Madame Odious lays a trap for her fellow general Ripcon while also planning on finally getting her hands on the Ninja Steel.

Tropes in this Episode

  • Bait-and-Switch: During the scene where Levi is being overwhelmed by whatever surged into him after the Aiden robot was destroyed, it at first seemed like something bad was happening to him. Turns out it was quite the opposite: his past memories prior to Odius kidnapping him were returning.
  • Big "NO!": Part of Ripcon's last words.
Ripcon: You finally got me, Rat Bait!
  • Big "WHAT?!":
    • Preston when Monty says Victor is still in the hat.
    • Ripcon when accused of hiding Levi aboard the Warrior Dome.
  • Big "YES!": Brody when the final strike against Ripcon is delivered.
  • Bring It: Ripcon in response to Brody preparing the fusion blast.
  • Call-Back: Brody recalls how tough Ripcon was the last time they fought and says he's going to need an edge this time.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The Romero family song, which Brody struggles to remember in full. After the Aiden robot is exposed, Brody questions how he could've possibly known the lyrics, but it's because he had the real Aiden's memories. Levi proves to be Aiden by helping Brody finish the song.
  • Dramatic Irony: Both the Rangers and Galvanax believed that Ripcon was behind the Aiden robot, when the audience is aware that it was really Odius.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: With Ripcon too powerful for even the Megazords, Brody thinks to use the Ninja Fusion Star to create a new combination.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Since he's already a professional singer, Levi prefers to just be in the audience for the talent show rather than overshadow his fellow students.
  • Fake Memories: Levi reasons that Odious gave him these after uploading his real memories in the Aiden robot and that that's why things have been a bit hazy for him.
  • Foreshadowing: As the Aiden robot gets blasted, a surge of energy goes from his head straight to Levi's, and viewers see a series of memories (including Levi wearing a helmet and Dane sitting by a young boy). He later suffers a couple of headaches and has trouble processing it.
  • Frame-Up: Odius successfully frames Ripcon as a traitor and has him sent off to his doom at the hands of the Rangers.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight:
    • After getting his memories back, Levi explains that Dane told him to hide, so he changed his name. When his music career picked up, everyone knew him as Levi and (as he says) he was hiding in plain sight.
    • Aiden expresses surprise that the Rangers' base was in a part of the school the entire time.
  • It's Personal: After the robot trick pulled on him, Brody looks forward to taking down Ripcon.
Ripcon: I've always hated you, rat bait.
    Brody: Feeling's mutual.
  • Last Stand: This is Ripcon’s last stand, being told to kill the Rangers or don’t come back at all.
  • Man Hug: Between the two brothers at the talent show.
  • Never My Fault: After they're trapped in the hat, Victor chastises Monty for trying to steal it. Monty tries to point out Victor was the one who grabbed the hat, only to get yelled at for doing so.
  • The Paralyzer: Aiden uses a blaster to incapacitate Mick and Redbot before stealing the Ninja Steel.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Aiden's eyes flash red, after Ripcon agrees to act as a distraction.
  • Robotic Reveal: That Wham Shot in the last episode? Turns out the Aiden that came to the rangers was a robot created by Odious.
  • Tomato Surprise: Levi learns that he is actually the real Aiden, whose memories were stolen by Odius to put into the trojan robot Aiden.
  • Tragic Keepsake: According to Brody, the song was written after his mother died as a reminder that they were still a family.
  • True Companions: In the final scene, the brothers, Rangers, Mick, and Redbot sing the Romero family song.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Ripcon was this to Odious, serving as both the distraction for Aiden to steal the Ninja Steel for her and being the Fall Guy for her traitorous actions.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: After getting wrecked by the fusion blast, Ripcon flees. Unfortunately, Galvanax makes him go back.
  • We Need a Distraction: How Aiden pitches the plan to Ripcon, saying him attacking the city will cause the Rangers to leave their base unprotected.
  • Wham Episode: Ripcon is gone for good and Levi is revealed to be the real Aiden.
  • Wham Line: Mere moments before the Robotic Reveal: "I am no one's brother."
  • Wham Shot: During the flashback from when Levi was captured by Odius, the Aiden robot is shown having his memories transferred to it.
  • Xanatos Gambit: For Madame Odious. Either her robot plot gets her the remaining Ninja Steel or Ripcon gets the blame for all this and is destroyed.
