Summary
Racules has called the overseer of the Kingdom of Gokkan, Rita Kaniska, and confesses to the murder of his researcher Vedalia; demanding to be put on trial for it. Meanwhile, Kamejim capitalizes on the absence of the King and plots an attack on the Kingdom of Shuggodam.
Tropes
- The Assimilator: Shidejim is revealed to have done this to Vedalia, having puppeteered her corpse for The Infiltration. It's also necessary for him to retain his intelligence, otherwise he's little more than a shambling mess with weak memory.
- Death Glare: The episode ends with Racules looking at an off-screen Shidejim with bloodlust from his visible eye.
- Mood Whiplash: The start of the episode transitions from Racules and Rita discussing murder to a Boke and Tsukkomi Routine between Kamejim and Shidejim.
- Never Trust a Trailer: The preview for this episode frames events as though Racules will battle Shidejim in Gokkan. The two don't fight at all and the Bognaarok attack Shugoddam instead, fended off by King-Ohger ZERO on autopilot.
- Not Proven: Exploited. Racules confesses to Vedalia's murder to get himself put on trial in Gokkan, knowing full-well that the Boggnarrok would take advantage of his absence to try and collect Vedalia's body and hijack his research. Rita realizes that even with the liquid they extracted from the body, it does nothing to implicate Racules directly, forcing them to let him go and repel his kingdom's attackers.
- Once More, with Clarity: During Racules' trial, the Finishing Move against Vedalia plays out again, but Shidejim is seen crawling out of her body afterward.
- The Plan: Racules' trial in Gokkan was a deliberate ploy to bait the Bognaarok into attacking Shugoddam while he was absent, fully expecting Shidejim to return to the castle to take Vedalia's body. The episode ends with the monarch intent on interrogating him.
- The Reveal:
- King-Ohger ZERO was a prototype superweapon that N'Kosopa stopped development on. Racules resumed production of it in secret.
- Rita has been to Racules' research lab, having examined the crime scene and extracted liquid from Vedalia's body for analysis, leading to the reveal that...
- ...Vedalia is not a Half-Human Hybrid like assumed. She was a human corpse being puppeted by Shidejim.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Played for Laughs. After leaving Vedalia's corpse, Shidejim fled the castle. He fled as far as Toufu, requiring Kamejim to go out and find him.
- Spotting the Thread: During his trial, Racules explains that he saw Shidejim crawl out of Vedalia body and run off after he cut her down with the Lord Finish. Hence the need for him to be absent.
- The Unfought: Racules does not fight Shidejim again this episode, but instead intercepts the Bognaarok during another attempt to infiltrate the castle. The episode ends with the monarch's eye looming dangerously at the screen.
