Episode Tropes:

  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Viera calls off the initial attack, after Sarah saves her from a fall. Her attempt to claim she simply wants to study the Rangers further to learn their weaknesses doesn't convince Galvanax or Drillion.
  • Cliffhanger: The Lion Fire Ship is shot out of the sky by the Warrior Dome, leaving Princess Viera stranded on Earth.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Drillion is the first monster in a long time to give the Rangers trouble. In addition to damaging their weapons, he even manages to break apart the Ninja Fusion Zord.
  • Forgiveness: Viera is surprised that Sarah would show mercy to a boy who stole from her.
Sarah: Sometimes, people don't need punishment; they need help. Everyone deserves a second chance.
  • Hypocrite: For all his boasting about strength and accusing others of being weak, Drillion is very quick to beg for mercy in the face of the Lion Fire Ship and ultimately flees.
  • I Never Told You My Name: When Viera expresses surprise over Sarah's capacity for forgiving others.
Viera: You forgave that boy, even though you could've used your strength as a Power Ranger to crush him.
Sarah: How did you know I was a Power Ranger? Wait a minute, I knew you looked familiar!
  • Might Makes Right: The explicit philosophy of the Lion Galaxy. Due to suspicions about her, Viera is on Earth to prove she is strong enough to lead.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Sarah actually didn't believe Viera saying she's learned the value of kindness and forgiveness, to the point of assuming a battle stance. When making his move to overthrow Viera, Drillion confirms she's being quite truthful.
  • Police Lineup: Victor and Monty end up in one for stealing a cow. The one identifying them? The cow.
  • The Starscream: Drillion fully intends to overthrow Viera if she proves to be compassionate.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Billy steals some some cookies from Sarah. He says he and his sister are on their own and have nothing else to eat. Sarah gives him her science project so he can sell cookies and buy some real food.
  • Virtue Is Weakness: Viera has a reputation for being weak and lacking the resolve to abide by her people's Might Makes Right philosophy. The second she admits to Sarah that she's learned the value of kindness and forgiveness, Drillion makes his move to overthrow her and denounces her as a weakling.
