Mindy's Ice Rink

Mindy wants to ice skate, but it is summer. Jet and the others go to Saturn to get some ice.
  • Brain Freeze: Sunspot gets one in the beginning of the episode after he eats a whole popsicle in one gulp.
  • Failures on Ice: Sean slips not only on Saturn's rings' ice chunks, but also on the ice rink back on Earth.
  • Freeze Ray: Sunspot builds a freeze ray for Mindy to freeze the water in her sandbox.
  • Growling Gut: Sean's stomach rumbles due to stomach pain while Sydney is landing the saucer.
  • Note to Self: After slipping on the ice, Sean records a note to himself that "No matter where you skate, ice is slippery."
  • Ship Tease: At the end of the episode, Jet dances on the ice rink with both Sydney and Sean.
  • Writers Cannot Do Math: Sean says that winter will come in six months. The episode takes place in July, and since December is the start of winter, that means winter will come in five months.

Measure for Measure

The kids make their own scale model of the solar system.
  • Cutaway Gag: This episode has a Family Guy-esque cutaway gag in which Mindy proclaims that astronomical units are the coolest thing since Sunspot playing her flugelhorn, then it cuts to Sunspot playing her flugelhorn.
  • Fast-Forward Gag: While Jet is measuring how many astronomical units Neptune is from the Sun, a video progress bar appears. Sunspot appears behind the bar and fast forwards, speeding up the process.
  • Hiroshima as a Unit of Measure: The kids decide to make a scale model of the solar system in the yard. They use Sunspot as an astronomical unit.
  • Hologram: Jet shows a holographic map of the Solar System to Mindy.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: Sunspot showcases his extremely long tongue, which still isn't long enough to measure the neighborhood.
  • Shout-Out: The episode title is a reference to the William Shakespeare play Measure for Measure.
