The Psycho Rangers have stolen the Mega Voyager, and under orders from Astronema set a trap for the Rangers but having Psycho Yellow possess the Megazord.
This episode includes examples of:
- Batman Gambit: The Mega Vehicles are left out in the open, as giant Psychos Red and Black patrol the area. The trap hinges on the Rangers forming the Mega Voyager immediately to fight them.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: When told they lack teamwork, the Psychos begin to combine energy for a massive blast.
- Gone Horribly Right: Zhane's prank dressing up as Psycho Red. Andros got in quite a few hits before Zhane managed to get the mask off.
- "Hell, Yes!" Moment: The Rangers once their foes are destroyed.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: The Psychos' combined power is greater than that of the four Megazords, so the Rangers can't withstand combined attacks for long. Ashley gets the idea to turn their power back against them, so the Megazords get in formation to absorb energy from the next incoming blast. After the capacitors get charged up, the Mega Voyager's amped-up Finishing Move takes out the Psychos.
- Near-Villain Victory: Psycho Yellow has control of the Mega Voyager and most of the Rangers trapped inside, while Psycho Red has the Delta Megazord and Mega Winger chained up. That is, until Alpha intervenes with the Astro Megazord.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Psycho Red teleporting Andros out of the Mega Voyager for a personal showdown. It gives Andros the opportunity to get inside the Astro Megazord once Alpha pilots it from the bridge.
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Deconstructed by Psycho Red, who goes off the deep end and completely derails the plan because of his own obsession.Psycho Red: Get out of my way! No one is gonna destroy the Red Ranger but me! Not Astronema, not you, not Psycho Yellow. It's my destiny! Now, step aside and let me through!
- Only Sane Man: Psycho Black tries to keep Psycho Red from losing it and openly fears what Astronema will do to them if they fail.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: "Back at ya, Psychos!"
- Properly Paranoid: Once the Mega Vehicles are located, the others immediately want to head out to reclaim them, but Zhane urges caution and says the Psychos must have something planned.
- The Psycho Rangers: Deconstructed. The Psychos spend almost as much time fighting each other as they do the Rangers. Andros, Carlos, and Zhane note the Psychos will never win because they're incapable of teamwork.
- The Scapegoat: Dark Specter figured out the Psycho Rangers were what was causing his power drains. Astronema makes herself look loyal by insisting she was responsible for their defeat.
- Troll: Zhane pranks Andros by dressing up like Psycho Red in the end.
