  • Blood Knight: Merrick is quite reserved when standing up to the punks, until one suggests he start running immediately. Merrick responds by smiling, leading to a Smash Cut of him effortlessly beating up the whole gang.
  • Cool Bike: During Merrick's rematch with Necronomica, his Wolf Zord appears and transforms into this. This gives Merrick a decisive edge against Necronomica, allowing the others to ultimately hit her with the Jungle Sword's Savage Slash.
  • Dreadful Musician: Karaoke Org weaponizes this, singing so loudly and obnoxiously that the Rangers and even Jindrax double over in pain when hearing it.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Much to his annoyance, Jindrax is dismissed by the Rangers as nothing to worry about and then completely outclassed by Necronomica.
Taylor: This must be some trick, we thought there was real danger here.
  • Everyone Can See It: Taylor picked up on the love history between Merrick and Shayla, though Danny is skeptical.
  • Flashback:

  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Though reasonably polite about it, Merrick insists that he's not here to socialize and won't allow himself to care about the other Rangers. Alyssa points out he already does care by reminding him of when he (as Zen-Aku) bandaged up her wounds.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: Jindrax is just itching to become a General Org and gain the power and prestige that come with that. He's quite miffed over both the Rangers not even pretending to take him seriously and Necronomica being so powerful.
  • Incoming Ham: Necronomica enters with a loud Evil Laugh.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Jindrax to the point that the Rangers openly say they were expecting to encounter an actual threat instead.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Merrick helps Willie against the punks. Willie responds by giving him a job, room to sleep in, and even some new clothes.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: After blasting Merrick, Necronomica does this just before teleporting away.
  • Pet the Dog: Merrick immediately steps up to defend Willie against the punks.
  • The Reveal: Necronomica was the missing Toxica all along, a result of using the power of Nayzors' crown.
  • Right in Front of Me: Necronomica reappears after Merrick takes out Karaoke Org, which actually relieves Jindrax, who expresses annoyance over "that old witch Toxica" being a no-show lately. Then he learns that Necronomica is Toxica.
Jindrax: I had no idea it was you.
    Toxica: Obviously! Old witch, huh?!
Jindrax: I meant that in the nicest possible way.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
    • After Merrick effortlessly smacks them around, the punks immediately retreat on their motorcycles.
    • After Necronomica departs, Jindrax opts to lie low rather than face all the Rangers by himself.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: Merrick regrettably tells Shayla that they can't be together and that he can only be her protector.
  • The Starscream: When Jindrax asks why she did all this, Toxica says it was so that she could stand up to Master Org and learn the truth about his identity.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Merrick's standoffish attitude rankles the other Rangers, leading to him getting called out by Cole in the end.
  • We Will Meet Again: Departing, Necronomica promises to be back to finish Merrick and the others soon.
  • Wham Shot: After Necronomica gets hit with the Jungle Sword, it's Toxica that gets sent flying, with Nayzor's crown then hitting the ground.
