For the first time, the episode opens not in the Loud house, but in the Casagrande/Santiago apartment. The Santiago siblings are on the couch, accompanied by Sid, CJ, and Carl. On video chat, Lincoln reveals that Ronnie Anne will be hosting some episodes from now on. They will be reading The Bestie That Stole My Heart.
The fanfic opens on Sid texting Ronnie Anne at night due to boredom. The real Ronnie Anne reveals that she and Sid do text each other at night, and Sid once texted her at two AM to wonder why they don't make chocolate butter. Fanfic Ronnie Anne invites Sid to go for a walk in the park, but the real Ronnie Anne points out that she'd get mugged by the cats. Carl tries to claim he could protect her as he knows "taikidofujitsu".
Fanfic Sergio, meanwhile, is snoring and sleep-apologising for various incidents. The girls agree to go for their walk and Bobby complains about the point-of-view switch. Fanfic Ronnie Anne goes out and for some reason becomes very paranoid, even wondering if Sid is a secret agent. Fanfic Sid arrives, scaring Ronnie Anne and prompting her to punch her in the face.
After things are cleared up, the girls have a teasing match and it's revealed that Adelaide essentially ships them due to wanting "another sister", which then leads to fanfic Sid suddenly kissing Ronnie Anne. This embarrasses them both as they keep walking.
They then get to the park and watch the stars, then they hug and fanfic Sid gets cold. Ronnie Anne wants them to go home (and Bobby thinks that she should offer fanfic Sid her hoodie as it's "Romance 101", but the real Sid says that it may not be a romance story and the title may be "fascist"— she means "facetious") but fanfic Sid snuggles up to keep warm instead, prompting a "cuddle pile" from the people on the couch, with Bobby being a bit annoyed. Their hug gets very personal, proving that the story is indeed a romance.
Fanfic Ronnie Anne remembers that Arturo used to watch the stars with her before the divorce when she had nightmares. Then, the girls get sleepy and decide to take a nap. The end.
The gang decides to go to the park for real, and Ronnie Anne thinks it's ridiculous that she and Sid could be a couple, but Sid isn't so sure.
