Fist Pump comes to the Tree Station for a final concert which Mordecai and Rigby are excited to see. However on the way there, their elevator breaks down. Stuck and with no way to get out, the two contemplate where their lives are going.
Tropes:
- Bat Out of Hell: The pair come across one who is the parent of the smaller ones. Luckily he's also a Fist Pump fan and helps them get to the concert.
- Bottomless Pit: The father bat threatens to throw the duo into one for waking his children. Subverted however as it's not bottomless.
- Contemplate Our Navels: While stuck, the two realize they don't know what awaits them in space once their training is finished or if they'll ever be ever to go back to Earth again.
- Continuity Nod:
- Rigby brings up their last attempt to see Fist Pump in "Caffeinated Concert Tickets" which ended with them too exhausted from doing extra work to enjoy the show.
- When stuck in the elevator, the duo think about what they did when they were stuck in the meat locker in "Meat Your Maker". Which was to panic and scream for help.
- Crazy-Prepared: Compared to the last time they wanted to see Fist Pump in "Caffeinated Concert Tickets", Mordecai and Rigby planned ahead. They bought their tickets two weeks in advance, took a "space nap" and gave themselves two hours to get to the show.
- Determinator: Rigby becomes one, determined not to miss Fist Pump again and pushing Mordecai to join him
- Heroic BSoD: Mordecai after stating he misses Earth to which he all but gives up hope to see the concert.
- Locked in a Room: The basis for most of this episode with, as the title says, the duo stuck in an elevator.
- Matchlight Danger Revelation: When the duo manage to escape the elevator, end up in a darken area and Mordecai hits the light switch app on his phone to give them some light. Rigby and he find themselves surrounded by bats.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Rigby is the one who get the two stuck when he absent-mindedly hits the elevator buttons while jamming out to music, causing the elevator to get stuck due to it's old age.
- Papa Wolf: The father bat threatens Mordecai and Rigby for disturbing his kids slumber.
