Tropes

  • A Day in the Limelight: For Bulk and Skull.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: The delivery manager doesn’t believe Bulk's claim that monsters were responsible for the thieveries despite Angel Grove being a hotspot for alien invasions over the past FIVE years. Bulk himself is already pretty sure that the boss wouldn’t believe him and Skull before the end, and he turns out to be right! Either the man's been living under a rock for the last half-decade or he really never trusted Bulk and Skull.
  • Bear Hug: At the end of the episode, TJ gets pulled into one by a grateful Bulk.
  • Breather Episode: Focuses on Bulk and Skull and gives the two a happy ending, right before the incredibly dark 2-part finale.
  • Handy Remote Control: How Rygog is able to take control of the other two zords.
  • Hypocrite: Defied. TJ almost berates Bulk and Skull for botching their end of the stakeout, but since he had to sneak off outright because of his Ranger duties, he bites his tongue.
  • Irony: TJ says that while Bulk and Skull are bumbling knuckleheads, they’re definitely not thieves. Good thing he never knew about their petty thefts from the first season of Mighty Morphin'.
  • New Job as the Plot Demands: TJ lampshades how this has been the routine for Bulk and Skull for half a season, but he thinks it speaks well for them that they keep trying rather than just give up.
  • Off-the-Shelf FX: The Triple-Megazord controller is a set of three Tiger R-Zone Super Screens bolted together.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: As Bulk and Skull are about to get arrested, the Rangers teleport in morphed to vouch for their story about Piranahtrons stealing the goods.
  • You Wouldn't Believe Me If I Told You: Use almost word per word by Bulk before explaining that it was space aliens that were stealing the packages.
