Recap / Pleasant Goat And Big Big Wolf MLD Episode 3

Go To

Chinese title: "Gougou Hao Huoban" (狗狗好伙伴)
English title: "Doggy, a Good Friend"
Original airdate: January 18th, 2019

Wolffy becomes a spy in his doggy form and works to have the goats let him follow them. Wonky is told that there is a spy working with the goats, but thinks it's Weslie.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Body Pocket: Mr. Slowy turns his "pockets" inside out when he searches for Yang Guoguo's postcard and realizes it's missing.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Wolffy attempts to exploit the trope by using his cute puppy charm to win the goats over, but it fails and they still mostly refuse to let him follow them at first.
  • His Name Is...: Wonky is told by General Wolf over the phone that Wolffy is the wolves' spy, but the call is interrupted before he can finish saying the name, and Wonky comes to the incorrect conclusion that the spy is Weslie instead.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Wonky ends up falling victim to his own chomping plant trap twice, both times at the hands (er, paws) of Wolffy.
  • Man-Eating Plant: Wolky sets up pitfalls with man-eating plants inside them, intending to have them attack the goats. Both times they do bite, it ends up being Wolky himself.
  • Mistaken for Spies: Due to their phone call ending abruptly, Wolky assumes General Wolf has assigned Weslie the role of the wolves' spy. It isn't until the end of the episode when he finds out that it was Wolffy, and General Wolf was asking one of his servants to go wash his apples at that point in the conversation.
  • Pit Trap: Twice, Wolky sets up pitfalls containing ravenous plants, both covered up in such a way that they blend in with the surrounding ground, to capture the goats.
  • Precious Puppy: The goats find Wolffy to be an absolutely adorable little puppy, with Wolffy trying (and failing) to use his cuteness to convince the goats to let him follow them around.
