The efforts to calm down and subdue the rampaging birds continues, but the forces of good appear to be gaining ground. But, unfortunately, it's all part of a ruse as Team Hectic mobilizes to get what the really come for.
The chapter contains the following examples:
- Batman Gambit: Team Hectic counted on the police and good samaritans to be distracted by the rampaging birds, allowing them to sneak into Xavier's lab and attempt to kidnap him as part of an order.
- Canon Welding: May is wearing the same exact outfit as her game counterpart in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire according to Word of God.
- The Dreaded: This chapter establishes that Team Hectic is this to the residents of Tenla. You know you're this when mere grunts at the bottom of the barrel petrifies people in fear.
- Family-Friendly Firearms: The "contraptions" on Team Hectic's hands fire lasers but are treated as heinously as actual guns.
- Fastball Special: As part of a plan to stop Unfezant blowing thins up with a Hyper Beam, Aaron's Lucario throws Jacob's Typhlosion as the latter uses Flare Blitz.
- Giant Eye of Doom: Ian spooks Brock with an improvised version of Dusclops's Mean Look as punishment for "not leaving me a piece of that Unfezant".
