The nine remaining teams head to the Rocky Mountains in Canada. While there, they must eat giant pots of pork and beans, before going on to ride a mechanical bull. Along the way, both Noah and Emma are still reeling from their recent heartbreak.

- Butt-Monkey: Nobody takes Dwayne seriously after his tattoo incident the previous episode.
- Does Not Like Spam: Stephanie hates beans, which proves to be a problem when a challenge involves eating an entire pot of them (and some pork).Stephanie: I'm not usually a Picky Eater, but beans are the grossest food on the planet and should never be consumed by human beings ever. That's it.
- Drives Like Crazy: Owen only has a learner’s permit and scoops up several animals on the way.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Dwayne and Junior finally connect as they're eliminated. The last scene of them has them deciding to go home and watch Pahkitew Island together.
- Gasshole: After eating the pot of beans, Owen farts loudly enough to shake the building, break multiple windows and set off a car alarm.
- The Glomp: After they get eliminated, Dwayne begins to sigh in disappointment but is interrupted by Junior tackle-hugging him.
- Heroic BSoD: Once again, Devin continues to go through the "seven stages of heartbreak". This episode, he goes through desperation, willing to do anything to win Shelley back.
- Noah also goes through one in a catatonic state after Emma rejected him.
- The Load: Noah is near-catatonic following Emma's rejection of him in "Maori or Less", forcing Owen to carry him though the challenges.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Emma feels terrible upon realising the impact her rejection had on Noah.
- Noodle Incident: Apparently Crimson used to ride real bulls back in her grandma’s farm, but she doesn’t want to talk about it.

- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a play on the show Little House on the Prairie.
- Reverse Psychology: Ryan utilises this to get Stephanie to eat her share of the pot by insulating that she couldn't.
- Running Gag: Brody being thrown off the mechanical bull.
- Series Continuity Error: In ‘My Way Or Zimbabwe‘, Geoff reveals he uses superglue on his hat, rendering it unable to fall or be pulled off, but in this episode, he manages to pull of off and give it to Brody. It’s most likely he managed to thaw off the glue, making his hat able to be pulled off again.
- Show Within a Show: Total Drama Pahkitew Island is also a TV show In-Universe as well as out, with Dwayne and Junior being seen watching an episode on the plane and electing to go home and watch the rest of the season upon being eliminated.
- This Is Gonna Suck: Carrie's reaction to Devin going though desperation.Carrie: Yeah, this is gonna be great.
- Too Much Information: Don's reaction to Crimson telling him about the rotting skull in the sun.
