Go To

Candace accidentally becomes ruler of Phineas and Ferb's giant ant farm; Doofenshmirtz tries to exploit the soporific effects of a turkey dinner with his latest invention, the Turkey-inator.

Tropes:

  • By the Lights of Their Eyes: Monogram tells Carl to turn the lights off in Perry's lair. After Perry leaves, Monogram tells Carl to turn the lights back on, but Carl doesn't respond. An evil laugh is heard that sounds like Carl, but Carl claims it wasn't him.
  • Continuity Nod: When Candace tells her mother she was the ant queen, Linda snarks, "Just like on Mars".
  • Don't Explain the Joke: Doof says that his next scheme will be "trypto-fun", then he says, "You know, 'tryptophan', trypto... it's like... you know, like... I'm wasting all this wordsmithing on a platypus."
  • Failed a Spot Check: When Phineas shows the scale model of the Antius Maximus, he reveals the real one was behind them. Lampshaded by Isabella when she says, "How did we miss that?"
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: During the song, in the long shot, it is shown that Candace was made queen ant.
  • Food Coma: Doof's inator is based around the common misconception that the tryptophan in turkey causes lethargy at the end of Thanksgiving. It has since been debunked, since it is overeating in general that causes this.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: When Buford sees the model of the Antius Maximus, which is a regular-sized ant farm, Buford remarks that it should be called the "Anti-Climaximus". Later, when the gang compliment Phineas for his "Gi-ant" pun, Buford says, "Oh, fine. And I just get an eye-roll for Anti-Climaximus?"
  • Last-Second Word Swap: "Phineas and Ferb, you are so bu... bu... bu... buggy?"
  • Noodle Incident:
    • Phineas asks Candace if she had seen a chicken wearing a baseball hat, since it was his turn to bat.
    • Agent P enters his lair to find Major Monogram and Carl in person, since Monogram explains that the screen is broken "thanks to someone [Carl] who isn't aware that croquet is an outdoor game".
  • Self Botched Catchphrase: Doof tells Perry that next time he see him, "I will be the indisputable leader of the Tri-State Area! And when I say 'indisputable', I mean 'totally disputable!' Wait! No, no, that doesn't work. I mean, uh... uh, 'putable'! I-I mean, 'puta'—no. Eh, the moment's gone."
  • Shout-Out: Doof gets his head stuck in a turkey. He even comments "it can't be the first time someone's got their head stuck in a turkey."
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: When the gang smell the ant pheromones, Buford says that it smells like his grandmother's house. Later, when Candace gets sprayed several times, since she thought it was the doorbell, she also says it tastes like Buford's grandmother's house.
  • Suddenly Speaking: The gi-ants at first more or less act like regular ants, until Candace becomes their queen, then they evolve their ways, to the point that they have gained the ability to speak.
  • Tempting Fate: Doof is briefly excited that he can finally finish his sentences without getting punched in the— Until Perry escapes his trap and punches him anyway.
  • Title Drop: By Phineas.
