When the Armada's Emperor, Mavro, personally heads the invasion of Earth, Damaras is given a final chance to prove himself. As such, Damaras puts his own plan to defeat the Rangers, with Troy put into massive danger.

- Due to it being incompatible with the Mega Rangers' backstoriesnote , the whole plot about the Green Ranger lying about having been a legendary hero before joining the team is dropped.
- The absence of Basco and Sally in Super Megaforce is most egregious in this episode. In Gokaiger, Damaras forced the two of them into helping him ambush and defeat the team. As a result of
Stock Footage Failure, part of Sally can briefly be seen in the battle while Damaras' attacks suddenly become all fiery, a remnant of Basco. Furthermore, the part where Basco, in a Villainous Rescue, fakes the deaths of everyone but Red and Green in a bid to betray Damaras, is amended to them being badly injured by Damaras, forcing Jake to rescue Troy alone while they take time to recover at the Command Center. - There is only one Legendary Ranger Mode in this episode, when Jake becomes Mystic Force Green in his attempt to rescue Troy. In Gokaiger, Don became both Ginga Green (Lost Galaxy Green) then Magi Greennote . Also, the part where all six become Green Rangersnote was not adapted.
- Compressed Adaptation: This episode adapts Gokaiger's two-part showdown with Damaras as well as the introduction of the Emperornote .
