In Babylonia, Gudako writhes in agony as she starts being consumed by Tiamat's Black Mud. In her mind, she calls herself a failure. She only has one Command Spell left and her Servants are losing to Tiamat. She hears Avenger Angra Mainyu's voice tell her it is not over. With the last of her strength, she uses her last Command Spell to order Avenger to save them. She feels Angra Mainyu hold her and say he'll grant her wish, then she loses consciousness.

EMIYA Alter wakes up to find himself in a dark void. He's surprised to find his hair is longer and his body feels strange. He remembers Gudako falling into the Black Mud, then he and several of her other Servants panicked and tried to save her. Hassan of the Cursed Arm walks up. He's shorter and less emaciated looking. Hassan says he's not sure what happened. He had assumed they were in some kind of afterlife before realizing they are in a Reality Marble. They spot an unconscious Berserker Lancelot. He wakes up, removes his helmet, and shocks them by being lucid and able to speak. Since he had been operating under Mad Enhancement all this time, he doesn't know what had happened, so they fill him in. They don't see Gudako anywhere, but they can feel her Mana, so she is still alive. The three abruptly realize they have somehow been turned into teenagers. Using Bakuya's blade as a mirror, EMIYA Alter is horrified because aside from his skin, eye, and hair color, he now looks like his hated past self, Shirou Emiya.

The three sit down as they are unable to leave the void. Eventually, Angra Mainyu walks up, startling them into drawing their weapons. After he calms them down, he explains that Gudako's Command Spell allowed him to tap into the Fuyuki Holy Grail, giving him the power to use his Reality Marble, which he's normally not able to do, to save them from Tiamat's Black Mud. The only other time he was able to use it was when he created a "Groundhog Day" Loop to save Bazett Fraga McRemitz's life. He says the good news is that Gudako is safe and is being given medical attention. The bad news is that the four of them will have to enroll in a school for killing monsters for a few years. They all give a Flat "What", and he says it will make sense in a moment.
