The teams travel to Mexico. There, one member has to eat a pepper while the other jumps off a cliff to retrieve a tip. After receiving it, the teams must ride their burros to the Chill Zone. The Ice Dancers kidnap the Goths' pet bunny, Loki, and Carrie makes an unlikely friend in Ryan.

Tropes

  • The Bad Guy Wins: The Ice Dancers cause the elimination of the Goths.
  • Big "NO!": Ennui lets out a monotone one after he realises Loki is missing.
  • Big "YES!": Sanders over the Ice Dancers getting slapped with a penalty at the finish line, thus ensuring they lose out on first place.
  • Butt-Monkey: Devin suffers some hilarious abuse in this episode: he gets blinded after rubbing pepper juice into his eyes, has difficulty speaking after trying to eat a red pepper, mistakes a rock for a mule, and falls over trying to hit a butterfly.
  • Continuity Nod: Some of the chickens on the bus resemble Clucky from Pahkitew Island.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Don fully admits he never expected the Goths to get this far in the race.
  • Eye Scream: Devin accidentally rubs hot pepper juice into his eyes, blinding him due to an allergic reaction.
  • Fire-Breathing Diner: The contestants have a choice of three different peppers, each determining how high their partner must jump from the cliff: yellow is the mildest but requires the partner jump from the top, green is in-between and requires the partner jump from the middle and red is the hottest and lets the partner jump from the lowest point.
  • In-Series Nickname: MacArthur's is revealed to be "The Volcano" back at the Police Academy. She originally thought it was because of her love of spicy food, but later figures out (after getting angry at Sanders) that it was because of her temper.
  • Morton's Fork: Ryan points out that Stephanie will be angry at him, regardless of how quickly or slowly he performs his end of the challenge, so he doesn't feel much pressure to get moving.
  • Nice Guy: Ryan so much so that he helps the Best Friends along without a second thought.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: Or No Bunny Gets Left Behind, as Crimson puts it, as she and Ennui put off the competition in order to find Loki.
  • Not So Stoic: Downplayed with Ennui after losing Loki. His voice slightly gets higher and his appearance is noticeably more frazzled.
  • Odd Friendship: Carrie and Ryan bond over their failed romances.
  • Spoof Aesop: Geoff and Brody learned from this outing to never trust bus station burritos.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: After the Goths are eliminated, Loki pantomimes to the Ice Dancers that they better watch their backs.
  • Throat-Slitting Gesture: When the Goths are eliminated, Loki strikes a Death Glare at Jacques and Josee while rubbing his paw across his throat, terrifying them.
  • Trauma Button: Loki being taken hits Ennui hard (well, in his own way) because, when he was a child, a cat he got for Christmas ran away.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Carrie politely tells Stephanie that she should be more appreciative of and nicer to Ryan since he's such a Nice Guy.
