Continuing their journey to Fillydelphia City, the group watches a young trainer named Applejack stop a stampede of Calfaze and Grattle with her Redog, Winona. While Flash develops a friendly rivalry with Applejack, Spike develops a crush on her friend, Rarity.
- Cats Are Mean: Opal acts mean to Spike even when he tries to be nice to her, scratching at him twice, the first time leave scratch marks and the second causing him to pull back terrified.
- Double Knockout: The battle between Prongs and Winona ends in a draw with both of them knocked out.
- Hates Being Touched: Rarity says Opal does not like strangers in her personal space, as seen when she scratches at Spike for trying to pet her.
- Precocious Crush: Just like in canon, Spike develops one for Rarity as soon as he lays eyes on her.
- Wingding Eyes: As part of his Love at First Sight, Spike suddenly gains hearts in his eyes as soon as he lays eyes on Rarity, showing his crush on her. Amusingly, the other characters notice this and comment on it.Applejack: Is that normal?
Twilight: Uh... no actually. That's... new.
