- Honey Trap: Turns out the guy who approached Angela in "Eps 2.0 unm4sk-pt2.tc", Andre, was planted by Dom to spy on her.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: In the opening flashback scene, Trenton and Mobley both tell Darlene they were expecting to meet with Elliot. The viewer is likely expecting him too, after the big reveal of the previous episode, but he never shows.
- Make It Look Like an Accident: While she doesn't bother doing this with the actual murder, Darlene does use this as her excuse when she tells Mobley and Trenton that Susan is dead. Nobody buys it.
