- Child Prodigy: Justin is enrolled into Angel Grove High despite only being 12 years old. Mr. Caplan arrives to inform Justin of his high marks and the older Rangers are quite impressed.
- Freeze-Frame Ending: A funny one. The flying fish that Elgar tries to swat lands on Divatox's head and the action concludes with the fool going in for the kill. What happened next is anyone's guess.
- It's Personal: Said word for word by Divatox upon learning of Dimitria's arrival.
- Mood Whiplash: The sobering news of Zordon's departure is briefly interceded by a somewhat amusing battle of the Turbozords and Elgar's cars ramming into each other before forming the Turbo Megazord.
- Noodle Incident: Something apparently went down between Dimitria and Divatox in the past judging from the latter's comments. Nothing more regarding it is properly revealed.
- Put on a Bus: Zordon and Alpha 5.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Elgar and his goons retreat after the Turbo Megazord is formed. It’s one of the smartest things he ever does considering he didn’t witness the Megazord's prior outing with Maligore.
- Wham Episode: Zordon and Alpha 5 return to Eltar leaving the Rangers to be mentored by Dimitria and the street wise Alpha 6.
