Tropes

• Accidental Misnaming: When Jake Morphs into the black Dragon Ranger, he uses the "Blitz" label instead. Noah also calls the blue Blitz Ranger by the title "Lightning."
  • Though it is possible that these Rangers go by individual designations (ala Jungle Fury's "Rhino/Wolf" deal) there's not enough evidence to speculate.
• Adapted Out: While, the rest of the Five-Man Band morphs into "New Powers" Rangers whose teams appeared previously, Troy, rather than changing into Vul Eagle^note Sun Vulcan was not adapted into New Powers. as in Gokaiger, has a more appropriate morph into the original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger. This results in original footage shot of the "New Powers" standing alongside the Red Ranger.
• Last Villain Stand: For Levira.
• Meaningful Echo: When Earth is invaded by millions of Armada ships and Emperor Mavro orders the Rangers to surrender, they decide they need to send him a message, in the form of their post-roll call announcement.
  Troy: Is this enough of a message to get our point across? It's morphin' time!
  Mega Rangers: THIS IS OUR ANSWER: EARTH'S DEFENDERS NEVER SURRENDER!!
• Oh, Crap!: Gosei intercepts a message from Emperor Mavro calling all of the Armada's fleet from across the galaxy to launch an all out invasion of Earth.
• Re-Cut: Combined with the next episode into The Legendary Battle: Extended Edition, with the addition of 43% new footage.
• Transformation Sequence: Not a team morph this time, the Five-Man Band changes one-by-one into a different Ranger: Red becomes Mighty Morphin, Green becomes Lightning Black, Pink becomes Prism Green, Blue becomes Blitz Blue and Yellow becomes Supersonic Yellow. Though, as acknowledged above, Red's morph is new footage, it still riffs on the Sun Vulcan morph from Gokaiger, what with the sun in the background and Red physically clicking on his new helmet.
