Pinkie Pie comes in and changes Pumpkin's diaper without waking her up, deciding to keep the "accident" a secret. The next morning, Pumpkin is a bit disappointed that she can't show it to Pound to make him feel better, but resolves to give up on the whole "using diapers at night" thing once Pound makes it clear he's going to stop avoiding his potty.
Pound, still having a literal pain in the butt from his shot, he needs to go potty and wonders if the shot is making him need to go a lot as punishment. Pumpkin asks Smarty Pants if that is possible, but Smarty Pants obviously doesn't reply. Pumpkin concludes that Pound is lying to scare her out of her next check-up, though she is a little nervous and glad that her next check-up isn't for weeks.
Mr. Cake then takes Pumpkin to the store, which confuses her because they've only been shopping a day ago. Mr. Cake explains that he's allowing Pumpkin to graduate from diapers to pull-ups, which, he explains to her, are sort of like diapers but for older foals. Pumpkin is confused, and a little unsure, but Mr. Cake tells her that it'll make sense eventually.
At the store, Mr. Cake looks over the pull-ups and chooses a pack, then Pumpkin needs to use the bathroom. Mr. Cake takes her to the mares' bathroom and reveals that there is no room to put her potty down so she has to use the toilet. Pumpkin is nervous because she fell in the last time and even begins to suspect that Mr. Cake wants to flush her down the toilet.
She shouts that she doesn't want to be flushed, and Mr. Cake asks why she'd think he was going to flush her. She says that everything that falls in toilets has to be flushed, and he corrects her, then holds her in place while she goes.
