A one-shot comic that focuses on three short stories set in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.

  • "Detention Is Magic": The girls end up in detention for supposedly pranking Ms. Harshwhinny, with each suspecting it was one of them who did it.

  • "Dashin' Around": Rainbow Dash finds out A.K Yerling is doing a book signing and wants to go there. But is reminded she promised to help Applejack and her family at her farm.

  • "Getting Seconds": An athletic event is set to take place at Canterlot High. Dash expects to win them all, but the girls end up doing better than her and keep causing her to come in second.

Also included is "The Fall of Sunset Shimmer".

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Canterlot High: March Radness provides examples of:

  • All for Nothing:
    • In "Detention Is Magic", the girls manage to find out what really happened and explain this to Ms. Harshwhinny to clear their name. But by that point detention was over, they spent so long arguing about it they lost track of time (Dash does get her basketball back at least).
    • Subverted in "Dashin' Around". After Applejack finds out about the book signing, Dash and she race to the bookshop but are too late. However, A.K was just leaving the building, so Dash still gets to meet her and get her book signed.
  • Animesque: The style for this one is notably more manga looking.
  • Assumed Win: Dash thinks she'll take all the events easily in "Getting Seconds". But ends up getting Humble Pie when her friends keep beating her at different events.
  • Jaw Drop: Dash upon seeing Pinkie Pie beat her in gymnastics.
  • Punny Name: The book's title is a pun on "March Madness" which is the title of the NCAA college basketball tournament that take place during that month. Dash's basketball in "Detention Is Magic" is a allusion to that.
  • "Rashomon"-Style: "Detention Is Magic" focuses on this with the girls accusing each other of being the one that threw the pie at Ms. Harshwhinny and landed them in detention. Rarity eventually clears things up by showing them the footage from her vidcast that correlates to all their stories showing it was just a chain of Disaster Dominoes.
  • Second Place Is for Losers: The attitude Dash has in "Getting Seconds" when the other girls do better then her in each event, causing her to feel overshadowed. The girls assure her she's still the best at sports and that it took practice for them to even do well at one event. Plus even so, their passions lay in other fields and they only practiced just to do their best and for the fun of it. Their point gets proven when they play in the final day's soccer match and Dash's expertise lead them to victory.
