"You Also Have a Pizza" is the sixth episode of Season 2 of Orange Is the New Black.
It's Valentines Day, and love is in the air. Poussey's back story and love affair with the daughter of a German officer is shown. Vee gets her girls moved to custodial. Piper starts a prison newsletter as a cover for her investigation of Figueroa's embezzling.
This episode provides examples of the following tropes:
- A Day in the Spotlight: Poussey. We find some Hidden Depths in her fluent German.
- Artistic License – Military: The Oberstleutnant father of Poussey's girlfriend walks in on them having sex, and is clearly wearing the insignia of an SS-Oberstgruppenführer, even though Nazi uniforms and memorabilia are illegal in Germany.
- Big Damn Kiss: Larry smooches Polly on impulse. Immediately subverted when Pete arrives. He didn't see anything, but Larry still gets incriminating looks from Polly through the remainder of the scene.
- Big "SHUT UP!": Sister Ingalls tells Soso to shut up and stop talking.
- Brutal Honesty: Vee tells Poussey that Taystee will never love her like she wants.
- Cure Your Gays: The Oberstleutnant tells Poussey's father that "there are places that can cure your daughter's condition.'' Fortunately, Major Washington is a Papa Wolf and says there is nothing wrong with his daughter.
- Epileptic Trees: In-universe example of Soso discussing the idea that Ferris Bueller isn't real, just a figment of Cameron's imagination.
- Fanservice: Poussey and her German girlfriend having sex.
- Daya and Bennett having sex in an office.
- The General's Daughter: The German commandant is actually an Oberstleutnant (lieutenant colonel), but it still fits.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Discussed. Poussey is at a party with her girlfriend and one of their friends wants to watch. "Nein, motherfucker, nein." Subverted with their awkward attempt at tribadism.
- Interrupted Intimacy: The general busts in on his daughter and Poussey having sex.
- I Take Offense to That Last One: Leanne calls Pennsatucky "some kind of Hillary Clinton dictator". Pennsatucky's indignant response is "You calling me Hillary Clinton?"
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Daya and Bennett have sex on a office desk.
- Pet the Dog: Healey gives Pennsatucky a cookie to comfort her and she hugs him.
- The Mole: What Larry wants Piper to be, to aid him and Andrew Nance in investigating the prison's finances.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Larry delivers one to Piper. Poussey delivers one to Vee.
- Shout-Out: To Alice in Wonderland. Poussey reads a passage, then Taystee agrees that Lewis "must have gone to prison."
- Situational Sexuality: Martiza and Flaca get drunk and kiss to see if they could be together, only to awkwardly laugh it off and stay friends instead.
- Title Drop: During Maritza and Flaca's Valentine's Day interview, Flaca describes being in love as climbing into a warm bath with good music. "You also have a pizza."
