large windowless office building at a company known as Pellus, Inc. Subjects deemed qualified are offered a job. Anyone hired by Pellus, Inc. is to be considered SCP-838-1. 838-1 will continue to experience dreams of working in an office building for said company, where they recieve payment in the form of enjoyable and pleasant dreams.

SCP-839 - Candied Worms

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp839.png
A single instance of 839.
SCP-839 is a species of worm composed of sugar, flavoring, and coloring. A microscopic label stating "CANDIED WORM" is found near the posterior of an indivdual worm, followed by a smaller label stating the worm's "flavor". When 839 is ingested by a mammal, it will burrow through the stomach lining towards a specialized organ. The choice of organ appears to be dependent on the "flavor" of the consumed worm. The worm will then attach itself to the organ and slowly ingest it. While the organ is absorbed, 839 will change in form and chemical composition, to match the organ. The worm does not act as a perfect replacement, and various side effects may occur as a result.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: The worms are made of sugar, coloring, and flavoring, but are somehow alive.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: They're worms that are made up of sugar, flavor, and coloring.
  • Eye Scream: The Green-flavor worm will slowly eat one of the eater's eyes and replace it.
  • Hallucinations: The Green-flavor worm (which replaces one of the eater's eyes) causes mild hallucinations.
  • Kill and Replace: Or rather "Eat and Replace", since if one of the worms is eaten by any mammal, it will eat an organ and replace it; the organ replaced depends on the flavor of the worm.
  • Rainbow Motif: SCP-839 are candy worms that, when eaten, replace one of the body's organs. The worms come in different colors: red ♥, orange (liver), yellow (stomach), green (one eye), blue (one kidney), and purple (one lung). Indigo is replaced by pink (brain).

SCP-840 - Drain Feeder

SCP-840 is a species of amoeba that thrives in dark, damp environments, particularly choosing pipes and drainage systems. Under the correct circumstances, 840 will form a unique symbiotic relationship, "fusing" together by secreting an extremely viscous mucus. Fused colonies are capable of replicating many functions of animal tissues, particularly those of vital organs.

SCP-841 - Reverse Mirror Voodoo Doll Stick Puppet

SCP-841 is a wooden puppet approximating a human being, crudely composed of 14 pieces of peeled and unworked wood from the mountain white birch held together with twine at the major joints. Upon being grasped or manipulated by a human, 841 will "imprint" upon said human, bending into a configuration which mirrors the human's position as closely as possible. The puppet and the subject will then mirror each other's movements, and any force applied to the figure while active will override the subject's own joints to continue mimicking 841.

SCP-842 - Operations Table

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp_842.png
The operating table on discovery.
SCP-842 is a dilapidated antique operating table capable of remote viewing and surveillance. 842 does not display any anomalous properties until a living human lays face up on it. Once the subject is in position, they are completely immobilized from the neck down, and are henceforth designated SCP-842-1. As long as 842-1 remains alive, they cannot be removed from the table. Remote viewing begins when a human touches 842 while "thinking" about the area he wishes to see. Objects are three dimensionally rendered on 842-1 by the near instantaneous alteration of the subject's body.

SCP-843 - "Cow Seeds"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/843.jpg
A mature instance of 843.
SCP-843 are seeds resembling those of the lima bean, painted white with black spots to resemble a typical Holstein cattle's coat. The seeds themselves are harmless, but when planted, SCP-843-2 will sprout within 5 days. 843-2 are creatures similar to a typical Holstein cattle, save that they are composed entirely of an unknown variety of plant matter. At first, 843-2 appears as a young calf rooted to the soil it sprouted from. Anywhere between 5 and 10 days, the calf will uproot itself and begin to grow many times faster than the rate of a normal calf. After uprooting, 843-2 will grow increasingly aggressive, attacking staff on sight.

SCP-844 - Crybaby

SCP-844 is an animate mass of dust, human bones, and a red luminescent fungus. 844 appears to prefer to dwell in dark, warm areas with minimal human presence while not hunting or feeding. 844 is predatory and highly mobile, having demonstrated the ability to hide from assailants by moving across walls and ceilings. It has a particular method of hunting involving lure tactics. To hunt, 844 will attempt to lure a human target between the ages of six to twelve into a fairly secluded area, leaving a trail of red, viscous liquid that quickly coagulates into a semi-solid edible mass. 844 will then settle itself into a poorly-lit area, using a number of hooked barbs stored within its main mass to secure the victim into place. 844 will then use a variety of physical methods to incite the victim into screaming and crying for help. Individual who hear the cries will approach and investigate the scene, at which point 844 will attack. The attack is usually swift and painless, as the creature aims for the neck and head of the victim, before extracting and absorbing the bones of the victim into itself. 844 also takes great care to ensure that its lured victim stays alive and its wounds are non-fatal, so they can be re-used for further hunting.

SCP-845 - Liquid Polecat

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-846 - Robo-Dude

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-847 - The Mannequin

SCP-847 is a damaged female mannequin constructed of human hair and an unknown composite fibrous polymer that abrades and shatters similarly to porcelain. 847 is animate, and moves with erratic, stiff motions while shuddering to maintain balance. It demonstrates different behaviors depending on the genotypical sex and identified gender of nearby humans. When approached by males, 847 will act highly submissive toward them, even shattering parts of itself that it believes males find undesirable. Females approaching 847 will be attacked and sprayed with a liquidated resin similar to the mannequin's. This resin will spread across the victim's body and solidify, turning the victim into a similar, but non-mobile, mannequin. 847 will then take parts of the new mannequin to replace its damaged parts.
  • Extreme Doormat: It acts very submissive and docile towards males, allowing them to pose it in any way they want. This is also very apparent in the messages it scratches out:
    YOU CAN OWN ME
    YOU'RE MY MASTER
    WHATEVER YOU WANT
I CAN BE YOUNG FOR YOU
  • Human Resources: It will replace any shattered body parts with the parts of women who have been affected by its resin. Now combine that knowledge with the fact it was found in a human trafficking base with signs of human habitation but no one around.
  • Ms. Fanservice: In Pattern Z behavior, it prefers to wear clothing for young women that leaves ample skin exposure, and will adopt a pose that best showcases the chosen outfit.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Its message from 6/8/2001 reads "DON'T LEAVE ME".
  • Self-Harm: It'll shatter any parts of itself that a man who spends time with it finds undesirable or outdated.
  • Taken for Granite: Any woman exposed to its plastination resin will have their body converted to a similar resin.
  • Would Hit a Girl: It attacks women in order to replace any missing body parts.

SCP-848 - Interdimensional Spider Web

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp848.jpg
A portion of 848-2.
SCP-848 is a colony of golden silk orb-weavers which are approximately 15% larger and significantly stronger and faster than normal specimens, though they do not show hostility to humans. SCP-848-2 is the web created by 848, which can often reach enormous sizes, usually 5 meters or more. The silk used in the web is somewhat stronger than is normal orb-weavers, but appears normal in composition. Anomalous objects are periodically discovered ensnared in 848-2 with no plausible explaination for their origin. The frequency of these occurrences varies greatly, but it typically occurs from once per week to a dozen in one day. Recorded objects found in 848-2 have included various flying insects, scraps of inanimate objects, paper and plant detritus, and several unidentified organisms that quickly asphyxiated when exposed to oxygen. It is believed that 848-2 is able to "catch" objects from extraterrestrial or extradimensional locations, which instances of 848 are able to feed on.

SCP-849 - A Perfect Day

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scpsensorydeprivation_new.png
849 awaiting a subject.
SCP-849 is a sensory deprivation chamber which measures 3m x 4m, is white in color, and is filled with an opaque, grey liquid. When touched by a human subject, this liquid instantly transports them and any items physically attached to them to a location designated SCP-849-1. 849-1 takes the form of the subject's hometown, or a location the subject considers "home". This location is populated by civilian entities taking the form of individuals the subject is familiar with. For the first 17 hours of being within 849-1, the subject will experience an ordinary day, with the exception that every situation the subject finds themselves in will be resolved positively through apparent luck. After 17 hours have passed, the quality of the imitation will begin to rapidly degrade and breakdown, ending with the subject being ejected from 849-1 after 24 hours.

SCP-850 - School of Fish

SCP-850 is a spatial anomaly that externally appears as a school of fish closely resembling herring, in appearance and genetics. The area existing within the school bends heavily, and the internal area is far larger than the external area. The exact area of this bent portion of space is unknown, but has proven to have a radius greater than 50 kilometers. It has been observed that in the deeper layers of 850, the fish seem to become increasingly different from Clupea harengus. Though the specimens in the outer swarm depend primarily upon external creatures for food, the varied species further in seem to prey on each other. Despite this, all fish in the school work as one unit. Due to the sheer size of 850, this typically provides enough force to kill predators or destroy a barrier.

SCP-851 - Lullabugs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/851.jpg
A swarm of 851.
SCP-851 is a colony of insects similar in appearance to Eciton burchellii. 851 lure in prey by creating "hills" in an obtrusive, vertical manner, reaching approximately 1 to 2m in height. If an endothermic organism enters a 3m radius of one of these hills, it will burrow in a straight line towards the organism. Once 851 reaches the organism, it will emit a high-pitched noise found to be elements of speech, meant for luring the organism to sleep. Mammals and birds are highly affected by the noise and show signs of heavy sedation. 851 will then consume the organism in its entirety.

SCP-852 - Lunar Anomaly

SCP-852 is a steel and brass vehicle, strongly reminiscent of a bathyscaphe. The upper hull of the artifact has twelve "masts" affixed to it with a length of 9.6 meters, respetively set in two regular hexagonal patterns on the top and bottom of the upper hull. Each mast has a device on the end that projects a "bubble" which warps space around it in a way that does not match current spacetime theories. The vehicle also houses SCP-852-2, the mummified corpse of a Caucasian male wearing a pressure suit of primitive manufacture.

SCP-853 - Weather Preserves

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/redjar.jpg
A jar of 853 labelled "Clear Blue Sky".
SCP-853 is a collection of sealed jars of various sizes and makes. Each jar is labeled with both a year and a description of a weather pattern, and contains a differently colored substance with a visually-determined viscosity similar to gelatin. When an instance of 853 is opened, the contents within begin to violently sublimate and vanish completely within 12 seconds. Between 7 minutes and 22 hours later, a weather system matching the one described on the label will manifest at the site its jar was opened, regardless of the original or normal weather systems for that area.

SCP-854 - Dream Bridge

SCP-854 is an arch formation eroded from sandstone, locally known as the "Dream Bridge". Despite its precarious appearance, it is stable enough to support over 400kg without difficulty. A single pictogram in an unknown language adorns the base of the structure, but it is otherwise naturally formed. The arch has no observable anomalous properties unless the top is traversed from East to West. Living animals and humans crossing from West to East vanish at the midpoint of the structure. No organism that has disappeared has ever been recovered. Contact with the arch is necessary for this phenomenon, as walking under or around the formation, birds flying above it in the same direction experience no effects, and nonliving items are able to cross without interruption.

SCP-855 - The Film Hall

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp855_new.png
855 in its regular appearance.
SCP-855 is a lecture hall equipped to seat 100 people. A reinforced skylight on the ceiling allows the entry of natural light. Each month, 855 will redecorate itself and temporarily develop anomalous properties, seemingly themed after various genres of film. This continues for the entirety of the month, and has taken the form of hallucinations, mind-altering effects, and the manifstation of entities.
  • Bigger on the Inside: While the Hall was in Surrealism mode, it turned into a room which "stretched on for miles".
  • Hate Plague: The Hall caused this in the researchers when in Western and Drama mode.
  • Immune to Bullets: While the Hall was in Horror Film mode, a killer from a Slasher Movie emerged and attacked the guards, who reported that bullets had little effect on him.
  • Slasher Movie: The Hall can enter many different Genre modes, including that of a horror film.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Numerous explosions were reported while the Hall was in Action mode.

SCP-856 - Leopotamus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/waterlion.jpg
856 bursting from the river.
SCP-856 is an entity that inhabits a river in southern Sudan. If a human being comes into contact with the river's water, 856 appears virtually instantaneously and will attempt to attack them. 856 appears visually identical to an adult male lion, and seems by all evidence to be bound to the river, as it has rarely been witnessed extending itself out of the water or beyond the banks by more than 1.5 meters. Factors that incite the creature to attack appear to be variable, but no amount of protective clothing appears to prevent 856 from sensing the contact of humans with the river. Objects placed in contact with the water by human beings have likewise provoked attacks, save for certain instances conducted with extreme care. Fauna which come into contact with the river generally do not incite attacks from 856.

SCP-857 - Human-Based Ecosystem

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rainforestscp.jpg
A view of 857's canopy.
SCP-857 is a section of the Amazon Rainforest measuring one square kilometer. While plants native to the region grow normally in this area, animals appear to instinctively avoid it. 857 is populated entirely by SCP-857-1, human organs and body parts capable of ambulation and basic thought. While the source of these specimens is currently unknown, 857-1 are non-hostile towards humans. The mobile body parts appear to have been crudely altered to allow for movement and consumption of food. Most specimens do not possess a working mouth, but a large artificial orifice in the flesh that superficially resembles a mouth. The method by which specimens of 857-1 digest food is currently unknown. Although 857-1 are naturally incapable of reproduction, no decrease in the number of observed specimens has been noted.

SCP-858 - Gravity's Rainbow

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/irid_clouds1.jpg
A cloud formation affected by 858.
SCP-858 is a migrating, noctilucent cloud formation which affects cirrus formations beneath it. The presence of 858 can be easily identified by the iridescent refraction within the cirrus formations. Once affected, formations will descend until precipitation ensues. Contact with precipitation from affected clouds will immediately and permanently alter solid matter on contact. While nonreactive with gasses and liquids, solid objects and organisms are molecularly altered so that they are repelled by, rather than attracted to, gravitational force. Barring sufficiently sturdy objects secured to sufficiently massive objects embedded or otherwise secured to the Earth's surface, the affected object accelerates away from the Earth's surface at 9.8m/s2. Upon contact with 858 itself, affected objects vanish.
  • Gravity Screw: An inversion: any solid object that comes into contact with rain from clouds affected by the SCP is repelled by gravity, rather than being attracted by it.

SCP-859 - Arachnophobic Orb

SCP-859 is a spherical mass of unidentified material approximately 11cm in diameter. 859 is soft to the touch, and approximates the stickiness of spider webbing, as well as being covered in multiple layers of said webbing which do not come off. When any living human places their hand on 859, the subject immediately gains acute arachnophobia, as well as severe allergic reactions to any kind of spider venom.

SCP-860 - Blue Key

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bluekey2.png
860 on a table.
SCP-860 is a dark blue key of unremarkable shape. At seemingly random intervals of time, a series of numbers, later found to be UTM coordinates, will appear on the key's blade. 860 can fit in any door lock located in the area of the given coordinates, and will function identically to the correct key for that lock. When used to unlock and open a door, 860 will ensure that the door does not lead to its usual destination, instead opening into a small forest clearing centered on an 80cm wide footpath, designated SCP-860-1. Every observation of this grove has noted the presence of blue-colored mist and hostile predators.
  • Easter Egg: Listen to the sound files. I SEE YOU!
  • Enchanted Forest: A much creepier example than normal.
  • Fog of Doom: The forest is shrouded in blue fog. It turns red during the fourth expedition.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: A pair of eyes are briefly visible through the fog at the end of the fourth expedition.
  • Year Inside, Hour Outside: A 27 year old female spent 7 months inside the blue forest and emerged a very old woman, indicating that time passed faster than normal inside it.

SCP-861 - A Fallen Angel

SCP-861 is a 1170L mass of liquid superficially resembling water, with a fixed temperature of 27 degrees Centigrade. Any amount of the material forcibly displaced from the central mass will dissipate, and 861 will generate an equal amount of new material to replace this loss. 861 continuously emits a flame of variable color, generally violet or indigo. Human beings within a radius of roughly 30m surrounding 861 report hearing a continuous vocalization, producing a song in an unknown language. The vocalization is described by subjects as a vaguely human voice of indeterminate gender.

SCP-862 - Rats

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scprat_new.jpg
A specimen of 862-1.
SCP-862 is an area spanning ten square meters that possesses a sphere of influence which affects all materials. Upon arriving in 862, materials will begin to split into portions of 25 square centimeters. Over a period of time that varies depending on the consistency of the material, the affected portion will assume the shape and detail of a common rat. The affected portion will be dormant for a much shorter length of time before animating and assuming the behavior of a rat. Affected portions will hereafter be referred to as SCP-862-1.

SCP-863 - Patchwork Crabs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crabscp_new.png
A specimen of 863.
SCP-863 is a species of crab that are born without limbs. As they mature, the crabs will undergo a process in which they utilize the limbs of other organisms in lieu of their own. Specimens of 863 are highly territorial, and larger specimens can cause severe injuries or death when provoked. Groups of 863 have, on occasion, been observed to actively hunt for other organisms to remove limbs from. Larger specimens will simply utilize these organisms wholesale, as their limbs would not be suitable for specimens of that size.
  • Appendage Assimilation: The title crabs can take a limb from a dead creature, stick it in a slot in their body, and use the limb as if it were their own.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: These crabs can grow so large that they can use an entire human body as a replacement arm and use human legs to walk around on.

SCP-864 - Efficient Washbasin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/864_new.jpg
A tentacle extending from 864.
SCP-864 is a 20cm tall washbasin with a 10cm radius composed of red metal. The words "Made in China" and "Cherry Imperial Goff Applications" are imprinted on the bottom of the object with black ink, but no company of that name is found anywhere in China. When 864 contains at least 200 ml of water, it will manifest an instance of SCP-864-1, appendages which emerge from 864 and will attempt to seize a human subject within their reach, violently attempting to drag them into 864.
  • Combat Tentacles: When filled with water, SCP-864 can generate tentacles that can grab nearby people.
  • Power Pincers: When filled with water, SCP-864 can generate large (70 centimeter long) pincers that can grasp and try to drown anyone close by.

SCP-865 - The Gentleman's Lash

SCP-865 is a handgun of unknown make that bears no identifying marks, though it superficially resembles an SIG Sauer P226 of the type manufactured after 1996. When fired, 865 produces a muffled sound similar to that made by a firearm with a suppressor attached, and a shell casing is ejected from the weapon while the bullet itself is not. When fired into the air, at inanimate objects, or at non-human animals, 865 presents no anomalous effects. When the gun is fired at a human being, the target immediately reacts as if the body part 865 was aimed at when fired were in intense pain. Subjects have also claimed experiencing detailed memories of suffering a severe accidental injury to the targeted body part, and will behave at all times as if the memory is factual, up to and including mimicry of conditions associated with paraplegia, amputation, infection, or brain damage.
  • Fake Memories: It causes these in the person that SCP-865 is fired at, and the person in question will even imitate conditions such as brain damage and paraplegia.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: It appears to remove traumatic memories in a person if they use it several times.

SCP-866 - Supercomputer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp866.jpg
The central control of 866.
SCP-866 is a supercomputer constructed sometime in the 2000s. Its primary anomalous property is the capability of running computation programs with far more processing power than the machine physically has available. All attempts to determine the reason for this behavior have failed, as they have caused employees of the university 866 was discovered in to disappear.

SCP-867 - Blood Spruce

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp867.jpg
A specimen of 867 among regular spruces.
SCP-867 is a species of coniferous tree visually similar to the blue spruce, with the exception of its distinctive red coloration and a complete lack of seed cones at any stage in its life. 867's leaves are hollow structures similar to hypodermic needles, each containing a single long, thin seed and a tiny gas pocket at the base of the leaf. When a living animal brushes against the leaves, the gas pocket expels and injects the seed into the skin of the animal, using a mechanism similar to that of an auto-injector. The seeds can lay dormant in the skin of the animal for up to two weeks, after which they begin to grow, extending tendrils throughout the animal's circulatory system. This growth causes excruciating pain within the animal, can last for up to 24 hours, and invariably ends with the animal's death.
  • Chest Burster: After an SCP-867 seed is injected into a living creature's body, it grows throughout the creature's circulatory system, eventually killing it. SCP-867 then bursts out of the victim's body and grows to full size, consuming the body as it does so.
  • Face Full of Alien Wing-Wong: SCP-867's leaves act like hypodermic needles, injecting a seed into any creature that brushes up against it.

SCP-868 - Mnemonic Meme

SCP-868 is a memetic phenomenon resulting from a memory improvement therapy designed by Prometheus Labs, Inc.Stage one of infection typically includes a significantly improved short-term memory, with subjects typically being able to clearly remember events and information for 80% longer than they would on average. Stage two effects of becomes apparent roughly five weeks after initial infection. Prior to this, subjects are frequently able to remember, with near-perfect accuracy, any event or information received after contracting 868, as well as information from several days before. Over the course of between one and five days, this effect extends to encompass the subject’s entire lifespan.

SCP-869 - Summer of '48

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp_869.png
Historic Pleasure Pier in the 1940s.
SCP-869 is a service bridge attached to the Historic Pleasure Pier, an amusement park located on a pier extending out over the ocean. 869 was built concurrent to the construction of the park itself, a recreation of an earlier pier in the late 1940s, until it was demolished after sustaining severe damages from a hurricaine. 869's anomalous properties manifest whenever Historic Pleasure Pier is open for business and none of its attractions are closed. When these conditions are met, persons crossing 869 from the landward side to the pier on foot or in a vehicle will not arrive at the pier and lose visual contact with land and pier-based observers at approximately the halfway point between the bridge's termini. The area that these subjects arrive in, based on forensic analysis of photographs taken by survey teams, is physically identical to the original Historic Pleasure Pier, constructed on the site as it existed in the summer of 1948. Interviews with civilians found within the anomaly, as well as evidence recovered in the form of calendars and newspapers indicate that the date within the anomaly is Saturday, July 24th, 1948. Surveys have indicated that local time within the anomaly is consistent with the time of day outside it, and events within the anomaly occur consistently in the same manner, at the same time, as during all previous observations, except when survey team members are directly involved.

SCP-870 - The Maybe There Monsters

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scpinvisible.jpg
An illustration of one appearance taken by 870.
SCP-870 is a species of creature with undetermined proportions and appearances. For unknown reasons, instances of 870 can only be perceived by humans who are currently suffering from schizophrenia. This often results in specimens being dismissed as hallucinations. Specimens of 870 are omnivorous, and seem to eat nearly all kinds of plants and meat, but will typically eat in secluded areas. 870 are highly predatory, and will typically stalk their prey for months or even years without eating. It is unknown how they manage to last this time without succumbing to malnutrition. Eventually, at a seemingly random time when their prey is alone or in a secluded area, 870 will kill and swallow their prey whole.
  • Creepy Centipedes: One of the forms that SCP-870 has been seen as is a centipede with human arms instead of legs.
  • Invisible to Normals: The creatures known as SCP-870 can only be seen by people with schizophrenia. Each schizophrenic person who looks at a SCP-870 sees something different (a spider with too many legs, a giant ant with a human face, etc.).
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: One of the forms that SCP-870 appears as when looked at by a schizophrenic is an alligator with spider legs and three eyes.
  • You Cannot Grasp the True Form: Schizophrenics can see SCP-870 instances, but their description is inconsistent. A Foundation doctor even hypothesize that even they aren't seeing the whole picture, just slightly clearer than normal people.

SCP-871 - Self-Replacing Cake

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cake_8.jpg
A single 871 cake.
SCP-871 is a collection of 237 cakes that vary widely in appearance and size, covering the entire range of foods described by humans as "cake". When any one of the cakes is consumed by a human, it is replaced approximately 24 hours afterward with an identical cake. 871's danger originates in the consequences of an instance not being eaten. Any instance of 871 which is not consumed will cause a new cake to be created in its vicinity after 24 hours. As there is no known mechanism for halting the replication, uncontained instances could replicate exponentially, to the point that an uncontrolled outbreak originating from a single instance would render the earth uninhabitable within an estimated 80 days.
  • Apocalypse How: Instances are not properly eaten, will duplicate at the end of the day. If left alone they will cause the entire world to be suffocated by cakes within 80 days.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: The containment procedures involve having D-Class being forced to eat these cakes, by order of termination.
  • Death Is Cheap: Any SCP-871 instance that is eaten by a human will respawn itself after approximately 24 hours. If it's damaged or destroyed by any other means apart from a human eating it, it'll immediately replace itself.
  • Happy Fun Ball: SCP-871 instances resemble various forms of delicious cake. Sounds harmless, but they also replicate at the end of a 24 hour period if not eaten by a human, meaning that even one cake has the potential to cause a Grey Goo cakepocalypse scenario. As such, SCP-871 is considered Keter-Class.
  • I Was Told There Would Be Cake: Played with. D-Class are instructed to eat the cake upon threat of termination. The reward is being able to eat cake, and averting a threat of cakepocalypse.
  • Grey Goo: If a cake is not properly eaten within 24 hours, it will duplicate. If left alone, it is calculated that it will end the world in 80 days.
  • No Fair Cheating: Each cake must be consumed by a human in order to have it count as "eaten for the day". If it's destroyed by any other method such as burning or consumption by a non-human animal, it will replace itself immediately and will not be counted as "eaten for the day".
  • Self-Duplication: If any instance of SCP-871 is not properly eaten at the end of a 24 hour schedule, it will duplicate itself.

SCP-872 - The Tattered Farmer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scpscarecrow_new.jpg
872 on its post.
SCP-872 is an aged scarecrow measuring 3 meters tall and 10 centimeters wide. When animals considered livestock enter an area within 1.5 km of the scarecrow, they are immediately affected by its anomalous properties. Affected animals are extremely hostile to humans and will viciously assault any who approach them. They have also been observed to behave as if in an automated farm environment, harvesting eggs, wool, and meat from their own kind. Affected animals immediately enter a vegetative state when removed from 872's area of influence, which can only be reversed when said animals are returned to the scarecrow.
  • Scary Scarecrows: SCP-872 is a scarecrow that, when any type of farm animal gets as close as 1.5 km, become insatiably hostile to any human in range. When humans are not present, they will behave as though they were in an automated farm environment; chickens lay their eggs out in he open, sheep will try to sheer each other and cows kill and debone one of their own.

SCP-873 - Russian Crystal Ball

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/theball2.jpg
SCP-873.
SCP-873 is a transparent spherical object 138mm across, with a detectable mass of 5.3kg. Despite its transparency, only 50% of photons entering the sphere will emerge within 873, while a variable percentage of those photons emerge originate from the object itself. The photons emerging from 873 appear to originate from the light striking an identical object displaced in both time and space. While the light emitted shows no anomalous properties itself, the images provided are presented in reverse chronological order, and portray a series of events involving a member of a doctor in the court of Tsar Alexander I.

SCP-874 - Abyssal Fluid

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/874_3.jpg
A pool of 874.
SCP-874 is a black, largely unreflective fluid with a viscosity and a reflectivity less than a tenth of that of water. When it approaches a static depth of 2cm, the fluid functions as a portal to a seemingly infinite space. Audio readings and eyewitnesses have reported the sound of the distant grinding of metal and stone from this portal. An object propelled through the portal can travel approximately 3000km before being totally obscured by the very light fog that fills the abyss. Objects partially lowered into the surface cannot be retrieved by any effort less than the recommended level of horsepower. Later experiments have revealed that objects left in 874 for more than five minutes are quickly worn away by unseen forces.

SCP-875 - War Criminals

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/875.jpg
A portion of 875.
SCP-875 is an underground pyramid that holds no existing records from the period it was constructed, although evidence suggests that 875 was man-made. The outer layer of 875 is made of sandstone, but possesses an internal layer composed of an as-yet unknown alloy. The first floor, accessible through the entrance tunnel, possesses the layout of a maze or labyrinth. Mechanisms contained within the floor and walls of the maze alter the configuration of this floor every 48 hours. Several pressure plates and hidden levers are capable of opening certain sections of the maze and releasing swarms of SCP-875-1, small flying insect-like creatures approximately 6 centimeters in length and 3 grams in mass. Their appearance bears no similarity to any known species, suggesting they possess extraterrestrial origins. 875-1 possess a highly acidic sting that has been observed to cause severe damage to the nerves and tendons. Due to their swarming behavior, 875-1 attacks can and have resulted in complete liquefaction of the limbs.
  • Ancient Astronauts: The pictures inside the SCP-875 pyramid indicate that the SCP-875-1 Insectoid Aliens taught the ancient Egyptians how to build the Pyramids.
  • Insectoid Aliens: SCP-875-1 are flying insects that are different from any known Earthly species, indicating that they are from another world. The large creatures in the cryogenic stasis chambers are also insectoid in nature and are presumably from the same source.
  • Poison Is Corrosive: SCP-875-1 are small flying insects about six centimeters long. They have a sting which injects a venom that is highly acidic and does serious damage to tendons and nerves.

SCP-876 - Element-Switching Pills

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_l4ti2gwrja1qz6f9yo1_500.jpg
876 capsules.
SCP-876 are pill bottles which are instantly able to revert to their usual forms in seconds when damaged, relabeled, or otherwise altered. If any container becomes empty, a single capsule pill will appear inside of it. The pill will be two different colors, but the coloration is the same for each bottle. When more than one pill is swallowed, an unknown procedure will instantaneously convert all atoms of a particular element in the user's body to that of another, determined by the colors of the swallowed pills and the order they were swallowed. Catastorphic reactions commonly follow these atomic swaps.

SCP-877 - University Microchips

SCP-877 is a set of microchips acquired from the cerebral cortices of assorted mammals. The microchips are unmarked with the exception of stamps only readable via electron microscope, which read "ALEXYLVA UNIVERSITY BIOLOGY DEPT," followed by "GENERATION" and a number. The chips are capable of interfacing with and controlling the motor functions of their host creatures, though they will usually allow the animals' biological instincts to carry out routine affairs. 877 has primarily been noted to take over its host to propagate itself. A host animal will approach another animal and immobilize it by the most expedient means available to it. The host will bite the creature somewhere on the head, making blood contact between the specimens. The original host will release the animal after ten minutes. Within twenty-four hours, a new copy of 877 will emerge in the new host.

SCP-878 - The Actor

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dagger_79.jpg
SCP-878-2.
SCP-878 is an actor who frequently reappears on the set of various television shows, films, or theatrical performances during production. and a prop knife closely resembling a 6th century iron dagger from the [REDACTED] dynasty period in [REDACTED] (classified as SCP-878-2). After 878's appearance, at some point throughout the course of the plot, the character played by 878 will find themself in a situation that brings them into conflict with a more important character. 878 will beat their opponent mercilessly, far beyond both what is necessary to disable the character and beyond the level of brutality typically expected from the film or show in question. Once the other character stands for the last time, 878 will strike the other character with the back of their left hand, leaving them sprawled on an elevated surface. They will then remove SCP-878-2, a prop knife closely resembling a 6th century iron dagger, from an unknown location, which they will fully plunge into the other character's heart. From this point on, the actor who was "killed" (identified as SCP-878-3) will begin to display behavioral abnormalities uncharacteristic of their former personality. This will begin with minor sex scandals and drug addiction, degenerating within a matter of weeks into paranoia and homicidal tendencies.

SCP-879 - Colonial Cetacean

SCP-879 is an oceanic mammal that bears a strong resemblance to a whale. The creature has smooth skin, primarily black with a white underbelly, and moves by means of a fluked tail and ten sets of flippers. 879 exudes a powerful pheromone from its epidermal oils, which induces severe mind-altering effects in humans over a range of approximately 100 meters, which can further spread through physical contact. Those exposed to this pheromone will seek out 879 with single-minded determination, ignoring all but the strongest of outside stimuli. Upon encountering 879, subjects will strip themselves of clothing and make physical contact with the entity. This results in victims being absorbed into 879's mass, gradually reduced to vestigal masses of organs linked to the creature.

SCP-880 - Trapped Winter

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4689172910_d464e1653d.jpg
880 covered in its anomalous snow.
SCP-880 is a town in Quebec which exhibits several abnormal characteristics, the most notable what appears to be a near constant blizzard. Analysis of this event has determined 880 experiences no actual snowfall, but intense winds have produced various squalls causing the illusion of a blizzard. Despite the potential of snow drifts within 880, no level of snow deeper than 16 cm has been found within the town or in the surrounding area. Anything entering 880 during a storm or is present when a storm begins has so far proven to be irrevocably lost.

SCP-881 - Little People

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/881.jpg
A section of 881.
SCP-881 is a community formed from 9891 humans, animals, and instances of plant life that were subject to a spatio-physical transformation during the containment and destruction of another SCP. Exposure to the transformation altered the inhabitants of 881 to be shrunken to a fraction of their former size. The scale varies from subject to subject, but the largest human is roughly 15cm tall and the smallest 2.5mm tall. The physical conditions that allow for 881's continued existence allow the instances to breathe regular air, metabolize regular or differently-scaled portions of food and water, and otherwise interact with matter in different scales. The 881 instances can communicate verbally, though the smallest instances are nearly inaudible to anyone but themselves.
  • An Aesop: Dr. Dammer learns the hard way not to be needlessly cruel to SCPs.
  • Eye Scream: The miniaturized human beings managed to escape confinement and infiltrate Dr. Dammer's body. The end of his That Was the Last Entry is "whsts in my eye" and a string of random letters, indicating pain and a loss of control due to their attacking his eye from the inside.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: SCP-881 is 9,891 humans, animals, and plants shrunk down to tiny size by the side effects of the destruction of another SCP. They initially ranged from 2 millimeters to 15 centimeters high, but over time, some were created that were even smaller.

SCP-882 - A Machine

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gears2.jpg
A closeup of 882.
SCP-882 is a random assembly of gears, cables, pulleys, screws, and belts made of an amalgam of various metals. Any metal that touches the object will become permanently affixed and assimilate into it over a period of days becomes a new part of the object. Though organic matter remains unaffected, humans in the vicinity of the object develop auditory hallucinations while near the object, mainly the sound of gears grinding and clicking. The sound intensifies for prolonged periods of exposure, and is abated only by throwing a metallic object into 882. Subjects in advanced states of this psychosis have been known to throw themselves into the object, resulting in almost instant death by crushing. The body is often drawn in, and is rendered impossible to recover.

SCP-883 - Extradimensional Beehive

SCP-883 is a fixed frame beehive contained in a wooden shed approximately 3m tall, 1m wide, and 2m deep. The interior of 883 appears to be much larger than the shed's outer dimensions, with honeycombs on the walls of the hive surround passages that extend for at least 8km from the entrance. The bees inside 883 do not match any known species, and those found further inside (over two kilometers) appear to be very different from normal honeybees. These bees are highly aggressive and possess a toxic sting that has failed to respond to any treatment administered so far.

SCP-884 - A Shaving Mirror

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/indian_ivory_mirror.jpg
SCP-884.
SCP-884 is a men’s shaving mirror made of glass and ivory, presumably constructed around 1914. 884 possesses a mild hallucinogenic quality, as subjects who have used it while shaving report an inability to perceive the removal of facial hair. This causes repeated attempts to shave areas of the face that have already been shaved, usually resulting in irritation and, in the case of one subject, the accidental severing of the carotid artery.

SCP-885 - Living Vacuum

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bubbles_3.jpg
An ultrasound image of 885.
SCP-885 is a creature of unknown composition that displaces all fluids within its perimeter, rendering it to be, for all intents and purposes, a total vacuum. 885's perimeter induces a state of pressure differentials, allowing it to manipulate differences in pressure to move itself through all known fluids and permeate through porous solids. 885 is attracted to living, breathing organisms. When it identifies prey through atmospheric vibrations it seeks to surround the creature. Once it has surrounded its prey, 885 will extracts all fluids and gasses still clinging to the prey's folds and/or pores via negative pressure, killing the prey via hypoxia and ebullism.

SCP-886 - Nanny

SCP-886 is a collective of mammals capable of cyclic asexual reproduction. The group consists of SCP-886-A, identical human females of Irish descent, and 'SCP-886-B, identical female domestic Irish goats. 886-A and 886-B develop and behave as normal for individuals of their species, and are completely ordinary outside their shared anomaly. At the age of two and a half years, each specimen of 886-B will spontaneously become pregnant with a single human infant. Infants born of 886-B are genetically identical to 886-A, and will develop as normal until the age of 15, wherein they themselves will become pregnant.

SCP-887 - Hypergraphia

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp887.jpg
887's former residence.
SCP-887 is a Russian man in his late forties who recently emerged from a 17-year coma. 887's left arm and the left side of his face are partially paralyzed, resulting in slurred speech, and he displays near-complete mental recuperation aside from extreme hypergraphia. 887 claims he was conscious for the entirety of his coma, receiving communications from an unknown source. He also claims that his hypergraphia is attributed to him writing down all that was told to him during this period. 887's written output includes text, drawings, mathematical equations, and engineering blueprints. When questioned about the contents of his work, he claims to have forgotten more than what's written down. 887 is also quite adamant about his writing, going as far as to write on the walls with his own blood if writing implements are unavailable.

SCP-888 - Memory Stones

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/quartzite_shoksha.jpg
SCP-888.
SCP-888 is a stone similar in composition to red quartzite, though it also contains trace amounts of an unidentified organic compound. The stone exhibits the capacity for large-scale storage within its molecular lattices, and exists in two distinct states, referred to as "empty" and "full". If a sapient creature makes skin contect with an empty sample of 888, the stone will remove a memory from the subject and store it inside itself, converting to the "full" state in the process. While the original memory is lost to the subject, if another subject touches the "full" stone, they experience the memory contained within firsthand.

SCP-889 - Hybridization

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sexfarm.jpg
The derelict 889.
SCP-889 is an abandoned cattle barn in Montana, surrounded by a series of farm buildings in disrepair. Within 889, a combination of male and female gametes from any two species of animal or plant will produce viable offspring. The process occurs through a novel rearrangement of chromosomes during fertilization. The combination of genes and traits in the resultant offspring conceived within the barn are generally split evenly between the male and female parents, though biological aspects such as body size, blood type, and homeostasis are necessarily parallel to the female. All hybrids produced are proven sterile, and there is a direct correlation between the genomic dissimilarity of the parents, as well as the lifespan and genetic fitness of the offspring.

SCP-890 - The Rocket Surgeon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/890_7.jpg
A closeup of 890's eyes during surgery.
SCP-890 is a Caucasian between 35 and 45 years of age. He is typically dressed in green surgical scrubs, wearing a surgical cap and mask at nearly all times. When given a set of standard medical tools, 890 is able to operate on machines as though they were composed of flesh. He appears to be capable of operating on any machine requiring a form of energy to operate, whether powered by clockwork, steam, or electricity. 890 displays an apparent apathy toward humans and other living creatures, stating he does not operate on "animals" because he is "a surgeon, not a veterinarian". During 890's operation, objects will transmutate into living tissue, including skin, bone, musculature, and organ systems, as well as blood and nervous tissue. This tissue may be removed and discarded, but will not revert to its original mechanical form.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality:
    • He sees machines as his patients and humans as essentially animals.
    • He "operated" on a pacemaker while it was still in its user. Not surprisingly, said user dies from being neglected. His response is that the operation was a success, while ignoring the expiring "mass of flesh".
  • I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: The reason he doesn't operate on humans is because he's "a doctor, not a vet".
  • Dr. Jerk: Aside from his disdain towards humans, when photographed with SCP-978, he was shown rolling his eyes and gesturing towards the door to his cell while the camera sat on his desk. On being shown the photo, he stated that he'd never be that rude to a patient, but "has no time for hypochondriacs".
  • Machine Empathy: He can "talk" to his "patients".
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: See above.
  • Misanthrope Supreme: Implied. He sees humans as nothing more than "animals" and refuses to operate on them.
  • No Name Given: Only the first letter of his first name is given ("W").
  • Techno Wizard: He can transform machines into organisms while performing surgery on them, and (if he's successful) they need time to "heal".

SCP-891 - California Field

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/strawberry20field_jj_001.jpg
891 filled with plants.
SCP-891 is a field in California where any plant that bears edible fruit is able to grow, regardless of soil or climate needs. Plants planted in 891 experience moderately accelerated growth and seem to require abnormally small amounts of water and sunlight. Fruits produced by plants inside 891 are larger than average and have been said to look delicious. Attempting to ingest any of these fruits, with the exception of apples, results in the consumption of the subject's internal organs. Autopsies have revealed that damage to internal organs is consistent with bite patterns made by subjects on fruit. Most subjects will continue consuming the fruit even after the initial bite, claiming it to be "delicious."

SCP-892 - Everyone's Spreadsheet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/892.jpg
892 turned off.
SCP-892 is an Amstrad 286 Personal Computer which runs a version of Microsoft Excel 92. The contents of the computer consist solely of SCP-892-1, a single .xls file titled "ESO%HF-V6.31.01". Each cell of 892-1 has been found to hold a string of information written in English. These cells and their contained strings are believed to correspond to a respective individual currently alive. The strings can contain information as mundane as what the individual ate for breakfast, their occupation, or their shoe size, to facts as personal as their first sexual encounter, a thought they had that morning, or their greatest phobias. The list is also found to be updated daily.

SCP-893 - Asexual

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thumb_fetus.jpg
893 as a fetus.
SCP-893 is a 39-year-old Hispanic former construction worker who demonstrates a form of regenerative properties. 893 claims that shortly after severing two fingers on his right hand during a work-related incident, he brought them back to his home and put them in ice, neglecting to visit a hospital. He says he observed his severed ring finger developing a clear fluid around its mass before taking on the form of what appeared to be a diminutive human fetus. The Foundation has discovered his anomalous ability manifests with any part of his body to be severed, each of which will turn into a fetus that will mature into a human-like entity with a life cycle 20 times faster than that of an average human.

SCP-894 - Speak No, Hear No, See No

SCP-894 is a collection of three small plastic monkeys, each designated SCP-894-1, -2, and -3, respectively. 894-1 is molded so that the monkey's hands are covering its mouth. 894-2 is shaped in such a way that the monkey's hands are covering its ears. 894-3 is shaped so that the monkey's hands are covering its eyes. When any living being within 5m of the monkeys makes visual contact with one of them, they are rendered incapable of vocalizing, hearing, or seeing for a period of 24 hours, depending on which monkey the subject observes.

SCP-895 - Camera Disruption

SCP-895 is an ornate oak coffin recovered from a mortuary after reports of unusual footage captured by surveillance equipment installed in the building. While 895 produces no anomalous effects when viewed directly, it causes strong disruptions in all surveillance equipment within 50m of the object. The disruptions appear similar to vivid, disturbing hallucinations, each with variable duration and regularity corresponding to the camera's proximity to the coffin. Footage of the coffin captured within 5 meters of it can cause severe psychological trauma and hysteria in most subjects.

SCP-896 - Online Role Playing Game

SCP-896 is known to the public as a popular online role playing game. The version of 896 utilized by the general public has no anomalous effects, as all abnormal effects are housed within the original source code, which has since been brought to Foundation custody. The game's effects manifest when a user creates an avatar which shares their exact first and last name. Once this occurs, the user is "imprinted" upon their avatar, and any changes to the avatar’s statistics will have a direct effect upon the user, allowing for the user's intelligence, charisma, agility, strength, stamina, and wisdom to be elevated. How this phenomenon occurs is not well understood, but the current hypothesis is 896 grants the user a powerful "mind over matter" control over their body and surroundings.
  • Dump Stat: The players avatars' stats reflect on them, and testing has five players focus on five different stats, to the initial exclusion of all others, as the page says:
D-896-a: Knight - character focus on stamina.
D-896-b: Berserker – character focus on strength.
D-896-c: Cleric – character focus on wisdom.
D-896-d: Warlock – character focus on intelligence.
D-896-e: Bard – character focus on charisma.
  • Immune to Bullets: One of the test subjects had his Stamina (constitution, resistance to injury, etc.) statistic increased so high that he became immune to bullets from standard issue firearms.
  • No Fair Cheating: The intelligence-focused player hacked the game and "vanished from containment".
Upon reviewing Warlock’s account information contained on SCP-896, researchers discovered a customer service notation simply stating “User has been banned for hacking.”
  • Rapid Aging: A researcher who played the game for less than 10 hours straight leveled up many times but then died. An autopsy showed severe arthritis, Alzheimer’s, a cataract, and several tumors, indicating death from old age.
  • Your Mind Makes It Real: Anyone who plays SCP-896 will have their real life attributes increase to same degree that their in-game attributes do. However, if one of a character's attributes rises too high above the others, the player's attributes decrease.

SCP-897 - Voodoo Organ Transplant

SCP-897 is a person of variable height, weight, and build, with indeterminate age, race, and gender. 897 claims to be an Estonian man said having died in a house fire, and is also effectively immortal. When one or more of 897's vital organs is compromised, usually as a result of trauma, disease-related injuries, or age-related wear and tear, the organ will spontaneously switch places with that of the human subject who is in closest physical proximity to 897 via teleportation. This saves 897's life, albeit at the expense of the subject (to whom the process is fatal or otherwise severely debilitating). This process is entirely involuntary and does not require 897 to be conscious in order to occur.

SCP-898 - Memetic Counter-Agent

SCP-898 is an artificial memetic disorder created by the Foundation, specifically for the purpose of serving as a biological defense mechanism against other memetic or mind-affecting anomalies. 898's development project was overseen by Dr. Grienko during its initial run, until official cancellation on December 22nd, 1995. Since any memetic compulsion, by definition, involves the inspiration of an idea within the subject's mind, Grienko theorized that the most obvious defense mechanism was another type of inspiration, one that could potentially create a compulsion powerful enough to overide the initial meme.

SCP-899 - Lost Children

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scp899_1.jpg
899 in the woods.
SCP-899 is a psychic and telekinetic phenomenon localized in a patch of forest in Rocky Mountain National Park. 899 results in the manifestation of groups of hostile phantom children. These children tend to be featureless, and it is usually difficult to determine if they possess genders or individual voices and behaviors. Travelers in the area have reported being pursued and harassed by the entities, who curse and throw rocks in an attempt to drive them out of the area. Failure to leave the area will result in increased aggressive behavior, culminating in a direct physical attack by the children. While chilrden in the vicinity of the entities remain unaltered, any adult who comes into physical contact with one of them will lose all detailed memories prior to the onset of puberty.

    900- 999

SCP-900 - City of the Sun

SCP-900 is an abandoned, partially submerged city located within the Pacific Ocean, approximately 300 km east of Indonesia's Helen Reef. An island measuring approx. 5km 2 is located at the center of 900, and is inhabited solely by SCP-900-1, a female humanoid clad in red robes. 900-1 speaks exclusively in a previously undiscovered language, which she has referred to as "Burbak", and claims to know everything regarding the history of the city. The area surrounding 900-1's island disrupts electronic devices and causes distortion in audio equipment.

SCP-901 - The Building on the Square

SCP-901 is a four-story neoclassically styled building which is impossible to enter through any method other than through the main entrance, SCP-901-1, a large mahogany double door of dimensions 5.2x4.5m. 901-1 opens into a large main hall which appears empty when viewed from the outside. The windows, although covered with a thick coating of dirt, also show that each room of 901 is empty. Observers have, on rare occasions, reported movement and "shadowy figures" through the windows, though none of these phenomena have been captured by recording devices as of writing.

SCP-902 - The Final Countdown

SCP-902 is a box roughly the size of a human head. The box continously emits what has been described as a "ticking" sound, and while it normally appears empty when opened, the ticking sound remains, as if the box itself is continuing counting down. Anyone who hears the ticking noise, or becomes aware of 902's existence through personal interaction or indirect exposure, becomes firmly convinced that the box is housing a horribly dangerous item that is counting down, and must be destroyed as soon as the countdown concludes.

SCP-903 - Tunnel of Infinite Possibility

SCP-903 is an empty, incomplete concrete tunnel that contains no piping, wiring, or utility equipment. The tunnel is housed in Site-19, connecting the Containment Wing with the Lambda Laboratory Wing. 903 contains an old rail system consisting of a single monorail that spans the entire length of the tunnel. If an item or organism is placed inside the monorail cart and sent through 903, the monorail will suddenly and inexplicably stop in the center of the tunnel. After approximately fifteen seconds, the monorail cart will reactivate, containing a new item and an elaborately handwritten note upon return. These replacement items are universally anomalous in nature, but each instance's properties seem to consistently match the properties of SCPs already in custody, almost as if they are bootlegged variations of the items in question.

SCP-904 - A Short Poem

SCP-904 is a poem scratched into a bathroom wall in a prestigious university, which presents a harmful memetic hazard to those with a specific, creative mindset. Symptoms after reading the poem include the tendency to rhyme uncontrollably in all forms of speech. Reading the poem multiple times, or even being in close proximity to it after reading it once, will result in the development of a more refined poetic form of speech. The infection can be transmitted to people from a previously infected person caught from other individuals will be shorter in duration than infections from the source. Individuals with backgrounds in poetry are more adversely affected by 904's effects, and have far more difficulty ridding themselves of the infection, which will induce hallucinations of being "trapped" in various enclosures, extreme depression, and the feeling that they are unable to express their thoughts or that their body is not theirs anymore.

SCP-905 - Mr. Chameleon

See Characters.SCP Foundation Misters.

SCP-906 - Scouring Hive

SCP-906 is a writhing mass of dark brown, worm-like invertebrates. These creatures seem to interact in a uniform fashion, forming a colonial "super-being" in a manner similar to army ants. For reasons currently unknown, 906 will usually form its "body" into that of a very rough humanoid figure. 906 is shown to be capable of crude bipedal movement when in this state, but when traveling longer distances, it will change itself to a flattened mass with a greater efficiency of movement. 906 is also predatory and highly aggressive, swarming over any living creature within its path and coat them in an acidic secretion that covers its mass regularly when it grows, thereby breaking the matter down into a liquid slurry which it consumes.
  • Hive Mind: SCP-906 is a The Worm That Walks that shapes its body into humanoid form to move around. The individual worms don't appear to have any intelligence when separated from the body.
  • Kill It with Fire: SCP-906 can be destroyed by incineration, and personnel are allowed to use flamethrowers to do so.
  • To Serve Man: Of all Earth animals, the The Worm That Walks SCP-906 prefers human beings the most as prey.
  • The Worm That Walks: SCP-906 are worms that can act as a colonial superorganism and gather together to form a humanoid body.

SCP-907 - An Exploratory Vehicle

SCP-907 is a 1960s Volkswagen minivan which bears no internal or external structural anomalies. When the engine is started, 907 will disappear from local space-time and undergo a state of transit. This state will persist for five to ten minutes, after which the engine will stop of its own accord. When transit is complete, the van will reappear on the surface of an extrasolar planet. Many of these planets appear to be located in seperate galaxies, making identification through the positions of known stellar objects impossible. No traces of life have been found on any planet reached via 907.

SCP-908 - Colocated Rock

SCP-908 is a partially-submerged rocky islet, measuring approximately 30 meters in length and 25 meters in width, rising to a height of approximately 22 meters above the waterline. The only organisms inhabiting the islet are various lichens and small mollusks, although portions of it are also covered with seabird guano. 908 is a geographic anomaly located in several different places at once, its colocative properties extending to objects in physical contact or in close physical proximity to itself. The islet is also typically surrounded by a mist or fog which, even under the best lighting conditions, limits visibility to no more than 50 meters.

SCP-909 - Mr. Forgetful

See Characters.SCP Foundation Misters.

SCP-910 - Dust, Embodied

SCP-910 is a 156-page book published by Penn & Brooke Scribeworks titled "Organizational Symbology: New Tools for the Oldest Craft", which describes methods to transform mundane objects into living organisms for use in thaumaturgic rituals. The body of 910's text details the principle that groups of humans organized according to specific principles can fill roles in thaumaturgic rituals traditionally held by biological or mineral components. Seven of the book's nine chapters depict different structures of organisms, outlining each through a combination of thaumaturgic terminology and elaborate metaphors.

SCP-911 - Egyptian Book of the Dead

SCP-911 is a papyrus scroll originating from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, dating from approximately 1375 BCE. When a living human makes skin contact with the scroll their personality, memory, and higher brain functions are drawn into the scroll, leaving the body with very limited mentality. Affected subjects die of dehydration in approximately 3 days unless put on life support. There is also a 10% chance that contact with the scroll will exchange the mind and personality of the current subject with another consciousness previously stored in the scroll. Subjects whose consciousnesses enter the scroll end up floating in an endless void, and can only escape through a portal that opens for a few seconds at a time.
  • And I Must Scream: Anyone who touches it ends up floating in an infinite featureless void, unless they manage to escape through a portal that only opens rarely for a few seconds.
  • Soul Jar: It stores the minds of the people who have touched it.

SCP-912 - Autonomous SWAT Armor

SCP-912 is a collection of body armor, clothing, and equipment conformed to the standards of uniform worn by SWAT Team officers. The articles can create an entity capable of independent movement and action when assembled, floating in mid-air as though worn by a person around 6'1" in height. 912 does not directly respond to communication attempts in its default state, and has been assessed to pose no hazard to health, security, or the risk of escape when handled properly. Despite this, the assembled equipment will follow simple orders in English if given by a person wearing a police uniform, primarily to arrest a subject. 912 will also attack in self-defense, but only in the event that it detects an armed individual posing actively hostile behavior within its visual radius.

SCP-913 - Mr. Hungry

See Characters.SCP Foundation Misters.

SCP-914 - The Clockworks

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-915 - The Mechanotesseractic Computer

SCP-915 is a mechanical computing device with a highly non-Euclidean internal configuration, created as the result of an experiment with SCP-914. Despite appearing entirely mechanical, 915 completely replicates the capabilities of a desktop computer. The interior of 915 is a mass of gears and clockwork, as well as esoteric mechanical components used in computation that engage in constant shifts that hinder navigation. When maintenance is required, it will display a summary of the required repair, as well as displaying a map leading to the site within 915 where maintenance is required. The interior has been found to induce cases of disorientation, nausea, and fainting. It is indeterminate how much of these symptoms are a result of the sensory corruption due to the non-Euclidian nature of the device.
  • Alien Geometries: The interior of SCP-915 has a highly non-Euclidean internal configuration, with extensive outpocketing in space and time and a locally nonflat spacetime. The interior experiences constant shifts and is mentally unsettling to anyone inside it, often causing disorientation, nausea, and fainting.
  • Bigger on the Inside: SCP-915 is a metal cube 1.3 meters on a side. Anyone passing inside finds it to be much larger, and can wander around for months.

SCP-916 - Man's Best Friend

SCP-916 is a male golden retriever identical to any other dog of its breed, other than its exceptional longevity. Its demeanor has been noted to be exceptionally friendly, but its anomalous effects will occur between 15 minutes to 1 hour after initial contact with a human subject, whereupon it will become docile and lie down next to the subject. After several seconds of immobility, the dog will begin to completely suppress any pain felt by the individual in contact with it. Within three minutes, one or more localized human voices (SCP-916-1) will manifest. The voices may be recorded and interacted with by the subject, but will often not appear if multiple personnel are present. 916-1 universally claim to be individuals who have been "helped to die" by 916, and are able to provide names and detailed information with which corroborate this claim. They also use a wide variety of tactics to attempt to persuade the subject into committing suicide.
  • Driven to Suicide: The voices attempt to persuade a person near the SCP to do this.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Subverted. It's a dog that causes the elimination of pain in any nearby person, and dogs are typically referred to as "man's best friend". However, said person also starts hearing voices that attempt to persuade them to commit suicide.
  • Hearing Voices: Anyone who stays with the SCP for over 15 minutes starts hearing voices that talk about how it eliminates their pain, and then attempts to persuade them to commit suicide.
  • Immortality: The SCP seems to be immortal, as it's a golden retriever that was recovered in 1977 and is still alive, but ordinary golden retrievers live for 10-12 years on average.

SCP-917 - Mr. Moon

See Characters.SCP Foundation Misters.

SCP-918 - Baby Mill

SCP-918 is an abandoned mill that does not show any evidence of being constructed. Every two months, instances of SCP-918-1, creatures resembling storks, will emerge from 918’s chimney. After emerging, 918-1 will almost immediately begin to fly to an apparently predetermined residence, which will always be home to a newborn infant and its parents. Upon arrival, 918-1 will locate the newborn infant and carefully hold it utilizing their talons. 918-1 instances will then fly back to 918 and insert the infant into the machinery within. After fifteen minutes, varying amounts of talcum powder will be dispensed from the end point of the mechanisms.

SCP-919 - Needy Mirror

SCP-919 is a full-length mirror appearing to be in excellent condition. When a living subject stands in front of the mirror for 15 seconds, their reflection will break synchronization and beg the subject not to leave as a means of staying alive. The reflections appears to be completely self-aware, and have shown access to all of the subject's memories. When the subject makes any move to leave the area, the reflection instantly becomes hysterical. Once the subject is no longer in a place where they can be reflected, the reflection will scream and violently disintegrate. Repeated exposure to the same subject have shown that the reflection is cognizant of what happens to itself, hence its hysteria when the subject attempts to move.

SCP-920 - Mr. Lost

See Characters.SCP Foundation Misters.

SCP-921 - Museum of Memories

SCP-921 is an underground complex of rooms, tunnels, and chambers of various sizes, composition, and age surrounding a central chamber. Many of the rooms in 921 contain various differing objects inside them (henceforth SCP-921-1), rock formations and/or underground flora, mundane items, and other objects. The objects seem to contain "sensations" when interacted with, causing its user to experience a combination of sights, sounds, scents, and other sensory inputs. The central chamber of houses an incorporeal entity whose voice originates from the ceiling (henceforth SCP-921-2), addressing those who enter the main chamber. 921-2 seems to serve as a sort of guide to instances of 921-1 housed within the complex, and will provide directions to a specific object or area if prompted, as well as offer a limited explanation of the sensation contained within an individual object.

SCP-922 - Another Version of the Truth

SCP-922 is a reality-altering phenomenon affecting the students and faculty of a prominent university, as well as civilians in the surrounding neighborhoods. Affected individuals show a number of discrepancies in memory, including the recollection of non-existent events and individuals. 922 also may or may not be responsible for creating new individuals, most of whom have been positively identified using local census records. The nature of 922’s effects make it unknown as to whether these individuals are newly created, or have previously been removed from the memories of students or faculty. Alterations made by the phenomenon have indicated a behavioral pattern of evasion and deception based on indirect interaction with Foundation personnel.

SCP-923 - A Useful Tool

SCP-923 is a satellite housing a large, parabolic dish constructed of unknown alloys. The object is also equipped with a reactor to satisfy the power needs of its "firing mechanism." It is unclear how the satellite generates the effects of firing on a target, but tests have shown that subjects placed between itself and its target are unaffected. Much of the information about 923 has been gathered from the device itself. The object reports that it was constructed by the Foundation, though the project was actually cancelled due to logistical concerns. The object is also semi-sentient and capable of basic deductions, but it appears to use this ability solely for informational queries.

SCP-924 - The Ice Water Men

SCP-924 are pale humanoids measuring approximately 2 meters in height, which resemble waterlogged corpses with several bony, antler-like growths on the head and a set of external gills just below the rib cage. They are capable of swimming at speeds up to 30 km per hour and surviving at depths of up to 1 kilometer. 924 require a near-freezing arctic environment to function properly, and will lapse into a state of estivation if the water surrounding them rises above 4ºC. 924 are ambush predators, attacking their prey from underwater using either holes in the ice as an appropriate ambush location, or by simply breaking through the ice itself. They are highly sensitive to both smell and vibration, allowing them to track prey from significant distances. If the attack is successful, the target is promptly drowned, the body being dragged down to the ocean floor for consumption.

SCP-925 - The Mushroom Cultist

SCP-925 is a species that appears near-identical to a human male, 13 specimens having been contained from cities all over the world. 925 appear to be intersex, as those in confinement refuse to reproduce, and the act has yet to be observed in the wild. When a specimen makes physical contact with a human, the victim will become more sympathetic to the specimen, with complete devotion occuring after 3-5 minutes. Once a specimen has gathered between 10 and 30 followers, it will lead them to a distant, secluded area. Once the group has arrived, the followers will begin digging downwards, constructing a cavern before searching the nearby area for materials to use as fertilizer, so mushrooms can grow in this cavern, including those who succumb to exhaustion.
  • Brainwashed: Anyone who makes physical contact with an instance of SCP-925 gradually becomes one of its followers.
  • Hermaphrodite: Instances of the SCP have been described as apparently being true hermaphrodites. However, they have never been observed reproducing.
  • The Stoner: They have been described as acting as if they were inebriated or impaired. This appears to be deliberate.

SCP-926 - Guqin

SCP-926 is a guqin (a seven-stringed Chinese zither) dated to the 2nd-3rd century BCE. The back of the instrument bears a calligraphic inscription in archaic Chinese reading "The King of Qin commands". 926 appears to function as a control mechanism for a collection of thousands of terracotta figures buried in an underground city near 926’s discovery site. Each figure depicts a life-sized human or animal, the statues depicting humans varying in dress, height, uniform, and hairstyle in accordance with their apparent rank and duty. Despite their clay construction, the statues have been demonstrated to be capable of movement and other actions, but only when given commands by playing the instrument.

SCP-927 - Contagious House

SCP-927 is a dilapidated three-story residence housing two slightly decomposed corpses, one male and one female. The source of 927's anomalous properties is an unidentified microorganism, hereafter referred to as SCP-927-1, that has infested all surfaces and liquids inside the house, which have shown no further structural collapse or decomposition since initial infection. Upon infestation of a house, 927-1 will kill any humans by tunneling through their heart and proceeding to systematically injure the corpse to match the injuries of those in 927. If there are more than two humans residing in the infested residence, any additional corpses will be broken down extremely quickly.

SCP-928 - The White King

SCP-928 is a doll made of ceramic and cloth, whose eyes are capable of movement and will usually follow any person in the vicinity. Although its mouth does not move, the doll is capable of producing vocalizations resembling those of a middle-aged man with an unidentified accent, typically consisting of exchanges of pleasantries or requests for clarification. Periodically, 928 will issue commands corresponding to movements in a game of chess. In most cases, there are several weeks or months between these commands, but intervals have ranged from three hours to eight years. These commands are believed to help the doll learn about or predict world events outside of its containment site.

SCP-929 - The Cuckoo

SCP-929 is an entity of varying height, weight, and species which possesses the ability to rapidly change alter its appearance and biology. Upon entering an area of three meters around an animal, 929 will designate said organism as its "parent" and rapidly transform into a younger member of its species, remaining in this form until either the parent is killed or threatening behavior is engaged against the entity. 929 exerts a psychic influence over its "parent", which will believe that 929 is their offspring and recall highly detailed memories regarding 929's presence. Upon being presented with hostility, 929's face and cranium will split and open, revealing a number of tendrils similar in composition to organs. 929 will kill the threat via a combination of throttling, brute force, and lashing, whereupon it will seek out a new parent.
  • Animalistic Abomination: It was contained by the Foundation as a blackbird chick, before Incident 929-1 caused them to contain it as a goldfish instead.
  • Brainwashed: It convinces its "parent" that it is the "parent's" offspring, going so far as to produce detailed memories of their "child". This got to the point that the "parents" attacked Foundation personnel while it was being contained in the form of a blackbird chick, allowing it to attempt to breach containment.
  • Combat Tentacles: When SCP-929 is attacked, its head will split open and tentacles will emerge from it. SCP-929 uses these tentacles to strangle, strike, and lash its attackers.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: When SCP-929 comes within three meters of an animal, it will rapidly change into a younger version of the animal. It will stay in that form until the animal it's imitating dies or it's attacked.

SCP-930 - Seagull Island

SCP-930 is a tropical island approximately 710m in diameter, with a range of 680-760m. Several species of birds, dubbed SCP-930-1, inhabit the island, with avian specimens introduced to the area becoming instances themselves. Sea-faring vessels trigger an immediate response from 930-1 when approaching the shore of the island. The birds will immediately take flight and steadily increase in numbers, reaching peak concentration roughly 7.0 minutes after the phenomenon is triggered. 930-1 shows hostility towards all humans after they disembark to the extent of inflicting non-lethal wounds and will only return to a passive state once the intruders leave.
  • Apocalyptic Log: The Foundation discovers the remnants of a diary written by an American sailor who was marooned on the island during WWII. It details Nineteen sailors from the USS Kete getting stranded on the island and being slowly hunted down by whatever lives there, with sailors disappearing one by one. The author ultimately realizes the birds weren't the true threat on the island.
    it's in the bushes
  • Feathered Fiend: Subverted. Instances of SCP-930-1 (birds of the island) will viciously attack anyone who approaches or lands on the island. However, it's noted they deliberately only cause superficial injuries and stop attacking once visitors leave, because they're trying to protect people from something that lives on the island.
  • Foreshadowing: When new birds are introduced to SCP-930, instances of SCP-930-1 will emit predator warning calls, even though Foundation researchers have not found any predators on the island that prey on SCP-930-1.
  • Good All Along: The entry primarily describes how all birds of the island viciously attack any and all people that approach, but the enclosed document indicates that they're trying to warn people away from the island because something else lives there, something very unfriendly to humans.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: We never find out exactly what lives on the island.
  • Real Event, Fictional Cause: Downplayed. The USS Kete wasn't sunk by the SCP, but some of the survivors wound up there and met their ends at the hands of whatever lives there.

SCP-932 - Night Feeder

SCP-932 is a race of creatures that are able to adjust the refractive indices of their bodies in order to appear invisible. The ability seems to be disrupted when 932 instances are exposed to sound, the creatures resembling pale and featureless children when uncovered. 932 "hunt" by silently following an individual to their residence in groups of no more than 8 individuals. When the victim enters REM sleep, the pack will pin them down and secrete an unknown pheromone that causes the victim to wake before the REM cycle is complete, allowing the creatures to feed on their fear. 932 are generally docile and do not actively attack Foundation researchers, but if their feeding schedule is disrupted for more than 21 days, they will grow more aggressive and alert to their surroundings.
  • Air-Vent Passageway: During the containment breach described in Incident Report 932-02, SCP-932-06 escaped, apparently by somehow getting into Site-09's air ducts. While in the air ducts, it reproduced, creating SCP-932-07 and SCP-932-08.
  • Emotion Eater: These creatures find a sleeping person, pin them down, and wake them up. They then consume the fear the victim feels at the situation they're in.
  • Vampiric Draining: If the creatures are not fed, they will attack people who are awake. This will so severely drain the victim that they will be rendered comatose and eventually die of a heart attack. The draining process has the side effect of allowing the creatures to reproduce.

SCP-933 - Duct Tape

SCP-933 is a seemingly-innocuous roll of duct tape wielded by SCP-933-02, a man in a cloak who has absolutely no facial features. While in possession of the tape, 933-02 will attempt to pin anyone close to him, unrolling 933 and placing it over the subject's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. He will then remove the duct tape, completely removing that facial feature. 933-02 will continue to do this until he is physically subdued or all facial features of a subject are removed. Subjects afflicted by the tape will experience a strong compulsion to acquire the roll, augmented by an unexplained mechanism allowing them to locate it at long distances.

SCP-934 - Inland Lighthouse

SCP-934 is a lighthouse built by a deceased scientist, situated on his property despite the fact that said property is nearly 65 km from the closest body of water. Every seven days, the area surrounding the lighthouse becomes shrouded in a dense fog that obscures all view of the structure for 24 hours. During this time, 934 becomes active and emits a strong beam of light consistent with a normal lighthouse. The fog appears to have anomalous properties, as it causes all electronics within to behave erratically or malfunction. Any person who enters the fog during its active period has never been seen or heard from again.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: It's a lighthouse that's far inland, away from any body of water.
  • Fog of Doom: The area around it becomes surrounded by a thick fog every week, and anyone who enters the fog is never seen or heard from again.

SCP-935 - Ancient Playing Cards

SCP-935 is a box of playing cards originating from 17th century Germany. The box has the words "Know this: that I have faith in your life, and not in your death" written on it. If any card is displaced 3m or more from the box, the entire set will instantly be teleported into the box, which will also repair all damages any of the cards sustain. The cards also seem to be connected with the Bowe family, as any member of said family who reaches the age of 41 will have 935 teleporting itself to their possession. Almost all Bowe family members who have possessed 935 have gone missing within 78 hours of coming into possession of it.

SCP-936 - Fruit of Man

SCP-936 is a species of deciduous self-pollinating tree inhabiting northern and eastern Europe. 936 is monoecious, and during its flowering period, specimens can be recognized by an unusually high male to female flower ratio. The tree's fruits, classified SCP-936-1, are each covered in a green cupule, and rapidly grows towards its ripe mass of 85kg. Dissection has revealed the inside of 936-1 contains a length of stem wrapping around a structure closely resembling a human body, designated SCP-936-2. Tissue samples obtained from 936-1 physiologically resemble human tissue, possessing functionality in most aspects. The appearance of 936-2 produced by a single 936 specimen varies in size, visual appearance, and apparent gender with no discernible pattern.

SCP-937 - Walking Sticks

SCP-937 is a strangler fig with a unique reproductive process. When maturing, the tree produces self-pollinating flowers and fruit that are insectoid in appearance, designated SCP-937-2. Once fully developed, an individual will detach itself temporarily, whereupon it will walk around and tend its parent tree. The fruit will forage for plant and animal matter to use as fertilizer for the roots of its host plant in a manner similar to ants, with the parent plant functioning as both hive and queen. They are also equipped with a sting which induces necrosis at the site very quickly, and will work together to overwhelm threats such as small mammals.

SCP-938 - Blood and Thunder

SCP-938 is a predatory entity composed of pure electricity, with an intensity similar to that of a moderate electrical storm. It is capable of entering electrical grids through lightning strikes, typically selecting a single occupied structure to monitor. While dormant within grids, the only known indication of 938's presence are anomalous readings by devices sensitive to electromagnetic fields. 938 becomes active upon an electrical storm entering a five kilometer radius of its current location. Its behavior during this period is characterized by interference with electrical devices. After electrifying those who attempt to interact with it, 938 returns to the atmosphere as lightning.

SCP-939 - With Many Voices

SCP-939 is a race of endothermic, pack-based predators of unknown origin. They do not possess many vital organs, a central and peripheral nervous system, a circulatory system, or a digestive tract. Their respiratory system is atrophied and serves no apparent purpose beyond spreading an aerosol amnestic. The creatures have no apparent physiological need to feed, nor do they have any way to digest consumed tissue. The creatures’ primary method of luring prey is the imitation of human speech in the voices of prior victims, which often imply significant distress, though whether the creatures actually understand their vocalizations or are simply repeating previously heard phrases is the subject of ongoing debate. Analysis of the vocalizations cannot distinguish between 939 and samples of known victims' voices. Once lured to the pack’s location, the prey is usually killed with a single bite to the cranium or neck.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: They have no central nervous system, eyes, ears, or digestive tracts.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: They exhale a gas that gives people amnesia.
  • The Needless: They don't actually need to eat, but they do anyway.
  • Red Is Violent: They're violent predators and have red skin.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: Even if someone were to escape, they are spritzed with a chemical that draws them to SCP-939.
  • Voice Changeling: They can perfectly imitate any human voice and speech, even those of people they haven't even encountered.
  • Was Once a Man: It at least seems so. SCP-939 are capable of reproduction, and their offspring are indistinguishable from ordinary human children.

SCP-940 - Araneae Marionettes

SCP-940 is a parasitoid organism with strong similarities to a spider. Each of its eight translucent legs is dotted regularly with six types of specialized sensory organs, and end in large tarsal claws common amongst species of hunting spiders, allowing them to climb sheer vertical surfaces with ease. 940 also possesses a radial nerve net similar to the common starfish, with no central nervous system. Infection occurs following exposure to body fluids containing eggs and larvae, which will subject the host to internal damages and bodily malformation as they mature, ultimately killing the host and puppeteering its corpse.
  • Face Full of Alien Wing-Wong: SCP-940 reproduces by having its host rape other people, which infects the victim with SCP-940 eggs. The eggs grow inside the victim and eventually take it over, continuing the cycle.
  • Giant Spider: SCP-940 is a spider-like creature with a leg span up to 7 meters across.

SCP-941 - Sick of Motion

SCP-941 is a viral phenomenon affecting gasoline-powered automobiles, which will indicate a variety of malfunctions over a period of three to five days. Although no actual mechanical errors have been known to manifest in infected machines, drivers will report hearing unusual noises and changes in the "feel" of the vehicle during normal operations. In addition, when affected machines are tested in harsh terrain and climates, or used for more than three hours, they may cease operating entirely without apparent cause. 941 spreads to other automobiles through direct contact and proximity. Research has shown that automobiles kept in adjacent space to infected machines may begin displaying symptoms which occur intermittently.

SCP-942 - Blood Candy

SCP-942 is a small bubble gum machine for home use, primarily composed of an unremarkable plastic with the words "Try something different today! Sweet and candy-red!" are engraved on the underside of the machine. The primary anomalous feature of 942 is its ability to produce an infinite supply of SCP-942-1, colored gumballs of standard size. When an instance of 942-1 is ingested, the consumer's bodily fluids will take on the appearance of blood upon exiting the body. The subject's actual blood and the properties of bodily fluids remaining inside the body appear to be unaffected. Affected subjects have been known to suffer panic attacks after exposure, where they will attempt to remove the excess blood, in some cases leading to severe bodily harm and dehydration.

SCP-943 - Repayment in Kind

SCP-943 is a band of unidentified metal, adjustable through a sliding mechanism to become anywhere from 5cm to 38cm in diameter. The band bears inscriptions along its external surface, reading "That Justice may flow like water". When placed onto a human subject's arm, the band appears to induce strong visual, auditory, and tactile hallucinations in a staggered pattern. In all cases, the hallucinations appear to be of an event that is connected to the subject in a way that makes them the victim rather than the aggressor.
  • Flashed-Badge Hijack: In the Back Story, a Foundation Agent was killed by a civilian while he was trying to commandeer the civilian's car to deal with a containment breach of another SCP object.
  • Hallucinations: When SCP-943 is put on a subject's wrist, they start to suffer from visual, auditory, and tactile hallucinations that are based on their guilty feelings about something they did.

SCP-944 - Mirror Maze

SCP-944 is a single-story building constructed in 2006, formerly advertised as the "Mirror Maze" of an amusement park. It was secured by the Foundation after sudden anomalous effects were noted inside it, while the rest of the park is open to the public. Periodically, individuals entering 944 are capable of walking off the intended paths through the maze and into the surrounding mirrors. Despite extensive experimentation, the Foundation has been unable to predict when and where these anomalies will occur, as well as the effects of walking through the mirrors themselves. In addition, the mirrors are sometimes capable of producing permanent distortions in the people viewing them.
  • Hall of Mirrors: SCP-944 is one of these where weird things happen when people step through the mirrors.
  • Magic Mirror: A number of mirrors in the Fun House section of SCP-944 have strange effects on people who pass through them, such as being teleported to another mirror 700 miles away, being squashed down to a height of 3 foot 4 inches, and being trapped inside the mirror.
  • Mirror Monster: A child went through one of the mirrors in SCP-944 and ended up in a windowless brick room being tortured by "Zippo the Pyromaniac Clown".
  • Terminal Transformation: Though the known civilian victim was lucky enough to survive despite being shrunk down to three feet tall, Foundation experiments revealed that the transformations can be fatal under the right circumstances. In one case, a D-Class happened to walk through one of the mirrors in this Hall of Fun, quickly growing to over seven feet tall, but the process of being stretched into a giant did serious damage to his internal organs, resulting in unconsciousness and death within ten minutes.

SCP-945 - Box of Shawabti

SCP-945 is an Egyptian shawabti box dating from approximately 1500-1300 BCE, currently holding 186 recently sculpted clay shawabti figures, designated SCP-945-2 to -187. When an individual who had previous contact with 945 passes away, the box and sculptures will vanish. Within the next 24 hours, a crude clay replica of the deceased will manifest within a one-mile radius of 945, tending to appear near the box or in the former living area of the deceased individual. The replicas will display the basic properties of the deceased individuals they are based upon, posessing memories and knowledge relevant to the profession of the individual, and the basic physical capabilities required to perform their tasks.

SCP-946 - A Formal Discussion

SCP-946 is a wooden table with two accompanying chairs. At unpredictable intervals ranging from 2 to 4 times per week, two men (designated SCP-946-1 and SCP-946-2) will manifest and take the two seats. 946-1 is a tall black man with short grey hair and a long beard referred to as "Harmon", whereas 946-2 is a thin, bald white man, who is referred to as "Garcian". The men will engage in a civil debate about a random subject, which vary from existential concepts to trivial and mundane subjects. Both men seem capable of creating three-dimensional images and summoning small objects as a means of providing information to support their opinions.

SCP-947 - Son of a [EXPLETIVE REDACTED]

SCP-947 is an expletive defined as "a really fake, annoying person or thing that you wish would just naff off already" by its creator. 947 carries strong and highly contagious memetic qualities. Any English speaking subjects who hear or read 947 will automatically understand its definition, know the name of its creator, and begin to incorporate it into their vocabulary. Over time, affected individuals will gradually replace all expletives in their vocabulary with 947.

SCP-948 - The Workaholic

SCP-948 is Seamus Ó Tuathail, a former surgeon who has been continuously lecturing in the Pythagoras Theatre of Trinity College, Dublin. Seamus demonstrates signs of emaciation and sleep deprivation, but he prefers not to interrupt his lectures to sate his needs. Seamus' lectures show an anomalous healing effect, with physically injured subjects introduced to his theatre healing as he discusses relevant medical procedures. This effect does not seem to be any more effective than traditional medicine, but can offer improvement when used in conjunction. The lectures also display a secondary calming effect, as many people entering the room while Seamus is lecturing report feeling refreshed and safe regardless of their previous condition, though prolonged exposure to the effect can lead to short-term dizziness and trouble with fine motor skills.

SCP-949 - Wondertainment Land

SCP-949 is an amusement park founded and constructed by Dr. Wondertainment, designated "Wondertainment Land®". Posters and souvenirs for purchase inside the park advertise several contained SCPs originating from Dr. Wondertainment. The park has been observed to periodically disappear from its location on several occasions, often reappearing several days after with new attractions. SCP-949-1 are beings that appear similar to typical amusement park mascots, their costumes depicting a variety of animals. 949-1 instances constantly maintain a cheerful attitude to visitors of the park, even when dissected or otherwise injured. Autopsies show that their interior is composed entirely of wool, confirming a lack of human presence.

SCP-950 - Clothes Dryer

SCP-950 is a black-colored clothes dryer apparently manufactured by GE. When the machine is started on any setting, any laundry within goes through a normal tumble-dry, though the contents will change or disappear entirely halfway through the process. When the cycle ends and the door is opened, a collection of clothing entirely different from what was put in is found inside. All tests have shown that the resulting laundry has never been seen by the person who owned the input clothing. The output is also noticeably filthier than the input, often covered in stains. Bodily fluids of all known kinds have been recorded on various articles of clothing, and several of them have been found to house contagious viruses.

SCP-951 - My Friend LUCAS

SCP-951 is a glitch manifesting inside "Pauper: Rise of the Monster King" (SCP-951-1), a turn based role-playing game for the Sega Genesis. The glitch, nicknamed "LUCAS" in-game, has been found in approximately 1 out of every 3 cartridges. LUCAS does not have a defined figure, instead displaying as a block of randomized pixels. Outside of scripted encounters, LUCAS has displayed the ability to communicate with Foundation personnel through dialog boxes of mostly-garbled text, understanding the vocalizations of researchers. LUCAS appears to be very friendly when communicating, and often suggests methods of working through the game quickly and effectively. LUCAS will continue to increase in power as the player does, assisting the player with each battle. Starting a new game after completion and performing the glitch will result LUCAS reincarnating with no memory of the player or any conversations it may have had.

SCP-952 - NP Rock

See Recap.SCP Foundation Canons under the folder "The Trashfire".

SCP-953 - Polymorphic Humanoid

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-954 - Vocalizing Frogs

SCP-954 is a species of frog similar to the Rio Grande Chirping Frog. The anomalous properties of 954 are observed when it vocalizes in the presence of other organisms. The frogs’ vocalizations cause slight hallucinations in human subjects by stimulating the temporoparietal lobe. The effect is commonly described as seeing a shadowy figure in one’s peripheral vision, which moves quickly out of visual range when focused upon. 954's effect has been observed to be used in order to disorient various insects, causing their movements to become erratic. It is unknown precisely how the vocalizations affect insects, as they lack the complex brain structures of humans.

SCP-955 - Mr. Sillybug

SCP-955 is a species of land-dwelling arthropod-like creatures native to temperate areas of North America, featuring a bulbous head resembling a deep-sea fish, a large antenna-like organ between the eyes, fin-like protuberances near the back of the head, and a long segmented body plan featuring multiple pairs of legs. 955 appear to possess intelligence similar to a puppy, being curious and playful. When encountering one or more humans in wooded-but-populated areas, the creatures will rapidly approach while wriggling their facial organs and emitting a hissing sound, signaling a desire to play. If threatened, 955 will lift their head and thorax off the ground while emitting a shrieking cry, before projecting a viscous, foul-smelling, and caustic mucus in several directions from its mouth and protuberances. This mucus is corrosive to metals and most organic materials, and contains a neurotoxin which makes unprotected skin contact extremely painful.
  • The Grotesque: SCP-955 is overtly friendly, behaving in a similar manner as a young dog. This is in spite of its frightening appearance.
  • Poison Is Corrosive: The substance spit out by an example of SCP-955 is both corrosive and poisonous.
  • Super Spit: If an example of SCP-955 is startled or feels threatened it will spit out a highly caustic mucus up to several meters away. The mucus contains a pain-causing neurotoxin.

SCP-956 - The Child-Breaker

SCP-956 is a piñata resembling an unknown quadruped. Although superficially similar to paper-mache, 956 is constructed of various amounts of glue, sugar, unidentified fur, and human tissue, and has also shown to be highly resistant to almost any damage. The piñata enters an active state when a human child under the age of 12 approaches it. Approximately 7 to 28 seconds after entering the active zone, the child becomes incapable of motion or speech. 956 will then display motion, intelligence, and hostility, bludgeoning the child until the torso ruptures. Upon rupturing, the victim's body discharges unmarked candy made from their innards, designated SCP-956-1. The piñata will repeat this process on any other victims before returning to its docile state.
  • And I Must Scream: Its effect on its victims. They're rendered paralyzed and incapable of speech before it bashes them open. Sadly, it's been determined that even if you get a victim away from the thing before it can kill them, they're stuck that way for what will likely be a much shorter life.
  • Body Horror: The candy it creates when it bashes open children are made out of the child's organs.
  • Forced Transformation: Children who eat the candy it makes turn into more murderous piñatas.
  • It Can Think: As of recently, SCP-956 has started to wander around its containment cell and is staring at a spot on one of the walls. Security confirmed that it is facing directly towards a nearby elementary school.
  • Living Toys: A living, murderous piñata.
  • Logical Weakness: Being a piñata and made of paper, it can be destroyed by fire.
  • Made of Indestructium: It is, however, inexplicably resistant to huge amounts of bludgeoning damage. No baseball bat is going to get this piñata open.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: "Child Breaker".
  • Noodle Implements: While its exterior material is superficially similar to papier-mâché, analysis reveals that it's made of various amounts of glue, █████, sugar, an unidentified type of fur, and human tissue.
  • Russian Reversal: In Soviet Russia, piñata beats YOU!
  • Would Hurt a Child: Would bludgeon children to death until candy spills out of their innards.

SCP-957 - Baiting

SCP-957 is a humanoid entity that appears to be devoid of internal organs, as observed via a large opening on its torso. Interactions with personnel has shown that 957 is capable of speech and is fluent in English, but it prefers to talk in a currently unknown language. 957 will always reside in a house inhabited by a single human, hereby designated SCP-957-1. When 957-1 dies, the entity will disappear from the house and reappear in the nearest location that fits its requirements. Upon doing this, it will seek out the individual residing there and force the body through a portal inside its chest cavity, where they will remain for approximately four hours before emerging. Affected individuals will believe that they have been blind all their life and possess knowledge of Braille. Additionally, they will believe that 957 is a beloved family member, a close friend, or a partner in an intimate relationship that had been severely burned.
  • The Bait: Uses the humans it turns into instances of SCP-957-1 as this, luring other humans to its home to dismember them. The translated conversation at the end of the article implies that SCP-957 itself is this, just serving as a huge distraction to the Foundation so its unknown friend can do what they want.
  • Body Horror: It looks like a tall mummified corpse with jagged teeth and unusually large eyes.
  • Brainwashing: Has this effect on its victims, who are thereafter referred to as instances of SCP-957-1. After the brainwashing, SCP-957-1 have their eyes taken out, but believe they have always been blind and regard SCP-957 as a close friend, who they help by feigning needing help in public, and when someone helps SCP-957-1 home, they fall prey to SCP-957.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Even with its disturbing appearance aside, it definitely has supernatural abilities such as Super-Strength, can trap victims in a Pocket Dimension in its chest cavity to brainwash them, and can surround itself and victims in an impenetrable black barrier.
  • Implacable Man: Due to its abilities and Super-Strength, the Foundation has no way of preventing it from doing what it wants.
  • Loner-Turned-Friend: SCP-957 specifically seeks people who live alone to turn into instances of SCP-957-1 and becoming their "friend".

SCP-958 - General-Beep

SCP-958 is "General Beep", a toy robot manufactured by Dr. Wondertainment. When activated via a switch on the back of the head, General Beep becomes capable of speech and limited movement. When exposed to a child under the age of 13, the General will frequently discuss historical military accomplishments with the child. Should the child play with Beep for six hours, it will give the child information on how to build SCP-958-B, functioning weapons created from a wide variety of miscellaneous objects. The ammunition and payloads used by 958-B are unconventional and largely anomalous, but the instructions that the General gives for constructing them cannot be utilized by anyone other than the child in question.

SCP-959 - The Bogeyman

SCP-959 is a 35-year-old Caucasian man with brown eyes, a bald head, and a brown handlebar mustache. When a sentient being looks directly at 959, he will take on the appearance of that person's greatest fear. The ability seems to be completely involuntary and continuous, regardless of whether 959 is asleep or awake. Each subject tasked with directly viewing 959 during testing reported seeing him as something different, exclusive to that individual. The effect does not occur when viewed through a secondary electronic source such as a camera. 959 himself has shown that appearing as the worst fear of every person who looks at him against his will has left him in almost constant misery.

SCP-960 - Inspiration

SCP-960 is a fragment of an ancient Greek vase. On its surface are three Muses, two of which have been identified as Melpomene and Clio, while the third has never been seen in any other piece of Greco-Roman art. Shortly after a human touches 960, the subject will be struck by a series of original ideas, including a piece of classical music, an intricate choreography, a psychological insight, a work of fiction of variable length, a spiritual revelation, a work of drama, a joke, and a scientific breakthrough, all of which follow one another in the same progression. After this itinerary is exhausted, all creative energy is then focused on devising ingenious methods of violence.

SCP-961 - University Sundial

SCP-961 is an iron sundial of unknown manufacture. When exposed to sunlight and properly aligned, 961 functions as a regular sundial without anomalous properties. When sunlight is not present, a dark discoloration will emerge from the center and align itself at twelve o'clock. The shape will begin moving counterclockwise along the sundial's edge, and when its rotation returns to XII, 961 will manifest its primary effect on anyone in a contained space with it. The sundial’s primary effect takes the form of sudden unconsciousness and vivid hallucinations affecting all people in range. All affected people will experience the same hallucination during any cycle, always taking the form of an event in the past. The event will play out before them for exactly ten minutes, including the climax.
  • Eyeless Face: SCP-961-1 is a human who is described as having empty black apertures where the eyes should be.
  • Hallucinations: Anyone caught within the sundial's area of effect when it is active experiences vivid hallucinations relating to a significant historical event.

SCP-962 - Tower of Babble

SCP-962 is a large steel tower in a mountainous valley, constructed in a manner so that it twists and tapers as it rises from the ground. 962 produces and controls an estimated 13,500 "servitors", collectively designated SCP-962-1. 962-1 are animals with cybernetic augmentations controlled by a central source, assumed to be the tower itself. The servitors fill a number of roles, mining for ore in an extensive system of tunnels, or repairing damage to the 962 and each other. Approximately 60 times per day, the tower will release a hydrogen-filled balloon from an aperture near its top. Attached to each balloon is a manuscript, written in English, taking the forms of poems, novels, and essays. These writings possess an essence of general optimism present in these writings, 962 creating them explicitly to praise humankind.
  • Body Horror: The animals it turns into "servitors" have had extensive modifications to make them appear more human-like.
  • Bold Inflation: The excerpt from one of its documents contains a few of these:
Cleanse the WORLD for the Great Ones Cleanse the WORLD for the Great Ones
who greater than you your majesty your sublime nature Great Ones do I do right?
  • Cyborg: It turns animals into these.
  • Humans Are Special: It appears to think so, as it refers to humans as "Great Ones", its rants consistently praise humans, and its servitors are made to look human and don't attack humans or machines.

SCP-963 - Immortality

SCP-963 is an ornate amulet made from white gold, with thirteen cut diamonds surrounding an ovoid ruby in a starburst pattern. Junior Staff researcher Jack Bright, assigned with researching the amulet’s capabilities, was killed by 076-2 (Able) while transporting 963 by hand. After much experimentation, it has been discovered that when any living anthropoid comes into direct skin contact with 963, Dr. Bright, whose consciousness had been absorbed by the artifact, completely possesses the subject. If a subject maintains contact with 963 for 30 days, their brain functions become a duplicate of Dr. Bright's. Though numerous sanctions were put in place to prevent multiple copies of Dr. Bright from being created to prevent the doctor from collaborating with himself, it was found this was not necessary, as Dr. Bright has proven himself thoroughly dedicated to the Foundation and its cause.

SCP-964 - Indescribable Polymorph

SCP-964 is a prototype active camouflage system, developed under contract with the Department of Defense. 964 displays the ability to reconstruct itself on the atomic level. The process can take up to 16 hours, and causes a complete change of the object's appearance, physical properties, and chemical composition. In rare cases, the system has been observed changing into high-energy, radioactive, or explosive objects. 964 will initiate the process whenever it "detects" data related to its current manifestation, encompassing all known data formats and storage mediums. The reaction can be delayed by increasing the medium's complexity and distance from 964, though no method of completely stopping it has been found so far.

SCP-965 - The Face In The Window

SCP-965 is a visual manifestation that occurs within framed windows, taking the shape of a pale-skinned male humanoid with a shadowed face that stares through the window. 965 will only appear when the relative lighting on the "outside" of the window falls below 5 candelas, regardless of lighting on the "inside." 965 has currently not shown any ability to intentionally move from one pane of glass, only able to attain a new manifestation point upon the destruction of pane it currently inhabits. The face, designated SCP-965-1, is described as "looking away" despite its two-dimensional nature. Initial effects caused by the face include unease, nervousness, and low-grade paranoia overcoming anyone within visual range of the manifestation, even if obscured. 965 has not produced any noise as of yet, and there have been no reported instances of it animating once it appears, though it is capable of disappearing and reappearing in different poses. The face also shows signs of sentience, having been observed to show disappointment if it manifests to an empty room.

SCP-966 - Sleep Killer

SCP-966, informally known as Sleep Killers, are a species of predatory creature resembling hairless, digitigrade humans, possessing an elongated face and needle-like teeth. The creatures are only visible at wavelengths ranging from 700 nm to about 900 nm and feed on medium-to-large-sized animals, including humans. Their hunting methods consist of emitting a single burst of a previously unknown type of radioactive wave, which permanently robs the affected creature of the ability to enter REM sleep. After depriving their victims of sleep, the creatures will stalk their prey until the lack of sleep incapacitates it, whereupon they will pounce and consume them. Though the Foundation has greatly thinned their numbers since discovery, Sleep Killers are noted to be found in the wild all throughout the world.
  • Hidden Harasser: SCP-966 is a humanoid being that can only be seen by a creature that can see infrared light. It uses a special ability to render a victim unable to sleep, waits until the victim collapses from sleep deprivation and then eats it. It is known to deliberately make scary noises and even assault the target to hasten its psychological collapse. Repeated use of its special ability on a subject can cause the victim to have vivid hallucinations and/or enter a rage state.
  • Invisible Monsters: Can only be seen through infrared filters.
  • It Can Think: Inverted. Despite their vaguely humanoid shape, everything about them indicates that they possess only animal-level intelligence.
  • Monstrous Humanoid: They are humanoid in shape, but they act more like animals.
  • Paranoia Fuel: In-Universe. On occasion, they will subject prey to threatening noises and physical assaults to compound the sleep deprivation with additional stress, speeding up the victim's deterioration.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: Justified by their method of subduing prey. They emit a sort of radiation that renders their victim unable to sleep (forever), then follows said victim around until they finally succumb to sleep deprivation.
  • Wolverine Claws: Subverted. They have long nails, but being easily broken, they make for poor weapons.
  • Unholy Matrimony: Kind of; the extended testing logs for SCP-978 reveals that what 966-1 wants most is to mate with 966-2.

SCP-967 - Infinite Scrapyard

SCP-967 is an abandoned scrapyard that has been measured at approximately 200m x 500m. The landscape is composed entirely of items consistent with a scrapyard: old cars, abandoned trains, disused watercraft, and mountains of broken appliances. 967 has since been found to be inhabited by a wide variety of ambulatory creatures, collectively designated SCP-967-1. The creatures appear to be haphazardly constructed from the same materials as the landscape, and may or may not be individually intelligent or aggressive. Instances taken beyond the borders of the scrapyard undergo mechanical degradation, with their component parts collapsing into a disconnected heap.
  • Bigger on the Inside: From the outside, SCP-967 appears to be an scrapyard about 200 meters by 500 meters. On the inside, it is much larger, being described as consisting of "trash as far as the eye can see".
  • Kill It with Fire: When the primitive robots that exit SCP-967 break apart into their component pieces, the Foundation burns them to ashes and puts them back inside SCP-967 so their presence outside SCP-967 doesn't cause it to expand.

SCP-968 - Tar Baby

SCP-968 is a black, adhesive, high-viscosity substance reminiscent of tar or oil composed of a colony of fibrous protozoa working together. Similar to the flexing properties of an animal muscle, these protozoa are capable of pulling on one another with combined strength. Specialized flagella along their surfaces allow for the gripping of prey and surfaces, but 968 is incapable of any significant locomotion. The colony "hunts" by mimicking the appearance of a wounded animal to lure that species’ natural predators to attack it. In the presence of humans, it has "learned" to mimic a trapped infant to lure in sympathetic victims. Once ensnared, prey often strengthens adhesion by struggling against the colony. 968 will then dismember its prey to pieces small enough to digest on a cellular level.
  • Blob Monster: Since its lack of solid parts limits its mobility, trying to freeze it actually makes it more dangerous, as it can use the frozen parts to act as "bones".
  • Luring in Prey: SCP-968 hunts humans by altering part of itself to mimic a baby or small child to lure in rescuers.
  • To Serve Man: SCP-968 hunts humans by taking the form of a small child or baby.

SCP-969 - █████ Brand Mosquito Repellent

SCP-969 is a brand of packaged insect repellent apparently distributed by a corporation with no physical or online records. Packages are known to spontaneously manifest, with preset prices, on the shelves and records of convenience stores in the United States and Canada. 969's packaging claims that approximately 19% of the substance is composed of an unknown chemical implied to be the active ingredient of the repellent. Using 969 in any way other than recommended on the packaging’s instructions results in various immediate and/or chronic anomalous effects on a human subject, including the repulsion of clothing from skin, a deafening buzzing sound heard in the ears, the inability to grasp or hold objects, and a staunch refusal of any sort of shelter.

SCP-970 - The Recursive Room

SCP-970 is a spatial phenomenon where a collection of rooms overlap upon themselves. In all recorded cases, this is performed by way of a series of doors appearing in the walls in a straight line, so it is possible to walk forwards and end up at the starting position. The alteration to the rooms does not affect any neighboring rooms and floors. The first example of the phenomenon documented, designated SCP-970-01, is a cell-block within Sector 19, constructed with the intent of housing D Class personnel, who used the phenomenon as an attempt to break containment. Since then, numerous examples of 970 have been discovered in an 800-kilometer radius of Sector 19.
  • Alien Geometries: SCP-970 is a collection of rooms that are connected by a series of doors in a straight line. If a person walks through the doors in order, they'll end up back at their starting place.
  • Alternate Universe: Anyone who passes through all of the doors in SCP-970 and ends up in their original location will actually be in a slightly different universe. Each time they pass through SCP-970 the universe will change a little more, until things get really strange.

SCP-971 - Exotic Fast Food Delivery

SCP-971 is a menu printed on a standard sheet of printer paper, advertising a delivery service known as "Quik 'n Ready Mealz". When holding 971 and calling the phone number listed on it, the caller will be sent to an automated menu system, which will prompt them to input the code number for the food they desire, as well as their credit card number. Once both numbers are input, the automated system will tell the caller the total price, thank them, and disconnect. 15 to 20 minutes after the call, a paper bag with the Quik n' Ready Mealz logo containing the chosen food (designated SCP-971-1) will manifest near the caller, almost always appearing when all potential observers in the area have their attention diverted elsewhere. DNA testing has confirmed that all meat used in this food comes from animals recognized as endangered both by the EEC's Endangered Species List.
  • Exotic Entree: The meat used in SCP-971-1 comes from endangered animals like pandas, cheetahs, and red wolves. Whoever makes SCP-971-1 figured out how to extract the meat from said animals without killing them, which the Foundation discovered after receiving reports that animals in various zoos were losing weight and muscle mass at abnormal rates.
  • Stealthy Teleportation: After SCP-971-1 is ordered, it appears in a paper bag near the caller after 15-20 minutes, usually when they're not looking.

SCP-972 - Immunity

SCP-972 is Ahmet Osman, a 23-year-old Turkish man whose anomalous property is a mutualistic relationship with SCP-972-1, a DNA virus that resembles hepatitis uniquely limited to him. 972-1 possesses a unique reproductive life cycle that enables it to remain in nucleocapsid form for long periods of time without being degraded. 972-1 has been found in nearly every cell that compromises Ahmet’s body, and its primary anomalous effect triggers when he is infected by any foreign viral or bacterial agents. In both cases, 972-1 will eliminate the infection via over-stimulating lysosome activity, creating hydrolytic enzymes that rapidly destroy all phagocytized bacteria. As a result of this process, Ahmet is effectively immune to all known forms of infectious disease, as any introduction of infection to his body will endure complete destruction within a period ranging from 24 hours to a week, depending on the reproductive potential of the disease in question.

SCP-973 - Smokey

SCP-973 is a Caucasian man in his late forties, balding, overweight, with a handlebar mustache and wearing a state trooper uniform from the early 1970s, dubbed "Smokey" by the Foundation. He is described as balding, slightly overweight, having a handlebar mustache, and is . Smokey is known to manifest on a 60 kilometer stretch of road, and does so when another vehicle enters the designated territory while accelerating over a certain speed. Smokey will appear approximately 0.4 km behind the targeted vehicle inside SCP-973-1, an early 1970s police cruiser in an advanced state of disrepair. Once the target is caught, Smokey will subject them to rape, beatings, and evisceration as punishment for breaking the speed limit. The Foundation has tried to put a stop to Smokey’s brutality by attempting to capture him and destroy the road where he manifests, but they ended up expanding his area of effect.
  • Ax-Crazy: He hunts down people who are speeding and inflicts horribly painful deaths on them.
  • Bald of Evil: He appears to be a balding Caucasian male. He ruthlessly kills speeders in horrible ways, including evisceration and rape.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: He horrifically murders people for speeding. Even worse, the speed limit he enforces isn't even consistent.
  • Fat Bastard: Described by the Foundation and witnesses as "overweight".
  • Ghostly Gape: His mouth is just a dark hole, with no teeth or tongue visible inside.
  • Haunted Technology: When 973 manifests, its chosen victim's radio starts playing the sentence "RUN, [EXPLETIVE REDACTED]" on a loop.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He superficially resembles an ordinary policeman at first glance, until one takes notice of his glowing red eyes and empty black mouth.
  • Just Toying with Them: It's possible to escape 973 by driving out of its territory before it can catch you, but "it has the tendency of catching you before you hit the end" and "it seems to enjoy catching people just a few hundred yards from the border." This, alongside the looping warning on the radio, seems to imply that 973 enjoys the thrill of the pursuit.
  • One-Man Army: One attempt by the Foundation to capture 973 through armed force ended in complete disaster, with Smokey killing nine agents and escaping (though not without being seemingly injured by gunfire).
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Aside from brutally dismembering his victims, he will also rape them.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: After he relocated following the demolition of his road.
  • Serial Killer: Supernatural abilities aside, Smokey is basically a Killer Cop who chases down and pulls over unlucky motorists whom he catches speeding, just so that he can brutally slaughter them for no apparent reason beyond extreme sadism.
  • Sinister Car: Downplayed, somewhat. It'll only attack anyone going over a certain speed limit, but given that said speed limit varies, and there appears to be no discernible pattern between the speed limits, there is no reliable way for the Foundation to be able to predict what the speed limit is whenever an instance appears.
  • Turns Red: After the Foundation attempted to close down his road and contain or destroy him. His eyes are now red, his mouth turned into a featureless black hole, and to make things worse, his area of effect is expanding.
  • Was Once a Man: Possibly. Some Tales about Smokey suggest that he may have once been a normal human police officer, before he somehow became some sort of undead demon cop haunting the highways that he once patrolled.

SCP-974 - Treehouse Predator

SCP-974 is a carnivorous creature that resembles a human child. It possesses great durability, strength, and stamina, and does not appear to be deterred by bullets or melee weaponry. Its primary food source is prepubescent human children, and each time it successfully consumes a child, it will replicate the most recently consumed child within 10-12 days. Once it has settled into a new territory, it uses the local vegetation and other available materials to create between crudely built one-room structures, designated SCP-974-2. The creature will seek to lure a group of 2 to 5 children to a structure by asking them to follow it in the hopes of playing. At this point, whether the target accepts or declines the offer, 974 will dismember and devour them, remaining in the territory until the local population of children is depleted. The creature also displays a heightened "fight or flight" reaction to the presence of post-pubescent humans, and will immediately attempt to flee to an instance of 974-2 if visible to such an individual.
  • Face Stealer: After killing and eating a human being, it can take the form of that person.
  • Humanshifting: It can take the form of any human being that it has killed and eaten.
  • Immune to Bullets: Combat between Foundation troops and SCP-974 has shown that it isn't affected by small arms fire.
  • Monstrous Humanoid: SCP-974 is a meat-eating creature that looks like a young human child.
  • To Serve Man: In its standard form, SCP-974 lures groups of prepubescent children to its treehouse, then kills and eats one of them. In its enhanced form, it can kill and devour adult human beings.
  • Super-Strength: SCP-974-A (what SCP-974 turns into when it isn't fed children) is strong enough to rip the steel roof off of a building.
  • You Are Who You Eat: While in its standard form, after SCP-974 kills and eats a child of age 6-12, it will change to that child's form over a period of 10-12 days. In its enhanced form, it can kill and devour adult human beings and take their form in a short period of time.

SCP-975 - Subway Frogs

SCP-975 is a hole approximately 1.2 m in diameter located in an abandoned subway tunnel. The hole appears to be lined or composed of organic substances, and does not appear to extend beyond the ceiling of the tunnel. Periodically, 975 will open and discharge a single instance of SCP-975-2, a race of extraterrestrial creatures which superficially resemble frogs, though they do not resemble any known amphibian and do not appear to have terrestrial physiology. There are currently 33 instances of 975-2 in containment, which show themselves as highly intelligent and have acquired the ability to communicate in English over a period of six months.

SCP-976 - Anomalous Hard Drive

SCP-976 is a Western Digital hard drive with an indicated capacity of 32 GB. The drive has shown itself to be unusually heavy, and all attempts to disassemble its external casing have failed. When read using a specially-designed interface, 976 appears to contain a "slice" of a larger data repository. The "slice" changes position every 24 hours at exactly 11:53 AM, thus necessitating all data be downloaded daily for analysis. Reconstructed files from the drive show several fragments of news reports, including images, partial videos, archives documenting the use of technology that has not been invented, and the descriptions, experiment logs, and containment procedures for SCPs that do not exist. All data recovered matches standard Foundation data formats, but doesn’t seem to correspond to data found in Foundation archives.

SCP-977 - The Security Station

SCP-977 is a warehouse that was owned by several companies over a number of years before the Foundation bought it. 977 is outwardly unremarkable and completely empty aside from the security station. Along with a single open storage space, the structure contains a number of irregular rooms and corridors, many of which are sunken below street level, all characterized by unusual plateaus, varying ceiling heights, and raised platforms. The monitors within the security station, which have black and white displays and do not receive sound, are divided into two groups of eighteen, designated Group-1 and Group-2. Group-1 receives signals from an unidentified source, showing numerous unconscious people wearing identical hospital gowns. These images cycle at eight minute intervals, with a new image/subject replacing the previous one. Group-2 receives images of rooms and hallways that match the characteristics of rooms already contained within the complex.

SCP-978 - Desire Camera

SCP-978 is a standard red-and-black Polaroid Supercolor 645 CL instant camera, with no distinctive damage or identifying marks. 978 operates similar to a standard camera, and shows no anomalous behavior beyond the photographs it produces. When a subject is pictured with the camera, the resulting photograph shows the subject doing what they wanted to be doing instead of what they were doing at the time they were photographed. The effect appears to be random, sometimes showing drastic changes and deeply suppressed desires, or simple changes and alterations to the subject or their surroundings. The camera appears to be capable of expressing the desires of both humans and other creatures.
  • Hidden Depths: Implied. When used on me, SCP-426, the resulting photograph did not show me doing anything different, but the photo itself was of much higher fidelity than its usual photographs. This suggests that, due to my anomalous properties possibly reflecting 978's subject to itself, that 978 itself wants to be a better camera.
  • Magical Camera: When it takes a photograph of a person, the photograph is not of that person, but of what that person wants to be doing at that time, often revealing secrets about that person they otherwise didn't want let out.

SCP-979 - Stoneware Rabbit

SCP-979 is an animate stoneware figurine in the shape of a rabbit, which has the ability to express emotion through facial changes and posture congruent with typical human reactions. 979 lacks proper anatomy and therefore experiences extreme difficulty with normal movement. The figurine’s behavior shows some sentience, but it generally only reacts to any stimuli with fear and/or avoidance. Extended proximity to 979 causes synesthesia of all senses, typically manifesting after four hours and escalating over a variable period of three weeks. Humans exposed to 979 tend to describe a "whispering, rustling voice" associated with the sensation of touch and will avoid any physical contact with anything as much as possible. After two weeks, synesthesia spreads to all senses, although certain senses appear to be less intrusive than others. Three weeks after exposure, the synesthesia develops fully in all the senses, with subjects appearing to attempt interaction with hallucinations before falling into a catatonic state.

SCP-980 - An Absence of Detail

SCP-980 is a featureless humanoid of average height and weight, indeterminate age and gender, and smooth gray-white skin. 980 does not possess any facial features, sensory organs, nails or hair. It can be injured with relative ease, bleeding a viscous substance similar to white paint. Analysis shows that 980 possesses no internal organs, though it does have a skeletal structure comparable to that of a human. 980 inflicts a natural "simplification effect" on every object and being within an 8-meter radius of itself. The effect streamlines the features of objects while removing color, detail, and function. Humans develop more average facial features and will lose or gain height and weight, followed by human subjects loss of facets of their personality. While brief exposure to 980 is not physically harmful, prolonged exposure results in the "simplification" and fusion of parts located near one another, particularly those of the circulatory and respiratory systems.

SCP-981 - The Director's Cut

SCP-981 is a film reel spooled with a Kodak Panchromatic nitrate 16mm film negative of the 1927 film Metropolis. The film was discovered housed in SCP-981-1, a steel film canister dating from the late 1920s labeled in Spanish. The film and its canister show no unusual markings or indications that they are anything other than a mass-produced stock for distribution to cinemas. However, when the film and canister are placed in proximity to any other audiovisual storage medium containing a live-action movie, the data held on the secondary medium is altered to include additional scenes of anomalous and disturbing natures.

SCP-982 - Chicago Loop

SCP-982 is an antique casement window recovered from a Marshall, Carter, and Dark auction. No matter where it is mounted, the window opens onto the busy street outside a third-story office. Personnel exiting the window find themselves in what is apparently Chicago, 1875, between 8:30 AM, Friday, March 26, and 10:45 AM, Saturday, March 27. At the end of this 26-hour interval, the city "resets". Any external objects or subjects housed within the city during the reset are lost. Exiting this city can only be done by climbing back through 982 from the outside.

SCP-983 - The Birthday Monkey

SCP-983 is a vintage mechanical monkey dressed in the remains of what used to be a vest for circus ringmasters. The monkey’s left hand holds a lightly tarnished brass bell, while the right hand holds a brass striking rod. If the monkey comes into physical contact with an individual on their birthday, it will spring to life and do a single back flip before raising its bell and singing a 46-verse celebratory song. 983 will sing the song until its current owner has died. Each verse of this song appears to age the subject by one year, to the point where the subject is aged to a skeleton. By singing along with the monkey, the subject may deactivate it, but not before it produces a single gumdrop-style candy from it. The approach of singing along with the monkey directly impacts on the color of the candy and the side effects of eating it.
  • Do Well, But Not Perfect: One person managed to score 45 out of 46. The candy made her explode in a flash of white light, and they never found the body. It's implied that instead of dying, she transformed into some sort of Energy Being.
  • Rapid Aging: Each time the Birthday Monkey sings a verse, the person who activated it will age 1 year. If it isn't deactivated, the victim will be aged to death. The Monkey will continue singing verses until the victim has been reduced to a skeleton.

SCP-984 - A Public Restroom

SCP-984 is a public restroom that has been partially soundproofed. 984 will only display anomalous properties if at least one light fixture is turned off and one stall is occupied by a single person. Should these conditions be met, instances of SCP-984-1 will materialize inside the bathroom. 984-1 are large, highly aggressive mammals of varying species, all of which display symptoms and mannerisms of mid- to late-stage rabies. They will display marked hostility towards the subject inside 984, and will not willingly leave the bathroom for any reason. Not prepared to handle dangerous animals, the victims are often bitten several times before being able to properly defend themselves.

SCP-985 - Lost Luggage Claim

SCP-985 is an airport baggage claim that operates indistinguishably from any other baggage claim when under observation. Should runway access, the conveyor system, or terminal access of 985 cease being observed, the machine's electrical draw begins to fluctuate rapidly. At this point, various articles of luggage will begin to enter the observed portions of the machine. The articles will continue along the conveyor until they are either taken from the line or reenter an unobserved section. The luggage "produced" by 985 (collectively designated SCP-985-1) appears to exhibit mild inhibitory effects on certain areas of the human brain, resulting in a general inability to distinguish it from normal baggage. Contents found within 985-1 have included a disassembled assault rifle, a crowbar, 37 knives, a bottle of discontinued shampoo, a plastic bottle containing highly compressed air, pieces of scrap metal, and articles of clothing made of metallic fibers which slice skin on contact.

SCP-986 - Faulkner's Last Manuscript

SCP-986 is an unpublished manuscript believed to have been written by William Faulkner, containing an original work of fiction titled The Absent Willows. At irregular intervals, typewritten text will manifest via unknown means in the manuscript’s 850-page supplemental section. While the text of The Absent Willows is written in type consistent with the Underwood Typewriter used throughout Faulkner's life, the text appearing in the supplemental section does not match any known typeface. The content of 986’s text invariably consists of a repeating six-character format that does not appear to have any understandable content. It is believed that this text is a series of cyphers which add more and more stories to the manuscript.

SCP-987 - Gruesome Gallery

SCP-987 is a collection of mirrors (SCP-987-a through -m) of various sizes and types appearing to have been manufactured between the 1940's and 1990's. When viewed directly, the mirrors display different scene, presumably of their previous location. Each reflection displays the violent death of a human subject, running as a loop ranging from 48 seconds to 4 minutes. If viewed for 2 full cycles, the images change and the subjects become aware of the viewer, often soundlessly pleading for help as the loops unfold. SCP-987-1 (commonly referred to as "The Curator") is an endothermic entity that can only be seen by thermographic scanning. It moves at ground level, draining heat in a radius that varies from 1 to 2 meters, and able to manipulate objects up to 150 kg in mass. "The Curator" is known to dissipate and remain undetectable for periods between 15 and 90 minutes. When the chamber is empty of personnel, it moves about in no discernible pattern, pausing in front of different mirrors for approximately 30 minutes each.

SCP-988 - Unopenable Chest

SCP-988 is a chest composed of oak and iron which possesses a latch that moves freely when not secured, and is believed to house an irregularly shaped object, which has been felt shifting as the chest is lifted and tilted. Despite the lack of any apparent obstacle, the chest cannot be opened by any means. All attempts to open it have failed due intervening circumstances. Subjects who have tried to directly open it by hand have been observed to become lost on their way to its location, suffer injuries preventing them from reaching it, and even spontaneously dying of natural causes just before completing the action. Attempting to open it via machines or other indirect mechanisms have been stopped respectively by electrical shorts or mechanical jams. This phenomenon has been found to extend even to scanning 988 for its contents, as attempts at sonographic and electrographic imaging have similarly failed.

SCP-989 - Self-Defense Sugar

SCP-989 is a mass of sugar crystals interlaced with a substance from the chemical formula H7Xe2O4C8. 989 is contained within SCP-989-2, an ornate silver shaker with the logo for Marshall, Carter, and Dark engraved on the bottom. When 989 is released and elevated, it becomes suspended in midair. The crystals will then surround whoever threw them, and will do so for precisely 7 minutes, 18 seconds. This process has shown no adverse effect on the thrower thus far, as the sugar will not come within two millimeters of them even if they walk through the cloud directly. If any other living being enters the cloud, 989 will surround the subject and force its way into their mucous membranes, causing severe lacerations and coating the area with formations akin to rock candy. This is non-fatal, but it leaves the subject blind and deaf, with difficulty breathing and severe pain. After exiting suspension, 989 will land on any horizontal surfaces until thrown again.

SCP-990 - Dream Man

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-991 - A Syringe

SCP-991 is a 19cm syringe made from steel and unknown materials. When inserted into the blood vessel of a human and drawn, the syringe fills with an unknown black fluid, given the designation SCP-991-2. Once drawn from an individual, the plunger cannot be pressed unless the needle has been inserted into another human. Attempts to draw 991-2 from a vein using a normal needle immediately after injection have been met with failure, as 991-2 either disperses or becomes immaterial upon injection. When injected, a subject will instantly take on the thoughts, emotions, and memories of the donor at the time of injection. The effects of 991 often result in subjects becoming unhinged, especially if they receive multiple injections. They begin to possess conflicting viewpoints and ideas, and exhibit symptoms similar to those of schizophrenia. After repeated donations, donors often begin to exhibit symptoms consistent with Alzheimer's Disease, sometimes resulting in the loss of fundamental faculties.

SCP-992 - Gaia's Emissary

SCP-992 is an elderly Aboriginal man of Pitjantjatjara ethnicity. 992 claims to be between 57-71 years old, but he has appeared not to age in the 65 years he has been contained. He will attempt to engage in conversation with individuals who visit his containment chamber, typically consisting of describing his unsubstantiated prophetic abilities, and engaging the visitor in philosophical debates. When left alone, 992 attempts to converse with various forms of flora and fauna, occasionally claiming to receive prophetic visions while conversing. These conversations will usually take place over the course of several hours, with 992 holding a one-sided conversation with the organism he is focused on. If asked about the topic of the conversations, he will frequently allude to vague events which have not occurred, as well as claiming to have predicted various, widely-publicized natural disasters.
  • I Know Your True Name: SCP-992 has the mystical ability to know the true names of things, including living things such as human beings (both living and dead) and plants. He is able to create things he has named, including unusual weather and the Aurora Australis.
  • Magical Native American: SCP-992 is a male Australian Aborigine who claims to be 57-71 years old, but hasn't aged in the 65 years that he's been contained by the Foundation. He appears to be able to control the weather and talk to plants.

SCP-993 - Bobble the Clown

See Characters.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 999.

SCP-994 - Some Silver Dishes

SCP-994 is a species of airborne creature bearing no resemblance to any known phylum. They generally appear circular, with a flat ventral surface and curved dorsal side. 994 have no distinctive features on the dorsal side, outside of a layer of short, highly reflective silver fur and the orifices of the respiratory tracts. They have no visible eyes, instead sensing their surroundings through a combination of echolocation and thermal sensitivity. 994 are capable of flight and can reach incredible speeds, the highest recorded speed being in excess of Mach 2. The creatures’ behavior is highly social, with a complex hierarchy within flocks. Elder females serve as the ruling matriarchs, each one leading a smaller sub-division of a dozen or so individuals. While the flock as a whole will act as one unit, sub-flocks will display a shifting network of rivalries and alliances between them. 994 will generally avoid humans in the wild, fleeing if one comes within a certain distance.

SCP-995 - Under The Couch

SCP-995 is an organism with shared traits of both animals and fungi. Its life cycle starts with it appearing as a spore, which stays dormant until it finds an area with low light and sufficient moisture, though the spores have more probability of growing under artificial structures such as household furniture. The spore will then grow into a soft, organic mass which feeds off microorganisms in air. As it matures, 995 will feed on larger organisms such as insects and rodents, as well as household pets and infants. The specimen will then start generating more instances of itself via the typical reproduction of spores. If a large population of 995 has spawned in a small area, they are capable of infesting a house by the hundreds in a few days.

SCP-996 - Broken Topology

SCP-996 is a sheet of sheer gray fabric which takes the shape of a circle with a 0.5-meter diameter when not under stress. The fabric seems to be infinitely elastic, as it will stretch under small amounts of force and large amounts fail to rupture it. Attempts to puncture 996 will result in deformations around the puncture implement without tearing the material. As it possesses a thickness, volume, and mass of zero, 996 can intersect itself, with two folded halves pass through one another. Despite its infinitely thin thickness, the material is not sharp and bends harmlessly at a touch.

SCP-997 - Vermin Suppressor

SCP-997 is a metallic device superficially resembling a lamp without a bulb, believed to function as an antenna. When connected to a power source and turned on, 997 emits a field that affects every human within about 250 meters of it. All subjects affected by the field become unable to perceive anything they would consider vermin. The effect extends to sufficiently accurate representations of vermin, and is based on subjective judgement, so one individual may perceive something that another may not.

SCP-998 - Missing Aircraft

SCP-998 is a MC-130E "Combat Talon" military aircraft with the call sign "Blackbird One-Niner", formerly assigned to the United States Air Force. The aircraft evidently disappeared without a trace during a covert operation in 1973, along with 5 crew members, 3 passengers, and a classified cargo. Blackbird One-Niner was originally believed to have crashed under adverse weather conditions, but a search for the wreckage was conducted and called off three months later with no results. Despite this, the Foundation has archived a series of transmissions from the aircraft, primarily filled with eerie sounds, mentions of a mysterious fog, and the crew and passengers screaming.
